Chapter 4847: 4832 Million Years

Millions of years passed, as spring gave way to autumn.

Jade Dragon Immortal Island, Jade Dragon Immortal City.

The streets were bustling with people, their clamor filling the air and creating a lively atmosphere.

In the southwestern part of Jade Dragon Immortal City stood a nine-story green pavilion. Its plaque proudly displayed the characters "Azure Lotus Pavilion," and numerous cultivators were seen entering and exiting.

On the ninth floor, Wang Yixin and a burly, gold-robed man sat around a green tea table, leisurely sipping tea and chatting.

“Madam Wang, I’d appreciate it if you could notify me immediately when the goods arrive,” the gold-robed man said, his voice booming.

“Certainly.”

Wang Yixin agreed.

They had been in the Tianyue Immortal Realm for over a million years. The Wang family operated a business within Jade Dragon Immortal City, where talented individuals such as Wang Qingfeng, Liu Hongxue, Bai Yuqi, Ye Haitang, Wang Lingyin, Wang Rumeng, and Wang Yulan produced various cultivation resources for sale. The Wang family's immortal artifacts, Dao artifacts, and immortal puppets were of excellent quality, earning them a strong reputation in Jade Dragon Immortal City. Wang Yixin and other family members each fulfilled their specific roles: Wang Chuanming, Wang Mengshan, and Cui Yao were in charge of gathering intelligence; Wang Yixin oversaw the business operations; while Wang Qingfeng, Wang Qingbai, Ye Haitang, and others specialized in artifact refining, elixir crafting, and array formation.

“Very well, I won't disturb you any further. Farewell.”

The gold-robed man stood up to take his leave.

Wang Yixin rose to bid him farewell, watching the gold-robed man depart.

Wang Moxuan walked up, looking excited.

“What’s the good news?” Wang Yixin casually asked.

“I’ve acquired a Dao material!” Wang Moxuan said excitedly. With a flick of his right hand, a sparkling golden jade stone appeared in his palm.

Dao materials are cultivation resources required by Dao Venerables, used in various arts such as alchemy, artifact refining, talisman crafting, array formation, and wine brewing. Great Dao Origin is also a type of Dao material, fiercely contested by numerous Dao Venerables.

“Excellent, take it to the Patriarch!” Wang Yixin said.

Heavenly Dao artifacts were extremely valuable in the Tianyue Immortal Realm and were not directly sold. As a high-tier resource, some Dao Venerables still utilized Dao artifacts.

Wang Moxuan nodded, turned, and left.

He arrived at a vast estate. Its plaque bore the characters "Azure Lotus Garden," and two Grand Luo Golden Immortals stood guard at the entrance.

“Patriarch Moxuan!” The two Grand Luo Golden Immortals bowed in salute.

“Is the Patriarch in Azure Lotus Garden?” Wang Moxuan asked.

“The Patriarch is currently entertaining several Dao Venerables,” a guard said.

Wang Changsheng and Wang Ruyan had gotten to know several Dao Venerables, expanding their social circle.

Wang Moxuan nodded and walked in.

Inside a hexagonal green stone pavilion, Wang Changsheng, Wang Ruyan, a corpulent gold-robed elder, and a tall, thin grey-robed elder were seated, leisurely sipping tea and conversing.

“Fellow Daoist Wang is capable of refining even complete sets of supreme-grade Dao artifacts. Given enough time, he will certainly be able to forge Heavenly Dao artifacts,” the gold-robed elder remarked courteously.

“That’s right! Fellow Daoist Wang is highly skilled in artifact refining, and Madam Wang is adept at the art of talismans. It's only a matter of time before Madam Wang crafts Dao talismans,” the grey-robed elder echoed.

“You two fellow Daoists flatter us,” Wang Ruyan said. “Surely you didn't come here just for pleasantries. Please, speak your mind freely.”

The gold-robed elder was Li Xin, and the grey-robed elder was Lin Feng. Both were rogue Dao Venerables who had ascended to Dao Venerable status hundreds of millions of years ago, earning considerable renown. However, lacking Heavenly Dao artifacts, they still relied on Dao artifacts and had mastered fewer than ten types of Great Dao power.

“There are no outsiders present; you may speak freely,” Wang Changsheng said.

