Zu'an was somewhat shocked to hear this. One must consider the immense size of the universe, not to mention the existence of numerous other universes, yet this Cosmic Chamber of Commerce had branches in most places, which indicated its incredible power.
"Then, doesn't your designation, Number 9527, signify a respected position within the Chamber of Commerce?"
Originally, 9527 seemed like a substantial number. However, considering the countless planets and worlds across the myriad realms, it was a minuscule figure in comparison. The fact that the person held this designation clearly indicated that their status within the Chamber of Commerce was by no means low.
A hint of pride flashed across the person's face. "You flatter me, esteemed guest."
Zu'an struck while the iron was hot, asking, "May I ask which True God protects the Cosmic Chamber of Commerce?" Given the sheer scale of their business, he found it hard to believe that no True God's power was involved.
Number 9527 smiled slightly. "It's no secret across the myriad realms: our Chamber of Commerce reveres the God of Order. We advocate for fair trade within established rules, which is why all worlds are willing to do business with us."
Zu'an's heart stirred. He had just learned of another True God: the God of Order... He did not press for the God of Order's true name, as it was believed to easily attract misfortune.
"Please be seated, esteemed guest. We are about to depart." As Number 9527 spoke, he took out a formation disk and began operating it.
Zu'an observed closely, attempting to understand its operating principles with his current mastery of formation arrays. After a short while, he realized that the disk not only contained arrays but also seemed to incorporate knowledge from the technological side. Although Earth before his transmigration could be considered a technologically advanced civilization, he himself was not a scientist. His high school and university knowledge of mathematics and physics was insufficient for him to comprehend these principles.
Soon, the entire vessel began to set sail. Zu'an couldn't help but look back at the planet where the cultivation world was located, wondering when, or even if, he would be able to return.
Initially, the ship moved slowly, but before long, a light curtain formed around it, and the entire vessel accelerated to an indescribably high speed. The previously dark universe seemed to become vibrant with flowing light and color, as the ship appeared to tear through layers of space, traversing through them.
Zu'an had never imagined that this ancient-looking sailing ship, which didn't appear particularly sturdy, could achieve such incredible speed. What's more, while inside, he felt no discernible shaking or turbulence. He also noticed that the ship wasn't simply flying; it was passing through a series of "barriers." Even the top powerhouses in the cultivation world could traverse the cosmos for short periods, but their normal flight, no matter how long, would only reveal a vast universe filled with lifeless planets. They would never witness a scene like this.
As if sensing his confusion, Number 9527 smiled faintly. "This is 'space warp technology,' which allows us to quickly cross vast distances and also traverse certain ordinary world barriers."
Zu'an couldn't help but sigh with emotion, thinking how many years this technology could have advanced scientific progress if it had existed in his previous life.
Soon, Number 9527 put away the formation disk, and the spaceship automatically flew towards the set coordinates.
"How much longer until we reach that temporary world you mentioned?" Zu'an asked.
"According to your world's timekeeping, it should be about one hour," Number 9527 replied courteously.
"It's that far?" This somewhat surprised Zu'an. Even at such incredible speed, it would take so long, which suggested just how distant that temporary world was from the cultivation world.
"Only by maintaining such a distance can we ensure the safety of each guest's home world," Number 9527 said after checking that the flying vessel was operating normally. "Since there's still some time before we reach the temporary world, we can engage in a transaction."
Zu'an's heart stirred. "What kind of transaction?"
Instead of answering, Number 9527 asked, "In your opinion, what is the most important thing when exploring across the myriad realms of the universe?"
"Information," Zu'an replied without hesitation.
"Precisely," a hint of approval flashed in Number 9527's eyes. "Many would answer 'strength,' but no matter how powerful you are, there will always be someone stronger in the myriad realms, or someone with an ability that specifically counters yours. Therefore, gathering information beforehand is paramount, as it can help avoid many dangers."
Zu'an nodded. "It seems you intend to do business with me regarding information. Does that mean your Cosmic Chamber of Commerce knows everything I might want to know?"
Number 9527 shook his head slightly. "The myriad realms are vast beyond measure. While our Chamber of Commerce is formidable, we do not possess all information. However..." He changed his tone, a touch of pride evident on his face. "However, for most people, we can generally answer their questions."
Zu'an felt a touch of admiration. For the Cosmic Chamber of Commerce to make such a statement spoke volumes.
"What currency do you typically use for transactions?"
Number 9527 chuckled. "There are far too many worlds in the myriad realms, and each has its own currency. Unfortunately, something valuable in one place might be utterly commonplace in another. For instance, in one world, diamonds are precious gems, but in another, it literally rains diamonds, making them worthless."
"Therefore, to standardize measurements, our Cosmic Chamber of Commerce created 'Credit Points.' All transactions with us, from any world, are settled in Credit Points. We then transport their goods to another world where they are needed, selling them and earning our rightful profit."
"That's quite fair." Zu'an was not surprised; the concept of credit points was common in various sci-fi novels and games from his previous life.
"Naturally, it's fair. The Cosmic Chamber of Commerce has always dealt honestly with everyone."
"So, what can be exchanged for Credit Points? And how many Credit Points does a piece of information cost?"
"Various mineral veins, divine weapons, precious armor, cultivation techniques, and so on can all be exchanged for Credit Points. However, your world doesn't seem particularly powerful, so the Credit Points you could earn might barely cover the price of a single piece of information. After all, in this world, secrets and information are the most valuable commodities." Number 9527 paused. "Of course, if you're willing to mortgage the authority of your world, it could fetch a good price."
Zu'an's expression remained calm. "You just said the Cosmic Chamber of Commerce deals honestly with everyone. Do you truly believe I'm unaware of the value of a Singularity World?" His cultivation world held all his family and friends; even if it weren't a Singularity World, he would never sell it to anyone.
"That was merely a standard commercial negotiation tactic and did not violate the Chamber's principles," Number 9527 said, realizing his explanation was somewhat weak. "Indeed, I was presumptuous in this matter. Given that this is our first meeting, according to the Cosmic Chamber of Commerce's rules, we can answer two of your information requests for free. Here, I'll personally take the liberty of adding one more free piece of information. I hope that in the future, you can become a friend of the Cosmic Chamber of Commerce."
Without exception, those who possessed a Singularity World among the myriad realms were super powerhouses. Although this person seemed somewhat weak now, his potential was absolutely limitless. Forging a friendship while he was still weak was a very wise move. He had initially thought the other party didn't understand the true value, so he tried to see if he could trick him into parting with the Singularity World. Clearly, this had caused displeasure. If the other party was a vengeful individual, it might lead to trouble in the future. Offering an additional piece of information to smooth things over was a very worthwhile deal.
Zu'an's expression relaxed somewhat. "Thank you, Cosmic Chamber of Commerce, and thank you, esteemed sir."
After a moment of thought, he asked his first question: "Among the myriad realms, exactly which True Gods exist?"
