Chapter 4658: Dragon Xiang (No More Today)

Thirty thousand years passed in the blink of an eye.

At Qinglian Peak in Qinglian City, Wang Changsheng, Wang Qingfeng, Wang Yingjie, Wang Qingling, Wang Qingxiao, Ye Haitang, Nangong Changlong, and Nangong Yunxin were gathered in a cyan stone pavilion, deep in conversation. The Nangong Immortal Clan had also been invited to the celebration in Ancestral Dragon City, and they planned to travel together. Wang Changsheng had left the Ruyi Gate in Qinglian City. This way, if chaos beasts attacked the city, Wang Ruyan could use it to travel near Ancestral Dragon City, allowing Wang Changsheng and the others to return as quickly as possible.

"It's almost time; let's depart!" Nangong Changlong suggested.

Wang Changsheng nodded. The group proceeded to a vast bluestone square where thousands of immortals, members of both the Wang and Nangong families, had gathered. With a flick of his sleeve, a beam of cyan light shot out, transforming into a colossal cyan lotus flower. Its spiritual light pulsed brightly. This lotus, a terrestrial-grade immortal vessel, possessed nine lotus pods, each containing its own spacious interior. Wang Changsheng and the other Grand Luo Golden Immortals entered one of the lotus pods, followed by thousands of immortals who settled into the remaining pods. The cyan lotus flower burst forth with dazzling light, transforming into a streak of azure rainbow that pierced through the sky, vanishing from sight in a mere flash.

In Ancestral Dragon City, a sprawling estate.

The Ancestral Dragon sat within a cyan stone pavilion, as a graceful woman in a red dress reported to him.

"Lord Ancestral Dragon, we've increased our personnel tenfold, yet we still haven't located the treasure. Could it have already fallen into the hands of the chaos beasts?" the woman in red speculated.

This was Long Ying, a mid-stage Grand Luo Golden Immortal, responsible for intelligence. The treasure had last appeared over four million years ago. Given the passage of so much time, it was possible that the chaos beasts had already found it.

"Not necessarily," the Ancestral Dragon frowned, "It's regrettable that we don't know its specific function or name, which makes the search incredibly difficult."

"When the three Dao artifacts appeared previously, didn't their artifact spirits inform the Dao Ancestors about the situation regarding that particular Dao artifact?" Long Ying asked, her voice laced with doubt.

"The artifact spirits of the three Dao artifacts claimed the treasure was a cauldron. They said that while they were entangled in battle with the Ten Directions Mother-Child Pagoda, this cauldron managed to injure one of the child pagodas, demonstrating immense power. However, it was also damaged by the mother pagoda. They weren't entirely certain it was *that* particular cauldron, but we hope it is."

"A cauldron! If that's the only information we have, at least it gives us a direction," Long Ying replied.

"Even the artifact spirits of the three Dao artifacts aren't entirely sure," the Ancestral Dragon instructed. "Send more people and specifically look for cauldron-shaped treasures."

"Yes, Lord Ancestral Dragon." Long Ying assented. Then, as if an idea struck her, she produced a red, flickering magic disk. After casting a spell upon it, she announced, "Dao Ancestor Huanle is approaching, Lord Ancestral Dragon."

"That's a rare visitor indeed. Please, usher him in immediately," the Ancestral Dragon commanded.

Long Ying acknowledged and departed to carry out the order.

Outside Ancestral Dragon City, a constantly flickering cyan lotus flower soared from the distance. With a single shimmer, it halted outside the city gates. Wang Changsheng and thousands of other immortals emerged from the cyan lotus and descended to the ground. After the guards verified their identities, they were allowed to enter Ancestral Dragon City without hindrance. The group dispersed, and Wang Changsheng began to stroll down the street. Ancestral Dragon City was home to many demon races, predominantly members of the True Dragon Clan. A significant number of demon cultivators could also be seen.

"Fellow Daoist Wang, you've advanced to the Grand Luo Golden Immortal realm! Congratulations!"

Wang Changsheng suddenly quickened his pace, approaching the Xuanfu Demonic Lord. The Xuanfu Demonic Lord stood with Mu Wanwan. The Xuanfu Demonic Lord had already reached the Grand Luo Golden Immortal realm, while Mu Wanwan was merely a late-stage Taiyi Golden Immortal. By their reckoning, it had been several million years since they last met.

