Chapter 76: Killing in the Forest

"Are you ready?" Li Feiyu urged impatiently the moment Han Li walked out of the house.

Han Li gave Li Feiyu a cold glare, then walked to another smaller room and said coldly through the tightly closed door:

"Qu Hun, come out. I'll need you tonight."

No sooner had Han Li finished speaking than, with a loud bang, the wooden door was violently smashed to pieces as if it were made of paper. Amidst the flying splinters, a massive figure slowly emerged from inside.

Li Feiyu's eyes widened in a daze. He stared, stunned, at the giant man before him, whose aura was like that of a demon but whose face was hidden by a hooded cloak.

The giant man silently moved to stand behind Han Li.

"Let's go!" Han Li said with a smile. This time, it was his turn to urge the dazed Li Feiyu.

"Oh!" Li Feiyu finally snapped out of his trance.

He cast a strange look at Han Li, then at the giant man, then closed his mouth tightly and led the way silently out of the valley.

Han Li looked at Li Feiyu's retreating back and smiled faintly, then quickened his pace to catch up with him. The giant man, Qu Hun, followed closely behind him, never leaving his side.

Han Li was very pleased with Li Feiyu's discretion. It was precisely because they respected each other's privacy that they were able to form such a close friendship.

The group walked quickly, and in the blink of an eye, they reached the vicinity of the valley entrance. Just as Li Feiyu lifted his leg to step into the forest, Han Li suddenly stretched out his right hand and gripped his shoulder, preventing him from moving forward.

"Yes, according to the map and this large bell, this is definitely the place. Make sure you remember, the Commander has issued a death order: you are only allowed to capture the Divine Physician in the valley alive. No one is to harm them, otherwise, you will be dealt with according to gang rules. Understood?" commanded another person, whose voice was sharp like a crowing rooster.

A chorus of affirmative replies rang out. Judging by their voices, there were at least a dozen people, and each one had strong vital energy, seemingly possessing considerable martial arts skill.

The startled cries and agonizing screams within the forest erupted intensely for a moment, but then gradually faded, and before long, absolute silence fell.
