Chapter 1485: Scroll Attracts Immortals

Although the Primordial Immortal Realm can be said to have been personally crafted by Li Fan, he differs significantly from a true "Creator God."

The key reason the Primordial Immortal Realm manifested was its connection to the power of the Infinite Sea. Li Fan was able to achieve this solely through the divine blessing bestowed by Huanzhen.

If this continent truly has a Creator God, then it can only be Huanzhen.

Li Fan was merely the one favored by divinity, acting on its behalf.

Quickly adjusting his mindset, Li Fan pondered what could be accomplished with the Primordial Immortal Realm.

"Originally, I just intended to construct a mere facade, something for show. I never imagined that with Huanzhen’s assistance, an entire Immortal Domain would genuinely be created. It's not just enough to bluff those True Immortals from the Shuoxing Sea; it's even..."

Li Fan's thoughts instantly focused on the Thirteen Heavenly Marks and the Five Worldly Consciousnesses.

As colossal consciousnesses born alongside the Primordial Immortal Realm, despite appearing to be trained by Li Fan like domestic dogs, this was merely because Li Fan held the crucial leash: the power to sever their connection to the Infinite Sea at any moment.

Towards others, however, they were far from so accommodating.

Brutality, capriciousness, and contempt were the fundamental characteristics of these primordial beings.

"Theoretically, the actual combat power of each of them should be no weaker than an Unnamed True Immortal. However, since they operate entirely on instinct, it’s hard to say how much of that power they can truly unleash.”

“But their sheer number is undeniable. They are more than enough to deal with the True Immortals from the Shuoxing Sea.”

Li Fan gazed into the distance once more, waiting for the bait to be taken.

Fifteen years ago, after Wuxian witnessed the strength Li Fan inadvertently displayed and learned of his desire to re-establish the Immortal Court, the Shuoxing Sea had shown the necessary respect due to a powerful individual.

They no longer questioned Li Fan's absorption of the complete Great Dao of the Shuoxing Sea. They even intentionally relaxed the constraints of the Dao Net around the starry sky surrounding the high wall, allowing Li Fan's absorption of the Great Dao to proceed more smoothly.

Li Fan didn't truly intend to completely drain the Shuoxing Sea's Great Dao, causing the premature arrival of Dao Annihilation. He merely sought to replenish the withered Dao Principles within the Deep Darkness Star Sea.

After the Primordial Immortal Realm was created, although it was a newly born continent, its proximity to the Infinite Sea meant that its naturally evolving Great Dao laws even surpassed those of the surrounding Deep Darkness Star Sea.

Therefore, Li Fan no longer needed to draw from the Shuoxing Sea.

By the tenth year, he had sealed off the path and completely ceased drawing from the Shuoxing Sea's Great Dao. Naturally, Li Fan wasn't so benevolent as to let the Primordial Immortal Realm benefit the Shuoxing Sea.

With the high wall providing separation, the outside world could not perceive the birth of this Immortal Domain continent.

However, Li Fan's active restraint was, in itself, a signal of the "Immortal Court's re-establishment."

In the subsequent five years, Wuxian visited several times. Although the Immortal Court was not explicitly mentioned in their conversations, he did submit a list provided by the Shuoxing Sea.

“An Unnamed True Immortal leading, accompanied by six True Immortals.”

“This formation is by no means small.”

“Those arriving are all from True Immortal factions. Yet, not a single one from the Immortal Hunt group is here. It must be that the instantaneous suppression of that person named Wei scared them off,” Li Fan chuckled softly.

The list did not specify the Dao path comprehended by the leading Unnamed True Immortal.

“Benevolent Transformation, Reversal, Chaos…”

“I wonder if it will be one of these three.”

Li Fan withdrew his gaze, looking at the Primordial Immortal Realm beneath him, and slightly curled his fingers.

The fleeting glimpses of light and shadow within this primordial heaven and earth were instantly captured and gathered into Li Fan’s palm.

They formed a lifelike, flowing scroll.

The scroll gradually materialized from illusory to real.

“Thirteen,” Li Fan called out softly.

Amidst overflowing light, a silver figure appeared before Li Fan.

The figure's outline was in constant flux, lacking a solid form. Yet, it was vaguely discernible that it bore some resemblance to Li Fan. Clearly, this Heavenly Mark intentionally emulated him.

“Make a trip. Deliver this painting to our neighbors.”

“When the scroll unfolds, that will be the day the Immortal Court is formally re-established.”

Thirteen bowed in acknowledgment.

Then, like a bolt of lightning, it flickered and instantly vanished from the Primordial Immortal Realm.

Upon its first departure from the Primordial Immortal Realm, Thirteen was initially somewhat excited. However, when it personally witnessed the desolate starry sky beyond the high wall, its curiosity slowly transformed into disappointment and disdain.

