Chapter 894: Rebattle with the Thief Saint

"Huh?"

Mo Lian was initially startled to see his "Mind Serpent" obstructed. Then, as if realizing something, he sharply turned his head to look behind him.

At some unknown point, a figure wearing a white baseball cap stood amidst the wind and snow, a pair of snake-shaped earrings swaying gently.

"It's you? How could you possibly..." Mo Lian's eyes were filled with shock.

Putting aside how Bai Ye could be awake at this moment, it was important to remember that immediately after stealing the "Mind Serpent," Mo Lian had also stolen Bai Ye's memory of how to use this skill. Logically, Bai Ye should have forgotten even how to activate the "Mind Serpent."

Yet, Bai Ye had managed to activate the "Mind Serpent" once again, even without regaining his memories.

How did he recall it?

"Using my own ability to steal my memories... typical of you." Bai Ye strolled leisurely through the snow, hands in his pockets. Simultaneously, a much smaller "Mind Serpent" silently emerged from his shoulder, gently flicking its tongue at Mo Lian.

"If I hadn't happened to encounter a 'Mind Serpent' just now, I might have truly fallen for your trick."

"Another 'Mind Serpent'?" Mo Lian found it inconceivable. "How is that possible? There are only a few of us here. Where would a third God of Thieves Path come from? And one that just happens to be the 'Borrowing Moonlight' path?"

Bai Ye's eyebrows rose slightly. His gaze slowly swept over Chen Ling and the other two in the distance, a mysterious smile playing on his lips.

"Indeed... where could a third God of Thieves Path come from?"

Chen Ling, with blood streaming from his seven orifices, stood still, pretending not to hear.

When Chen Ling activated his domain this time, he only changed two things: first, ensuring Jiang Xiaohua wouldn't be instantly killed by a single strike, and second, awakening Bai Ye.

After all, Chen Ling and his two companions were only Tier 4; even combined, they couldn't stand against Mo Lian's single hand. The only one who could help them break this deadlock was Bai Ye. And while Bai Ye had forgotten how to activate his own "Mind Serpent," it didn't matter. Chen Ling could use his "Mind Serpent" to give him an on-the-spot lesson.

This felt incredibly strange, like a student who had secretly learned a skill now tapping on a blackboard to highlight key points for a teacher suffering from Alzheimer's. Despite the teacher's condition, his innate talent remained, and he truly grasped things with just a hint.

Mo Lian's face grew incredibly grim. Finally, he spoke in a low voice:

"Even if you've remembered, what then? Your 'Mind Serpent' is ineffective against me, but my 'Mind Serpent' can steal everything from you."

"Oh? You can try."

Bai Ye's eyes narrowed slightly.

The next moment, Mo Lian's "Mind Serpent" instantly surged across the snow, opening its gaping maw to bite Bai Ye. However, before it could even get within three meters of Bai Ye, an even thicker "Mind Serpent" erupted from the snow, immediately engaging it in a ferocious struggle.

Of course, only Chen Ling, Mo Lian, and Bai Ye could witness this scene.

Jian Changsheng and the others lacked the "Mind Serpent" ability and couldn't perceive its existence. They could only faintly see flurries of fragmented snow swirling in the empty space between the three, as if something was clashing there.

The two invisible giant serpents, like mythical flood dragons, wrestled amidst the wind and snow. Mo Lian's "Mind Serpent" surged with towering killing intent, constantly attempting to bypass Bai Ye's "Mind Serpent" and reach Bai Ye himself. But Bai Ye's "Mind Serpent" resembled a war god; its movements and sheer size were far more powerful than Mo Lian's.

Mo Lian had only managed to steal a small portion of Bai Ye's memory earlier by catching Bai Ye off guard, thanks to the Silver King's mark on his hat. This time, Bai Ye was prepared. He didn't even need to use his "Mind Serpent" to steal memories; he used it purely for defense. With Mo Lian's half-baked "Mind Serpent" control skills, it was naturally impossible for him to harm Bai Ye in the slightest.

"Bai Ye, I refuse to believe you can win against me like this!"

Mo Lian's expression shifted repeatedly. Gritting his teeth, the black vines that had been suspended in the air instantly transformed back into a heavy staff. He then surged towards Bai Ye's figure with the staff in hand.

Since the "Mind Serpents" couldn't determine the victor, they would have to settle the outcome with the most fundamental "stealing" techniques.

The next moment, their figures flickered rapidly through the snow, darting into the nearby city in the blink of an eye. Bai Ye's "Mind Serpent" whipped its tail, directly smashing Mo Lian's "Mind Serpent" into a shop, with Mo Lian's figure following closely.

Bai Ye landed lightly on the rooftop across the street. Before he could make a move, a dense swarm of weapons materialized above his head, engulfing him like a torrential downpour.

In an instant, Mo Lian had stolen all the weapons in the city, using them to besiege Bai Ye.

Bai Ye didn't look up at the sky. Instead, he let out a cold snort as streaks of white light flashed around him. All weapons that could potentially harm him were stolen by him through the air a step ahead of time. Even standing beneath the sharp edges of millions of weapons, not even a single strand of his hair was cut.

Bai Ye looked up and made a grabbing motion through the air towards the bowler hat on Mo Lian's head.

As long as that hat remained on Mo Lian's head, Bai Ye was destined to be unable to defeat him. The most crucial task now was to remove it.

However, as the Silver King's mark on the inside of the hat flashed, Bai Ye's hand uncharacteristically grabbed nothing but air. Under the aura of the God of Thieves Path leader, no other God of Thieves Path user could steal this hat.

"Damn it..." Bai Ye's expression grew increasingly serious.

"Haha, I knew you'd set your sights on that hat!" Mo Lian laughed heartily. The black palm in his hand instantly transformed into a long, thorny whip, which he swung with a whistle towards Bai Ye on the rooftop.

"Too bad... you can't steal it!"

*Thud!*

A black-clad figure, wielding a blood-red longsword, crashed like a cannonball beside Mo Lian, sending dust swirling upwards.

"Senior Bai Ye!" Jian Changsheng roared, his longsword batting aside the thorny whip. "I've come to help you!"

Bai Ye and Mo Lian were moving too fast. Even if Chen Ling and his two companions wanted to help, it would take time for them to catch up. Fortunately, they arrived just in time.

Seeing this, Bai Ye immediately spoke, "Find a way to deal with that hat!"

"Understood!"

Jian Changsheng gripped the hilt of his sword tightly, activating his 'Thunder Clamp Finger' at full power.

Five roars of thunder intertwined as they streaked across the sky, and the longsword in his hand was hurled out at nearly the speed of sound, its tip aimed directly at the bowler hat on Mo Lian's head.

Mo Lian sneered:

"What kind of random nobody dares to butt in?"

The longsword hurled by Jian Changsheng vanished the instant it was about to touch the hat, as if it had been stolen through the air. The next moment, it reappeared out of thin air in front of Jian Changsheng, hurtling towards him at the same speed.

*Boom!*

To Jian Changsheng's shocked gaze, his body was blasted apart by the sword. Carried by the immense kinetic energy, he was thrown dozens of meters, smashing through more than a dozen walls, before finally being pinned, man and sword, to a large tree.

Jian Changsheng violently spat out a mouthful of blood, his face ashen.
