Chapter 734: Avoiding Disaster in the Belly

Chen Ling froze for several seconds, his eyes flaring with anger.

"Are you playing with me?!"

They said they'd remove his shackles once they arrived, but the destination turned out to be inside Jizai's belly... Jizai is an apocalypse-level entity! What's the difference between this and merely toying with him, to have one world-destroyer swallow another?

"I'm not playing with you; the place I need to go is indeed inside it," Master calmly replied. "If you don't want to go, you can leave now."

"You..."

Chen Ling glared at Master for a long time, the fury in his eyes burning fiercely before he reluctantly swallowed it back. He gritted his teeth and said coldly, "Fine, you'd better keep your word."

Chen Ling's form flickered, transforming into a streak of light that plunged into the sea. As the red paper umbrella spun overhead, the boundless seawater parted, forming a vacuum tunnel that extended all the way to the end of the dark abyss.

"No... Senior Red King, are we really going into Jizai's belly?" Jian Changsheng's mouth dropped open in disbelief.

To Jian Changsheng, their journey, having charged straight through to this point, was already quite outrageous. But now it seemed he had been too conservative... What Master was about to do, how was it any different from bandits breaking into someone's home and disemboweling the owner in front of their subordinates?

"Of course it's true."

"No... Why? Are you trying to use a tiger to swallow a wolf?"

"You'll know once we're inside Jizai's belly." With those words, Master lightly touched the sea surface with his toes and plunged into the Forbidden Sea.

Jian Changsheng, resigned, could only follow close behind.

Seeing the three actually heading towards the seabed, the many Eighth-Tier Calamities observing from a distance immediately grew restless.

They knew that was the resting area of the Forbidden Sea's master. They had assumed Chaocai would just stir up some trouble and then leave. They never expected that the Monkey King wouldn't be content with just the Sea-Stabilizing Needle; instead, he was going straight for the Dragon King of the East Sea!

Just as they were about to make a move, the next moment, a second apocalypse-level aura surged forth from the deep seabed!

BOOM—!!!

At the bottom of the deep sea, filled with chilling cold and darkness, a pair of enormous eyes, like pale lanterns, slowly opened.

From the moment Chen Ling and the others intruded into the Forbidden Sea until now, its king had never actively released its aura, letting them rampage through its territory. But as they headed directly for the seabed, even Jizai, who disliked conflict, could no longer remain passive.

Apocalypse-level pressure filled the seawater, and deep-sea ripples spread wildly outwards. The abyssal dark seabed suddenly began to tremble violently, like an earthquake!

A deep hum resonated—

As the water vibrated, the seabed visibly cracked!

Dust and debris churned on the seabed. Submarine mountains slowly rose and formed from the crustal shifts, countless ravines appeared on the ocean floor, even directly engulfing some lower-tier calamities!

This scene was like an underwater apocalypse.

"Senior Red King!" The seawater churned around Jian Changsheng as if boiling, and his face turned deathly pale with fright.

Master grabbed Jian Changsheng, who was about to drift away, and stood solemnly on the seabed, his gaze fixed on the large red paper umbrella that had sunk to the deepest part of the ocean.

Two apocalypse-level beings silently faced each other in the deepest part of the Forbidden Sea.

Before those two lantern-like eyes resembling suns, Chen Ling's figure was incredibly tiny. He wore white paper shackles, yet his expression was full of disdain and contempt as he coldly spoke:

"What are you looking at, old geezer...? What? You don't want those last few teeth either?"

Those two gigantic lantern eyes grew even brighter and more dazzling!

The next moment, countless runes emerged around the giant eyes.

Within the abyssal dark seawater, the outline of an enormous creature slowly took shape... It was a being even larger than the Dust Dragon, sprawling beneath the deep sea. Its form was indistinct, but its oppressive aura even overshadowed Chen Ling, as if a mere gaze could make the entire ocean tremble!

A black hole-like maw slowly opened at the bottom of the deep sea. White runes illuminated the inner walls of the colossal mouth, and a terrifying suction force directly enveloped the sea area for dozens of kilometers around. All matter seemed to be drawn into an invisible vortex, uncontrollably hurtling towards it!

And Chen Ling, being the closest, was directly at the vortex's center. Compared to his figure, the rune-glowing maw was like a black hole beneath the deep sea, and with a gentle inhale, it swallowed him whole...

As Chen Ling was swallowed whole, the water-repelling effect of the red paper umbrella vanished without a trace. Jian Changsheng was instantly enveloped by the boundless seawater, struggling wildly like a drowning person. Bubbles gurgled from his nose and mouth, his eyes wide with terror.

"Hold your breath."

A faint light flickered in Master's eyes. He held Jian Changsheng's collar with one hand, his body naturally relaxed, and together they were drawn into the massive maw by the underwater vortex, disappearing without a trace.

Jian Changsheng struggled desperately with his hands in the seawater, but only endless darkness remained before his eyes.

He felt as if he had been blindfolded and thrown into a tumble dryer, tumbling wildly in countless vortices for nearly a minute before suddenly being ejected, crashing heavily into a space with no water currents!

Jian Changsheng let out a muffled cry of pain. Without time to discern his surroundings, he immediately propped himself up and began spitting out water.

He was completely bewildered, unsure if he was still inside Jizai's belly... He estimated he had drifted in the vortex for over a minute. If that distance represented Jizai's throat and esophagus, just how enormous must its true body be?

Master's opera robe brushed past Jian Changsheng. After his gaze swept around, he raised a hand and lightly snapped his fingers.

Snap—!

As a lingering echo sounded, more than a dozen clusters of scorching flames flew out from Master's sleeve as if by magic, shooting rapidly in all directions and finally hovering in the air at various points.

Under the illumination of these flames, the darkness was quickly dispelled, and the surrounding environment finally became clearly visible.

He finished expelling the water from his stomach, then stumbled to his feet. The next moment, he froze in disbelief.

Beneath his feet was not the soft inner wall of a stomach as he had imagined, but ancient stone bricks imbued with the aura of time. Ruined walls filled the surrounding view, and in the distance, there was even a towering, incomplete structure, resembling an altar.

"This... What is this place?" Jian Changsheng asked, startled. "There's an abandoned temple inside Jizai's belly??"

"This isn't a temple," Master calmly stated.

"This is the missing fragment of the Ancient Witchcraft Treasury, one of the legendary sacred sites of the Witch God Path... This place is the Land of Divine Sacrifice."