If the Primordial Immortal Realm, permeated with boundless immortal power, was a magnificent palace, then the Shuoxing Sea before it couldn't even compare to a humble thatched hut. At best, it was a haphazardly built nest, fit only for wild beasts.

Unwilling to linger for even a moment, it merely wished to complete its mission and return swiftly. Thirteen charged headlong, flying towards the location indicated by Li Fan.

There were no obstacles until it suddenly felt as if it had fallen into a massive net.

It was as if, at that very moment, billions of threads clung to every inch of its body. Thirteen felt an immense resistance emanating from its surroundings.

“Who goes there?!”

Perhaps having already detected that Thirteen was coming from Li Fan's location, the Shuoxing Sea did not immediately resort to action against this abrupt intruder. Instead, they first inquired with great caution.

“By the command of the Great Master, I deliver the scroll of the Primordial Immortal Realm.”

“When this scroll unfolds, it will be the day the Immortal Court is re-established.”

“Those on the list may come to behold it.”

The defiant Thirteen raised the scroll bestowed by Li Fan above its head. Feeling displeased by the surrounding resistance, it deliberately spoke in a booming voice.

It was as if a monstrous wave, or a fierce gale, had suddenly surged within the Dao Net.

Thousands of Dao strings instantly vibrated unstably. The indestructible Dao Net, for a moment, swayed ceaselessly like duckweed in the wind.

Hearing the exclamations from various parts of the star sea, Thirteen swelled with triumph.

However, the next moment, the tempest abruptly ceased. Just as it began, it settled with surprising suddenness.

It was as if some entity had instantly suppressed the turmoil within the Dao Net.

“Hmm?”

At that moment, Thirteen sensed several auras similar to those of its most powerful elder brothers, causing it to instinctively rein itself in.

Moreover, beyond the Dao Net, a gaze seemed to fall upon it.

The feeling was identical to when the Great Master observed it.

“No wonder the Great Master invited these individuals to observe the ceremony,” Thirteen realized with sudden clarity, no longer acting presumptuously.

It simply cupped its hands in salute, bid farewell, and once again transformed into a silver bolt of lightning, departing.

In the vast Shuoxing Sea, no one could step forward to obstruct it. It was allowed to come howling and return howling.

In the midst of silence.

Everyone's gaze converged on the scroll left by Thirteen.

Even though the scroll had not yet unfolded, everyone could still sense the extraordinary aura emanating from it.

Especially the True Immortals present in the Shuoxing Sea.

It was as if, in a faint glimmer, they saw the Immortal Realm that had once been destroyed.

The Dao Net shimmered, recovering from its disarray, obscuring the gazes of outsiders from the resplendent scroll.

Within the obscured circular field of vision, figures appeared one after another beside the scroll.

They watched in silence, lost in thought, without uttering a word.

A pair of large, translucent blue hands descended from the sky, resting upon the scroll.

They exerted slight force, attempting to forcibly unfurl the scroll.

The translucent blue hands blazed with surging blue light, yet the scroll remained completely motionless.

“This painting… carries the weight of vast oceans and countless mountains.”

“It seems the Hidden Emperor’s claim of re-establishing the Immortal Court was no idle boast.” A ripple emanated from the blue hands, its emotions indiscernible.

Another figure stepped forward to try. The result was the same.

“This sensation is almost identical to when the former Immortal Emperor opened a nascent Immortal Domain within Shangfang Mountain.”

“It is indeed the method of a reigning Immortal Emperor.”

“Could it be that a former Immortal Emperor has truly descended?” The figure retreated, its tone filled with uncertainty and surprise.

No one could answer his query.

“In that case, let us go in person and investigate thoroughly.”

“This Hidden Emperor’s strength is unfathomable, and his intentions are unclear. I shall lead the team.”

“Even if he has some sinister designs, I can at least bring everyone back safely. After enduring several calamities, we truly cannot afford any more losses.” Another voice came from the void.

The True Immortals standing beside the scroll did not refute his words.

Even with prior knowledge of Li Fan’s methods, the True Immortals still tacitly acknowledged that the owner of this voice possessed the ability to come and go freely. The extent of their belief in his strength was evident.

“Although Hidden Emperors are rarely good news, under the current circumstances, it’s best not to antagonize him. If he truly still possesses the means of a reigning Immortal Emperor to open Immortal Domains, then cooperation might not be out of the question.” After a silence, the only True Immortal among them who revealed his true face spoke.

This person was clad in a white robe, with a small, entirely black cat perched on his shoulder.

It created a stark color contrast.

The small cat appeared to be asleep, but its ears occasionally twitched, seemingly listening for something.

This white-robed True Immortal seemed to hold considerable authority among the Immortals. When he spoke, the others merely nodded in agreement.

“Just wait.”