He had not yet managed to refine a Heavenly Dao artifact, primarily due to a lack of materials. As the saying goes, “even the cleverest cook cannot make a meal without rice.” Forging a single Heavenly Dao artifact required over a hundred Dao materials, with superior ones demanding several hundred. Wang Changsheng had consumed numerous Blood Pearl Fruits; though he hadn't yet cultivated a Saint Body, his physical body was significantly stronger than a Dao Body. To his knowledge, only a handful of Dao Venerables in the Tianyue Immortal Realm had cultivated Saint Bodies; many long-established Dao Venerables still possessed Dao Bodies.

“We’ve discovered the Heavenly Bat Dao Venerable’s cultivation grounds, but the restrictions are too powerful for us to breach with confidence. How about we invite Fellow Daoist Wang and Madam Wang to join us in breaking the restrictions and claiming the treasures within?” Li Xin said.

“The Heavenly Bat Dao Venerable!” Wang Changsheng felt a slight stir of intrigue.

The Heavenly Bat Dao Venerable was a renowned figure in the Tianyue Immortal Realm for many years, active over a billion years ago. He had mastered hundreds of Great Dao, possessed an early Dao Venerable cultivation, and even owned a Heavenly Dao artifact. The Heavenly Bat Dao Venerable had not appeared for over a billion years. Rumors circulated that he had been killed, while others suggested he had journeyed to another immortal realm. Having been in the Tianyue Immortal Realm for so long, Wang Changsheng and Wang Ruyan had encountered many Dao Venerables. They knew that Dao Venerables could be slain, and often engaged in fierce battles among themselves for resources, especially for Great Dao Origin. Two billion years ago, a mass of Destiny Great Dao Origin appeared in the Tianyue Immortal Realm. Seven major powers engaged in a fierce struggle, leading to a chaotic battle involving dozens of Dao Venerables. The resource was ultimately seized by the Grand Elder of the Spiritfire Clan, while the Dao Venerables of the Flying Fish Clan suffered devastating casualties, causing their faction to decline into a minor force.

“Fellow Daoists, don’t you know other Daoists?” Wang Ruyan questioned. “Surely there's no need to partner with us alone?”

“We’ve also invited Fellow Daoist Xu and Madam Sun. Fellow Daoist Xu is stronger; if the restrictions are broken, he will have the first pick of three items,” Li Xin said.

Wang Changsheng pondered for a moment, then shook his head. “Thank you for your kind offer, fellow Daoists,” he said. “However, our strength is limited, so we won't participate in this venture.”

Their acquaintance with the two Daoists was not deep, and they wouldn't rashly trust them. While treasures were indeed tempting, one needed to be alive to enjoy them.

“Fellow Daoist Wang, this is truly the Heavenly Bat Dao Venerable’s cultivation grounds, absolutely genuine. While a Heavenly Dao artifact certainly cannot be offered, Great Dao Origin or Dao materials are negotiable,” Li Xin urged.

“There’s no need. Thank you for your kind offer, Fellow Daoist Li, but my mind is made up.” Wang Changsheng’s attitude was very firm.

He currently commanded only a few dozen Great Dao, with the supreme Dao being the Soul Great Dao, and possessed one Heavenly Dao artifact – already far superior to many Dao Venerables. However, he prioritized stability. Wang Changsheng was in no hurry; he would slowly gather Dao materials. He was confident that refining a Heavenly Dao artifact was only a matter of time for him. Grand Unity Golden Immortals were no longer restricted by lifespan, and the Wang family members were self-sufficient. However, the clan currently had only two Dao Venerables; if anything were to happen to them, the Wang family’s future would become considerably more difficult.

“We appreciate your kind offer, fellow Daoists. Please seek out others. As for what transpired today, we will act as if we know nothing and will not disclose it to anyone else,” Wang Ruyan promised.

“Very well! We shall not disturb you further. Farewell.”

Li Xin did not press the matter. He rose to take his leave, and together with Lin Feng, they departed.

No sooner had they left than Wang Moxuan walked over.

“Patriarch, your grandson has acquired a Dao material!” Wang Moxuan took out a sparkling golden jade stone and handed it to Wang Changsheng.

Wang Changsheng examined it closely, a look of approval on his face. “Excellent,” he said. “How did you acquire this?”

“A Dao Ancestor traded it with me,” Wang Moxuan explained. “He was injured by a powerful enemy and needed immortal elixirs to heal, so he offered numerous items in exchange, and this Dao material was among them.”
