"Who exactly are you?"
"I don't know, really, I don't know anything. Please, let me go."
A man knelt on the ground, his body trembling, his face contorted in fear. Standing before him was a figure in black, shrouded entirely in darkness, only a pair of cold eyes visible.
"Tell me, who ordered you?" the man in black's voice was low and hoarse.
"No one ordered me, I did it myself!" the man roared.
The man in black scoffed, and a cold glint flashed from the longsword in his hand.
"Ah!" the man screamed, and an arm flew off.
Blood gushed out, staining the ground red. The man collapsed to the ground, clutching his severed arm, wailing in agony.
"Last chance. Tell me, or you'll suffer worse than death." There was a hint of cruelty in the man in black's voice.
The man convulsed, and large beads of sweat rolled down his forehead. He gritted his teeth tightly, his eyes filled with resentment.
"I won't say anything, don't even think about it!"
A cold light flashed in the man in black's eyes, and the longsword in his hand swung again. This time, the sword's glint aimed directly at the man's heart.
"No!"
The sound of the sword piercing flesh echoed. The man's body stiffened, and blood welled up in his mouth. He stared wide-eyed, fixed on the man in black, the life fading from his eyes.
The man in black expressionlessly pulled out his longsword, then turned and left. Only a corpse was left at the scene, along with the pervasive scent of blood in the air.
The night was deep. The wind blew, carrying away the last trace of what had happened.
