Chapter 1099: True Monster

Even Di Qi had to concede that the wisdom and foresight of these cosmic Dao Achievers were truly exceptional, especially since they found a potential flaw to defeat him in such a short time.

Standing there, Di Qi observed the group of weak Tenth-Level Dao Achievers. He then calmly declared, "If you wish to contend with me, then come at me, all of you."

Great cosmic beings, enveloped in radiance and swirling Dao patterns, collectively fixed their gazes on Di Qi.

The air grew thick with tension.

On the distant lower-level battlefield, inspectors and other Dao Achievers turned their heads, sensing the solemn atmosphere emanating from this direction.

The malevolent dark power gathered by the Night of the Witch was far more terrifying than they had imagined!

This was an immensely powerful mental force within the cosmos; these monsters, born from humanity's deepest fears, invariably manifested in the forms most dreaded.

I think, therefore I am.

The more one feared something, the more it manifested.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

A venerable ancient entity from the Abyssal Blue Divine Realm tore through the void. "To think such an unexpected presence would emerge before the final moment," it mused. "Shall I intervene?"

"Pampas!"

"It's him; he's actually descended!"

All the Supreme Council members turned, their faces reflecting shock as they gazed upon a short, grotesque, humanoid child who appeared to be seven or eight years old. Yet, no one underestimated him due to his appearance; rather, his very arrival instilled fear.

Everyone knew that Pampas was unique within the Abyssal Blue Supreme Council, existing on a different dimensional or planar bloodline system than the other members. He was a formidable being of the same caliber as the Abyssal Blue race itself.

Pampas, an ancient name that struck fear into the heart of the entire Abyssal Blue Divine Realm.

Three million seven hundred thousand years ago, he was the ancient, supreme ruler of a vast cosmic stellar region. He was the prehistoric overlord who controlled this land before the Abyssal Blue Divine Realm. Akin to an ancient dinosaur, he once reigned supreme over this territory. He had previously slumbered within the ancient stellar ruins of the 'Dark Forest of Mihir,' until he was revived by the three Celestial Venerables of the Abyssal Blue Divine Realm. They halted his impending aging, allowing him to continue living within the Abyssal Blue Divine Realm.

He served as the First Council Member of the Abyssal Blue Supreme Council, an entity so revered that even the three Celestial Venerables addressed him with honorifics. In his once-unbeatable era, he was known as the Punisher of Civilizational Endings, Pampas, the Vortex of Despair.

"I hadn't anticipated that I, the trump card meant to directly influence the course of battle, would be forced to descend so soon," Pampas uttered flatly, materializing from a phantom image.

Though only 1.3 meters tall, the child sat on a golden, carved throne. His fingertips casually spun a colossal planet, comparable in size to Earth, at an astonishing speed.

Whirring—

The planet whirled rapidly on his index finger, like a child's top.

To spin a planet—this terrifying cosmic spectacle—was, in his eyes, as simple as a student spinning a basketball on their fingertip on a school court.

Yet, with his 1.3-meter child-like stature seated on a throne, effortlessly spinning a vast, colossal planet, the sheer disparity in size evoked the image of a bacterium lifting Mount Everest.

"You're disturbing my playtime," Pampas pouted with a childish air of displeasure. "Tell me, how should I go about killing you?"

"Is your brain... not quite functioning?"

Di Qi gestured to his own head, a flicker of pity in his eyes.

Pampas's expression instantly froze.

Di Qi, however, slowly revealed a playful smirk as he looked up. "So, you spin an entire planet on your fingertip and call it playing with a toy? I initially thought this barbaric land was populated only by primitive natives, but I never expected to find a child with such remarkable bloodline and talent. Finally, someone noteworthy has appeared—someone who can endure a good beating."

The ancient beings of the Abyssal Blue Divine Realm surrounding them all underwent a complete change of expression.

Pampas loathed nothing more than being told he had a faulty mind or being called a child.

This ancient being was reportedly the mutated offspring of two powerful Dao Achievers from that era, conceived to perpetuate and enhance their race's bloodline. However, Pampas's mutated bloodline proved overwhelmingly potent. Upon birth, he completely drained his parents' energy, becoming a formidable weak Ninth-Level entity, innately divine. In less than a decade, he directly ascended to the Ninth Level.

However, due to the exceptionally powerful and anomalous nature of his mutated bloodline, it came with severe, fatal defects, leaving Pampas with the intellect of an ordinary child. Day by day, he grew under his parents' care. As Pampas's power surged, even his sleep generated terrifying cosmic anomalies. One day, he awoke to discover that his very breath during slumber had inadvertently killed his parents.

Without his parents' guidance, this naive child became a cruel tyrant during his reign in the ancient cosmic era three million seven hundred thousand years ago—a description that barely scratches the surface. He demanded countless civilizations to entertain him, tell him stories, and find him interesting toys, threatening death to any who refused.

This was the tale of Pampas, the Vortex of Despair, the Punisher of Endings, from three million seven hundred thousand years ago.

"According to statistics from ancient ruin explorations," a Blue Abyss Council Member whispered, "during that era, the total number of higher civilizations decreased by 30% compared to previous periods. He alone obliterated tens of thousands of civilizations; he was an unimaginable cosmic tyrant." The member added, "This entity is so volatile that even the three Celestial Venerables are typically reluctant to employ him, as his nature causes excessive disaster and upheaval during missions."

"This dark emotional entity of the Night of the Witch is about to be utterly annihilated right before our eyes," someone murmured, stating what was undeniably clear.

Di Qi turned, a smile playing on his lips. "The Abyssal Blue Divine Realm has sent its champion. What about your Fallen Civilizations?"

A white aerial pathway tore through the heavens.

With a sharp, piercing shriek, like a blade tearing through steel, an unimaginable Fallen Steel Divine Bird descended. Its radiance rivaled the sun and moon, and jets of air propelled it as it fixed its gaze on Di Qi, declaring:

"If the previous witch was a malevolent, tyrannical, unconscious killing beast, then you, this witch, are the hypothetical enemy born from the collective fear of all Dao Achievers."
