Chapter 1097: Emperor

Urban Reality

“Barbarians from beyond the domain, how dare you seal my people?” Emperor Qi’s furious roar echoed, shaking the entire dazzling starry sky with a thunderclap. A mighty divine sense, like an electromagnetic explosion, surged and vibrated outwards. Everyone’s souls trembled slightly, and they were wide-eyed with astonishment. Even the several top-tier weak Tenth-Stages were momentarily stunned.

“Who is this person?” they wondered. “His entire body also emanates wisps of incense power, and his posture and figure greatly resemble the final witch of Walpurgisnacht, Madoka Kaname!” The powerful beings from all directions froze on the spot. They had just finished dealing with one difficult figure from Walpurgisnacht, and now another one appeared? Was this dark natural disaster, Walpurgisnacht, a series of continuous battles with entities appearing one after another? After all, it was no wonder they thought Emperor Qi might be an incense creature. Emperor Qi was now also using the revised New Nine-Turn Divine Art to cover Moemei’s incense-infused dragon pulse, absorbing energy. Naturally, his entire body was suffused with an extremely rich incense aura. And the previous Moemei had also used the Nine-Turn Divine Art, very similarly, leading them to believe that this was another newly born creature formed from the convergence of evil emotions.

“But if it’s a convergence of evil emotions, why is there no trace of that foul, dark aura?” They looked up, feeling that this was an unprecedented oddity.

“Do you intend to fight me, all of you?” Emperor Qi turned around, his cold gaze sweeping over them indifferently, and took a great stride. He glided through the void, moving towards Moemei’s figure, which was suppressed by blue crystals.

“No! He’s going to unseal that evil witch!” The Lord of the Starfish Domain, his face already pale, let out a fierce growl. He had expended all his strength to seal the opponent; if she were unsealed, he wouldn’t have the stamina to seal her a second time in a short period. Beside them, the powerhouses from the Fallen Civilization and the Abyssal Blue Divine Domain all changed their expressions. Although they were fighting each other, since they had already paid a heavy price to seal it, they would not release that thing. Once released, Walpurgisnacht would engulf everything again, bringing disaster to both sides, which was good for no one. “Stop him first!” Their expressions hardened with determination.

Emperor Qi’s form was ethereal and intangible as he glided through the air. Divine light condensed around him, his gaze devoid of joy or sorrow. Lines of divine law patterns cascaded down, radiant and splendid, as if he were the sole earthly cosmic emperor, above and below.

Boom! Boom! Countless attacks assailed him. Emperor Qi seemed to exist in another dimension, becoming ethereal and insubstantial for a moment, making it impossible for any attack to land. Spells and energy were all absorbed by him. Physical blows, all kinds of punches and kicks, remarkably passed straight through his body, as if he were a mere phantom. He steadily advanced, getting closer and closer to the azure crystal in which Moemei was sealed.

“What is this phenomenon?” In the distance, the patrolling envoys, who had been fighting everywhere, watched the central core of the battle in shock. In an instant, all the weak Tenth-Stage beings launched a full-scale attack. However, in this battle among weak Tenth-Stage entities, even with several ancient beings who had comprehended the Great Dao attacking him collectively, this one being remained completely unharmed! The faces of all the weak Tenth-Stages were filled with disbelief and astonishment. What kind of creature was this, that any attack would strangely be rendered ineffective?

“How is this possible?” Juxiao’s eyes widened in disbelief. “If no attack can affect him, then can he also not attack others?” A weak Tenth-Stage being seemed to have the same thought and immediately charged forward with a swift stride. “If others can’t hit you, then it means you can’t hit others either!”

“Hm?” Emperor Qi slowly swung his fist. Space shattered like foam. A fist smashed violently into the face of this young weak Tenth-Stage. It was as if ten Earths, following their orbital paths, had violently slammed into and crushed the nose bridge of this weak Tenth-Stage. A terrifying, immense force rippled outwards in waves, sweeping through his entire body. Under this earth-shattering punch, the weak Tenth-Stage was instantly pulverized. The physical matter of his body scattered everywhere, transforming into the most fundamental particles in the universe. The energetic matter of his soul turned into countless electromagnetic signal waves and particle waves, rapidly exploding as if in a super magnetic storm. Like a miniature energy-level big bang, it bloomed into a magnificent Great Dao firework.

The weak Tenth-Stage being suddenly revived, his eyes trembling with disbelief. “One punch annihilated one-tenth of my integrated body-soul cellular imprints. Ten more punches… and I will die.” If there had been that evil attribute from before, defiling the Great Dao wound and preventing him from ‘regenerating from a single drop of blood,’ that punch would have meant his complete demise!

Emperor Qi gave him a cold glance and strode forward. “Weaklings from beyond the domain, I have no interest in you. You should be grateful for that. Bloodlines are the foundation of extraordinary power, and yours are too weak, lacking proper synergy. The further you go, the greater the disparity will be. You indigenous, barbaric regions from outside this realm, though geniuses may emerge, without proper bloodlines, there will be no true talent.”

