"Has he condensed a Dao Foundation?" the man asked. "There's a vast difference in strength between having one and not."

"No, he hasn't," Cai Ji said, a fawning expression on his face. "He likely knows other Dao Ancestors from the Chaos Era. If Lord Kun wishes to deal with him, I am willing to lead the way."

"A waste who hasn't condensed a Dao Foundation and has only opened three fundamental laws," the man instructed. "Killing him wouldn't yield much benefit. Keep him alive. We'll play the long game to catch a bigger fish. Pay close attention to Zhou Dian's whereabouts; he's one of the three great protectors of the Ancient Immortal Court. "Yes, Lord Kun," Cai Ji asked curiously, "How does Zhou Dian's strength compare to yours?"

Cai Ji's face filled with shock. Was Zhou Dian's strength truly so terrifying?

"Understood, Lord Kun," Cai Ji acknowledged. He put away the scroll and retreated.

A streak of light flew from the distant horizon. With a flicker, it halted above a massive dune.

The light receded, revealing Qiu Shan.

Qiu Shan gave a bitter smile. "I haven't comprehended a Supreme Law, and I cultivate the Nine Apertures Secret Technique. I'm just a small fry from the Chaos Era. Qiu Shan agreed and departed as a streak of light.