"Fellow Daoist Wang, long time no see." The Xuanfu Demonic Lord greeted Wang Changsheng upon seeing him. The exploits of the Qinglian Immortal Couple had spread throughout the Chaos Continent. The Xuanfu Demonic Lord naturally knew that Wang Changsheng had been capable of slaying a King Beast, even if he suffered severe injuries in the process.

"Isn't Madam Wang with you, Senior Wang?" Mu Qianqian asked curiously.

"My wife had some matters to attend to, so she couldn't come," Wang Changsheng explained.

The Xuanfu Demonic Lord nodded in understanding. Just then, a tall young man in a blue shirt approached, exuding an overwhelming demonic aura.

"Senior Wang," the young man said respectfully, "Ancestor Longxiang has long heard of your esteemed reputation and would like to invite you for a brief conversation."

"Fellow Daoist Long is a core member of the True Dragon Clan; it's rumored he's being groomed to become a Dao Ancestor," the Xuanfu Demonic Lord sent a telepathic message to Wang Changsheng, his tone tinged with a hint of envy. The Qinglian Immortal Couple's widespread renown meant that even core members of the True Dragon Clan held them in high esteem.

"Fellow Daoist Wang, let's talk later," Wang Changsheng politely told the young man in blue, "Please lead the way."

"Yes, Senior Wang, please follow me." The young man in blue acknowledged and led the way.

After they had walked some distance away, Mu Wanwan remarked, "Senior Wang's cultivation speed is truly remarkable! He's already a mid-stage Grand Luo Golden Immortal."

"The Taiyi Creation Pot, which Dao Ancestor Kunlun acquired, can purify crystal cores," the Xuanfu Demonic Lord analyzed. "It's likely he consumed vast quantities of fourth-grade immortal pills refined with nine-colored crystal cores. Relying solely on arduous cultivation, it would be impossible to reach the mid-stage in just a few million years." It was widely known that the Taiyi Creation Pot was in Dao Ancestor Kunlun's possession. This treasure was indeed formidable, capable of purifying crystal cores with remarkable efficiency and convenience.

Wang Changsheng followed the young man in blue to a sprawling estate, replete with pavilions, waterside structures, and long corridors. After passing through three arched courtyards, they arrived at a secluded, blue-tiled courtyard. There, seated in a cyan stone pavilion, were a burly young man in a golden robe and a full-figured woman in a white dress. Judging by their auras, both possessed late-stage Grand Luo Golden Immortal cultivation.

"I am Wang Changsheng; it's a pleasure to meet both of you, fellow Daoists," Wang Changsheng said, cupping his fists.

"I am Longxiang, and this is my wife, Long Bing. We have long heard of your esteemed reputation, Fellow Daoist Wang, and it's an honor to finally meet you in person today." The golden-robed young man's voice was hearty.

"Indeed! Fellow Daoist Wang and Madam Wang, working together, faced two Grand Luo Golden Immortal stage chaos beasts. Even King Beasts were no match for you," Long Bing said with a smile.

"You flatter us, fellow Daoists," Wang Changsheng replied modestly. "To defeat the King Beast, we both sustained severe injuries and have spent these past years in recovery."

Longxiang waved his hand, and the young man in blue withdrew.

"Please, Fellow Daoist Wang, have a seat," Longxiang invited. "And try our True Dragon Clan's exclusive immortal tea, Heavenly Dragon Tea."

Longxiang motioned for Wang Changsheng to sit, then picked up the teapot and poured a steaming cup of pale golden tea for him.

"Heavenly Dragon Tea!" Wang Changsheng nodded inwardly. He had, of course, heard of Heavenly Dragon Tea. It was an exclusive immortal tea of the True Dragon Clan, known for its body-strengthening properties. Regular consumption was said to assist Grand Luo Golden Immortals in cultivating peak-tier immortal physiques. The True Dragon Clan truly lived up to its reputation as the foremost clan in the Immortal Realm, boasting profound heritage.

Wang Changsheng lifted the teacup and took a sip. The tea was sweet upon entering his mouth, and a refreshing coolness spread through his abdomen. However, shortly after, a stifling heat enveloped his entire body, making him feel as though he had fallen into a volcano.