“It won’t be long now, likely just a few days.”

The Immortals reached a consensus and simply waited by the scroll.

To them, hundreds of years were but an instant. Waiting a few days was merely equivalent to taking a brief nap.

Li Fan did not make them wait long.

On the ninth day after the scroll arrived at the Shuoxing Sea, a powerful ripple surged from it.

Gusts of fierce wind blew without cause.

It seemed to be slowly unfurling the scroll.

Amidst the sharp winds, the True Immortals seemed to struggle to stand firm, retreating one after another.

Only the ethereal point, the figure with the black cat on its shoulder, and the pair of blue hands remained unmoving.

However, they stared intently at the unfolding scroll, their demeanors growing unprecedentedly serious.

“The aura of the Infinite Sea.”

“And it’s fresh.”

“How many years has it been? We finally meet again.”

The tone was inexplicable, holding both caution and wistfulness.

The more of the Primordial Immortal Realm’s scroll that was revealed, the stronger the winds emanating from it became.

This was not an ordinary wind.

Instead, it was Li Fan's condescending pressure on the mortal world, leveraging the boundless power of the Illusory Reality.

Only powerful individuals like Elder Shouqiu, capable of standing unmoving atop mountains and by the sea, could withstand it.

Li Fan had tested it himself: without being in the Illusory Reality state, even with the power of several Shouqiu phantoms, he couldn't endure it. He lasted only a few breaths before succumbing.

Among the three figures, none seemed to possess strength close to Elder Shouqiu’s.

When nine-tenths of the scroll was unfurled and the pressure reached its peak, all of them retreated to varying degrees.

Based on the extent of their retreat, their respective strengths were revealed.

The weakest among them was the ethereal point.

Even though it could neutralize all external influences, this immunity seemed to fail against the pressure from beyond the mortal realm. It could only retreat inch by inch.

The one that performed slightly better was the large, translucent blue hand. Its palm became increasingly transparent, seemingly merging completely with the surrounding environment. However, it seemed not to be using the surroundings to resist the majesty of the Infinite Sea, but rather aiding the Shuoxing Sea's Dao Net to survive this pressure.

Having diverted some of its power, it was forced to retreat further.

The strongest of the three was the white-robed figure.

Amidst the fierce winds from the Infinite Sea, the black cat on his shoulder had already awakened.

Its two eerie green eyes, like jewels, stared intently at the scroll ahead. It flicked its tongue, and its tail swayed gently but ceaselessly.

The cat and human, fused as one, were barely forced to move by the fierce winds.

When the scroll was fully unfurled, a miniature view of the Primordial Immortal Realm instantly appeared before everyone.

The vibrant, boundless scene of vitality caused those accustomed to the desolate star sea to momentarily lose themselves in a daze.

“If this Hidden Emperor can reproduce such a divine ability,”

“and combined with our methods, perhaps there is hope for resurrection from the dead.”

The speaker was not one of the three True Immortals.

It was the black cat on the white-robed figure’s shoulder.

However, it seemed not to be the black cat’s own words, as its green eyes suddenly dimmed while it spoke.

After uttering that sentence, when the green light flashed brightly again, the black cat appeared somewhat bewildered, unaware of what had just transpired.

It was as if some entity had temporarily borrowed its body.

“Since the scroll has unfolded, I shall go first and probe his true nature.”

The others slowly nodded, their gazes still fixed on the scroll.

Within the Primordial Immortal Realm.

While the True Immortals of the Shuoxing Sea observed the scroll, Li Fan, in turn, observed them through the scroll.

He was hidden within the Infinite Sea through the divine ability of Illusory Reality, and thus remained undetected.

Other than that, things were fine; the strength of the True Immortals who appeared in the Shuoxing Sea did not exceed Li Fan's estimation.

Until the white-robed figure with the black cat appeared.

The moment Li Fan saw the black cat, his heart skipped a beat.

Before his eyes, the scene of the Cat Treasure instantly devouring Jixian seemed to reappear.

However, after an instant of instinctive alarm, Li Fan realized that this black cat was not the Cat Treasure he had seen before.

Li Fan had once carved various wooden statues of the Cat Treasure, thus knowing its form intimately.

Therefore, after a brief moment of stupefaction, he still discerned the clear differences between the two.

He subtly sighed in relief.

“If it truly were the Cat Treasure perched on his shoulder, I might have had to alter my plans. Thankfully, it's not.”

Using Jixian as a reference, Li Fan now had a rough estimate of the power the Cat Treasure had displayed back then.

It was no weaker than the strongest among the Unnamed True Immortals.

However, it couldn't compare to a single phantom of Elder Shouqiu.

Now, Li Fan could be said to be composed and unafraid even if he were to truly encounter the Cat Treasure.

The key concern, however, was the unknown power behind the Cat Treasure.