“We are natives?” They stared blankly at the cosmic emperor walking past them, their pupils suddenly widening. “Our ancient, supreme civilization, which has traversed endless galaxies, is merely indigenous?” The surrounding weak Tenth-Stages revealed expressions of fear, shock, and anger. “How could their bloodlines not be properly matched?” “Their bloodlines are all meticulously matched and mutually reinforcing!” “It’s just that many of their bloodlines are power-based, elemental-spell-based, traditional elemental combinations, which are considered rather mediocre, as 98% of the vast life forms in the universe possess these types of bloodlines…” “So what exactly is this dark, evil creature?”

They had no idea what they were fighting. The strongest bloodlines they had ever seen were the ‘Time’ bloodline from the Abyssal Blue Divine Domain, the ‘Incense’ system, and the super-large energy levels of the ‘Iron-based’ system. They believed these three bloodlines were the most powerful, yet they didn’t know that none of these were truly heaven-defying combat-oriented bloodlines.

“What exactly are you?” someone asked in terror, almost forgetting that they were in the center of a battlefield where vast cosmic alliances from both sides were locked in a fierce war. This scene had completely shaken their cosmology, making them question their own Great Dao.

Thump, thump, thump! Emperor Qi strode unimpeded towards Moemei’s ice sculpture. “The Incense bloodline that grants energy immunity and absorption, and the quantum evasion for physical attacks—these two bloodlines alone are enough to render both ‘physical’ and ‘energy’ attacks almost entirely ineffective against me. Even if you somehow manage to pierce through these dual barriers, any scattered attacks that land on my body would be instantly healed by the Nine-Turn Divine Art. The perfect combination of these three elements already makes me an unkillable monster, sufficient to overcome all of you…. Do you understand now? Stop doing meaningless things.”

“This… this!?” The power Emperor Qi displayed, coupled with his disdainful words, brought them to a truly unimaginable state. Any single bloodline he mentioned, in their view, surpassed all other heaven-defying bloodlines. To possess even one would be unimaginable. Yet now, they were all accumulated on a single being? In their eyes, this was a minuscule possibility that could not have appeared in the ancient universe, throughout its billions of years of long history! Such a possibility was incredibly low. How could they possibly have encountered it by chance?! Energy immunity and absorption, physical quantum evasion—these two extremely perfectly matched bloodlines? Unless artificially created, there was no possibility!

“Dual immunity. This second terrifying creature of Walpurgisnacht, appearing from an unknown dimensional space….” All of them stood ready, on high alert. They clearly understood how terrifying it would be if this man, dressed as a cosmic emperor, were to approach and unseal that witch, absorbing her power and gaining that defiling Great Dao wound attribute which prevented them from recovering from injuries. The worst-case scenario was that all the weak Tenth-Stages present, and even the civilizations of both sides, could be utterly annihilated by this being. After all, their attacks would be entirely useless.

“Walpurgisnacht, this disaster, is all because of you people from the Abyssal Blue Divine Domain!” A weak Tenth-Stage from the Fallen Civilization next to him changed expression. “How dare you dabble in such an evil civilization system? The consequences you’ve unleashed are beyond even your capacity to bear!”

“This witch’s disaster is too vast, beyond the imagination of all beings,” said a weak Tenth-Stage, his voice growing utterly grave. They simply didn’t believe in the existence of such a real bloodline creature. They believed this was a creature formed from the dark emotions of various Dao-achievers; a thought-collective life form born from the supreme bloodlines that Dao-achievers feared and longed for, thus possessing such power. These were several imagined heaven-defying, extraordinary bloodlines, impossible to appear in reality.

Further away, Lewis watched, his scalp tingling. “No! That’s not a phantom condensation; that’s a real existence!” “It’s, it’s… that high-dimensional, cosmic central civilization!!!!”

Only he knew a fraction of the truth behind the scenes. He felt as if he was watching a behemoth in the shadows slowly unfold its prelude, revealing its ferocious fangs. Back then, his descendant told him not to provoke them, that the heaven-defying Buddhist civilization was just a small faction within them. And now, indeed, another being from behind the scenes has emerged… He roared inwardly, feeling an immediate urge to quietly retreat from the battlefield and leave.

“Indeed, that descendant hadn’t lied to me. Renimansga had hidden too deeply back then; the depths of his background and the dimensions he had accessed were beyond my imagination! These three are too perfectly matched! How could they be naturally evolved extraordinary bloodlines? They must be the species bloodlines evolved by those ancient beings who accessed the ultimate wonder of the universe, the ‘Garden of Annihilation,’ in ancient times, persisting until today.” He stumbled backward in panic and disarray, gazing at this cosmic emperor with his cold, sharp eyes, possessing the majestic aura of one who surveys all under heaven. Only he knew what terrifying truth lay behind this.
