Chapter 1704: Instigation and Division

“I just remembered something. Go tell Boxin!”

Imitating the other party’s voice and demeanor, Zhang Xuan looked over.

“Whatever the Grand Commander commands!” The black-armored man quickly bowed.

“Come closer, this matter cannot be known to others…” Zhang Xuan lifted an eyelid.

“Yes…”

Full of doubt as to why the other party wasn’t using a sound transmission, the black-armored man thought for a moment, then approached, lowering his head and not daring to look up. This was their main camp; he couldn't even dream that the person before him was an imposter.

“It’s like this…”

Zhang Xuan had only uttered three words in a low voice when a cold gleam flashed before his eyes. The black-armored man had just sensed danger when he felt his spirit detach from his body, and his head fell to the ground. With a planned attack against an unsuspecting opponent, coupled with the Demonic Saber, this fellow, even though he had reached the Undying realm, was instantly killed on the spot. Of course, this was also because the opponent was only at the early stage of the Undying realm; had he been stronger, it wouldn’t have been so easy.

Zhang Xuan collected the body into his storage ring, erased all traces, and transformed into the black-armored man’s likeness. While fighting just now, he had sealed off the surrounding space, making it difficult for anyone to detect.

Disguised as the black-armored man, Zhang Xuan strode towards the wide tent ahead. As he reached the entrance, two soldiers raised their spears, blocking his way.

“How dare you! I come on behalf of our Grand Commander; hurry and report!” Zhang Xuan said with authority, his hands clasped behind his back.

One guard hesitated, then turned and entered the tent. A moment later, he beckoned with his hand, “Please!”

Zhang Xuan snorted and followed him inside.

This tent was similar to the previous one, with over a dozen Undying realm experts seated inside. The Alien in the center, whose aura was no less powerful than the Grand Commander’s, was likely the Boxin mentioned by the other party.

“Has Wushu agreed to my terms?” Boxin asked, lifting an eyelid when he saw him re-enter.

“The Grand Commander has agreed. However, he wishes to discuss some details with you in person!” Zhang Xuan nodded.

“Only the wise recognize the signs of the times. It seems Wushu isn’t as stubborn as the legends say!” Hearing the agreement, Boxin seemed surprised, then burst into laughter. “Where will we negotiate?”

“This concerns an alliance between our two factions, so caution is required. It will be in the mountain hollow between the two large tents. If you have no objections, please proceed there in half an hour; my Grand Commander will be waiting,” Zhang Xuan said.

He had noticed a small mountain hollow between the two tents when he arrived earlier.

“Good!” Boxin nodded.

“I’ll take my leave!”

Zhang Xuan withdrew. As soon as he left, the black-armored men in the tent stood up and quickly clasped their fists.

“Grand Commander, Wushu has always been cunning. I fear there’s a trick to his sudden agreement!”

“Indeed, sir. He’s inviting you out; there might be an ambush!” another person added.

“Trying to ambush me won’t be easy! Besides, with you all so close, he surely wouldn’t dare to jeopardize the promising situation of our new alliance!” Boxin scoffed, a long spear appearing in his palm, spinning to tear through the surrounding space. “However, it’s always wise to be cautious. In a while, spread out around the area, and if you detect any problems, rush over immediately!”

“Yes!” Everyone nodded simultaneously.

Leaving the other party’s tent, Zhang Xuan walked back, soon returning to the earlier large tent.

“Reporting to the Grand Commander, I told him about your challenge to Boxin, and he… he…” Zhang Xuan’s face showed embarrassment, as if he found it difficult to speak.

“Speak freely!” the Grand Commander said.

“Yes… he said that your strength is unworthy of fighting him, and if you truly dared to go, he would beat you… until you knelt and begged for mercy!” Zhang Xuan’s lips trembled.

“Kneel and beg for mercy? What arrogance! Then let me see what kind of strength he possesses to make me beg!”

*Whoosh!*

Grand Commander Wumu stood up, a hurricane seemingly swirling around his body. His eyes gleamed with furious flames.

“He challenged the Grand Commander to a duel in the mountain hollow between the two large tents in half an hour…” Zhang Xuan continued.

“Good, I will grant his wish!” Wumu’s long blade quivered, emitting a mournful sound.

“Grand Commander, Boxin dares to speak so wildly and without restraint; I fear there’s a trick!” A black-armored man stood up.

“Yes, sir, you must be careful!” another person also stood up.

“Hmm, I’ve challenged this fellow before, and he always avoided battle. For him to be so bold this time, it’s probably not that simple. Hemou, Guili, you two go check that mountain hollow and monitor it strictly. If there’s any movement, report back immediately!” Wumu waved his hand.

“Yes!” “Yes!” The two Aliens stepped out and hurried away.

“I’m familiar with that mountain hollow. I’ll accompany them!” Zhang Xuan quickly clasped his fists.

“Go!” Wumu waved.

Zhang Xuan turned and walked out, hurriedly catching up.

“You two, wait for me. I’m familiar with that mountain hollow; I’ll lead the way…”

The two black-armored men nodded, and the three of them, concealing their auras, quietly advanced. Soon, they arrived at the hollow.

“It’s best for you two to disperse and hide. That way, if they make a move, you’ll be prepared…” Zhang Xuan instructed.

The two found his words reasonable. Just as they turned to look for suitable hiding spots, their bodies simultaneously swayed and fell to the ground. One was impaled through the heart by the Dragon Bone Divine Spear, and the other had his head severed by the Demonic Saber.

After killing the two, Zhang Xuan collected their bodies, his body shifted, transforming into Boxin’s likeness, and he flew straight towards the earlier tent. Before he even reached it, laughter rang out.

“Wumu, if you don’t dare to fight, just say so. Sending people to sneak attack me—this is what happens to them…”

*Whoosh!*

As the words ended, he gestured with his hand, and three bodies flew directly towards the tent, while he himself turned and walked away. Wumu and the others rushed out of the tent, seeing the three bodies lying on the ground—it was Hemou, Guili, and the black-armored man who had gone with them. They were so enraged they nearly exploded on the spot.

They had just formed an alliance, and this fellow was actually slaughtering his subordinates so brazenly. It was simply too much!

“Boxin, if I don’t kill you, I’m not Wumu!” Wumu roared, unable to restrain himself any longer, and charged straight towards the other party’s tent. The many black-armored men behind him, seeing their comrades killed, were also filled with burning rage and could no longer hold back, following closely.

In the opposing tent, they were still speculating about Wumu’s true purpose in arranging the meeting when they felt a massive aura descend. Immediately afterward, brilliant saber qi swept through the air, splitting the tent in half.

*Whoosh whoosh whoosh!*

Flying up, Boxin saw Wumu standing in the air with his blade. Boxin’s eyebrows twitched. “Wumu, what are you doing? Have you gone mad?”

Hadn’t he agreed to his terms? Why was he suddenly charging over with a murderous expression?

“Don’t play innocent with me. If you’ve got the guts, let me see what kind of strength you truly possess…” Too lazy to say more, Wumu flicked his long blade and struck straight at him.
