The bone dragon had barely finished speaking when its massive body lunged directly towards the snow-capped peak opposite.
The Snow Goddess’s expression was indifferent. Without any apparent movement from her, the entire snow mountain seemed to tremble. Instantly, countless avalanches of snow cascaded down, surging and rushing, then suddenly coalescing into a pair of colossal hands. These hands emerged directly from the vast, rolling avalanches and seized the bone dragon flying in the sky.
The bone dragon roared in fury, its entire body writhing desperately. Immediately, its long tail lashed out like a whip, striking directly at one of the gigantic hands. Each of its bone segments was like a massive, razor-sharp blade. Dozens of these segments combined to form not only a long whip but also a sword tens of meters in length.
Almost instantly upon contact, the ice-formed hand was half-destroyed. Then, the bone segments of the dragon’s tail began to spin rapidly like a power drill, completely obliterating the ice-formed hand. It then struck at the remaining gigantic hand. Although the ice-formed hand tried to grasp its tail, it couldn't withstand the drilling motion. It quickly became riddled with holes, ultimately collapsing and unable to maintain its colossal hand form, dissolving into a flurry of wind and snow.
The Snow Goddess’s expression changed, and she quickly tapped her toe, rushing towards another snow mountain.
"Trying to run?" the bone dragon sneered. With a swing of its body, it swiftly lunged after its opponent. Given their speed difference, it was confident it could catch her within ten breaths.
Just then, the thick snow below suddenly burst open, and a figure, like a meteor, instantly appeared at the bone dragon's head. The long sword in its hand transformed into a white streak of light, striking directly at the dragon's neck with terrifying force.
The bone dragon finally understood everything. The Snow Goddess had deliberately lured it into pursuit, even employing such flashy and impractical moves, all to use the swirling ice and snow to conceal the true assassin's presence! Where did she find such a terrifying helper?
However, there was no time to ponder this now. It exerted all its strength, desperately trying to evade the sword. But the opponent's swordsmanship was too exquisite; no matter how it tried to dodge, the sword consistently targeted its vital points, approaching with an utterly unavoidable speed. It was terrified, wondering how such a high-level sword master could exist in this low-grade world.
The sword finally struck the most vulnerable bone in its neck. A brilliant white light flashed, and the bone dragon's massive body was directly severed and plunged into the valley's wind and snow. The immense force buried it deep, leaving no trace.
Zu An landed nearby. Earlier, when he heard the Snow Goddess describe the bone dragon's abilities, he initially thought it was unstoppable. However, he quickly realized that if its ability truly had no weakness, wouldn't it be invincible? Yet, from the Snow Goddess’s words, it was clear that the shadow person held a significantly higher status among their group.
After much thought, he concluded that while the bone dragon's triple reflection ability was formidable, it likely couldn't be activated at all times. Therefore, he and the Snow Goddess devised a plan: she would provide cover, allowing him to create an opportunity for a one-hit kill, striking the opponent down before it could even activate its ability. The Snow Goddess was initially somewhat skeptical, but Zu An had enough confidence in his sword to absolutely seize that fleeting moment.
Indeed, just as he had predicted, the bone dragon's reflection ability was not constantly active, and his plan succeeded! However, at this moment, he showed no sign of joy.
"How was it?" The Snow Goddess had already flown to his side. Seeing that he hadn't suffered reflective damage, she breathed a sigh of relief.
Zu An shook his head and reached out, catching two fallen scales. It appeared to be a single scale, severed into two pieces by the sword. Intricate patterns were etched onto its surface, which had previously emitted a faint glow. However, with it now broken in two, the glow had vanished.
"You've destroyed the life-saving artifact I worked so hard to obtain! You miserable wretches, I swear I'll flay you alive and tear out your tendons, making you regret ever being born into this world!" A furious roar echoed from the valley. Immediately after, with a thunderous crash, a long figure shot up from within.
Rage value from the Thorned Bone Dragon: 999,999,999...
At this moment, two pools of blue ghostly fire flickered in the bone dragon's deep eye sockets, as it glared malevolently at Zu An and the Snow Goddess.
Zu An frowned, wondering, "Why do all these creatures possess such life-saving items?" He had encountered similar situations several times already; it seemed he would have to account for such possibilities in the future. Fortunately, judging by its reaction, such an artifact must be exceedingly rare, and it likely wouldn't have another.
"Where did you come from? How can such a powerful human exist in this world?" The bone dragon stared at Zu An, clearly agitated. It had been ambushed, yes, but given its strength, it shouldn't have been utterly unable to evade that sword—it was truly absurd.
Suddenly, it remembered something and looked at Zu An with a grave expression: "Are you the one who killed the War Priest?"
Zu An raised an eyebrow. "Oh? So, you demons really do know each other."
At this point, the Thorned Bone Dragon suddenly retreated several hundred feet, then let out a slight breath of relief. "Hmph, I don't intend to end up like that War Priest, dying inexplicably in this low-grade world. Now you won't be able to ambush me like that again."
The Snow Goddess warned, "Be careful, it has activated its reflection skill."
Zu An noticed that faint, arcane patterns were now visible across the Thorned Bone Dragon's bones, subtly forming a protective shield.
"What's the use of whispering there? If you're so capable, come and hit me!" The ghostly fires in the bone dragon's eyes flickered as it spoke with a rather provocative expression.
Zu An sighed. "It's hard not to grant such a provocative request every time I hear it."
No sooner had he spoken than he appeared atop the bone dragon's head, his palm glowing with a black light as he pressed it down. The Thorned Bone Dragon initially intended to dodge, but then, remembering its skill, it simply raised its head, meeting his attack head-on. "Hit me, hit me! The harder you strike, the more damage you'll suffer."
Just then, the palm pressed down onto its head. At that moment, the arcane patterns covering the Thorned Bone Dragon's entire body erupted with light. Its entire form shuddered, and its razor-sharp tail whip lashed directly at the attacker.
Zu An had already flown to a safe distance, his brow furrowed. He had just used the 'Gourmand Devouring Heaven Art,' reasoning that if the opponent reflected damage, he wouldn't inflict physical harm but instead absorb from its essence. He hadn't expected that its strange skill could block even that.
The Thorned Bone Dragon looked at him with some trepidation. "You possess the power of a Taotie? Fortunately, your mastery isn't sufficient, or I truly would have fallen here today."
Zu An's heart stirred. This wasn't the first time he had heard something similar; it seemed the Taotie held considerable renown across the universe. Clearly, it wasn't referring to the small monsters he had encountered in the Yin-Shang Secret Realm; they didn't possess such power.
"Since you know I wield the power of a Taotie, you still dare to oppose me?" Zu An knew that directly asking wouldn't yield answers, so he deliberately spoke in this manner.
The Thorned Bone Dragon hesitated for a moment, muttering to itself, "Could it be that this world has already been targeted by the Taotie?"
"Idiot! This human is clearly trying to trick you. Do you really believe that? Is your brain only the size of a walnut?" A monster with a human body and a scorpion tail suddenly appeared in the distance.
