"Why only a little over half?" Teng Xiao inquired.

"A small portion of the fragments was swept into space by the aftershocks of the battle, and their whereabouts are unknown," Xin explained. They had only managed to slay Yuanfeng and destroy the Nine Phoenix Ruler after an arduous battle. The devastating aftershocks of their struggle had shattered the void, carrying some of the Dao artifact fragments into the emptiness, where they were now lost.

"Xin, Dan, enter the Mother Tower," Teng Xiao commanded. "I will strengthen your bodies, which should enable you to cultivate Chaos Bodies and enhance your power."

"Lord Teng, you must not. With these fragments, you can recover much faster," Chen advised.

"Indeed! We are already powerful enough. You should keep them for your own recovery!" Xin added.

Strengthening Dao Ancestor-level Chaos Beasts with the Mother Tower consumed vast amounts of vital energy. While Dao artifact fragments or complete Dao artifacts could replenish this energy, and mutated Grandmist Spiritual Treasures or immortal artifacts with spirits could also contribute, their effectiveness paled in comparison to genuine Dao artifact fragments or full Dao artifacts.

"Half a Dao artifact alone won't significantly aid my recovery," Teng Xiao stated. "Only Chen possesses a Chaos Body, and even he cannot withstand the Azure Lotus Immortal Couple alone."
