Chapter 896

I had intended to write another chapter, but after staying up until now, I've only managed a little over a thousand words. I simply can't push myself any further.

Ending up at #11 on the overall ranking last month was the highest peak I've ever reached in my writing career. I'm truly grateful for all your support.

Checking the backend, I updated a total of 263,000 characters last month, averaging 8,500 characters per day. The main reason for not reaching my full potential was falling short in the last few days; otherwise, I believe I could have achieved over 10,000 characters per day.

I honestly didn't expect to get sick while attending an annual meeting in Singapore. In fact, I started feeling dizzy and had a sore throat during my last two days there. After returning home, I looked into it and discovered there had been a significant outbreak in the area recently. Although my antigen test came back negative, my condition was genuinely poor. I had to push through the dizziness to write every day.

Regardless, these were my own choices.

Now, regarding the overdue updates: last month, 40 chapters were due as bonus updates from monthly passes. I managed to complete up to Chapter 24, which means 16 chapters are still pending. As promised last month, these will be doubled this month, amounting to 96,000 characters.

As I previously stated, the base update for this month will be 7,000 characters per update, totaling 210,000 characters.

Additionally, there are three base updates, or 9,000 characters, owed from the past few days.

To summarize, this month's update goal is 315,000 characters. I'll do my best to complete all of it this month; any remaining amount will also be doubled and carried over to next month.

This month's updates will be released in longer chapters, as decided by the previous poll.

I will also indicate the compensatory chapters in their titles, which should make it easier and clearer for everyone when reviewing the updates at the end of the month.

Finally, I'd still like to ask for your monthly passes. Although I won't be pushing for rankings this month, and there are no extra updates based on monthly passes, my updates during the first twenty-something days of last month were quite good. Even when I was sick, I never missed an update, and the word count was the highest I've ever achieved in a single month throughout my writing career. Please consider giving some monthly passes as encouragement.
