Chapter 1103: You, Come Down and Fight

Author: The Smile of Three Hundred PoundsCategory:Last Updated: 2020/07/02Chapter Word Count: 6780 words

Pampas, the Tyrant of the Ancient Universe, known as the Vortex of Despair, didn't seem particularly difficult to get along with from Caroline's perspective. Perhaps it was because his constant headaches had eased. The principle was simple: a severely ill patient in a hospital ward, suffering from incessant, splitting headaches, would naturally be prone to fits of rage, throwing tantrums, and breaking things.

"He's a pitiable person," Caroline mused silently. "Such a powerful bloodline, yet its side effects are terrifying. It's a miracle he hasn't gone mad." She imagined having a blender in her brain, constantly scraping at her soul—a torture worse than any in history, and he had endured it since birth. Yet, her sympathy did not diminish her resolve to fight Pampas as an adversary.

"I won't kill you," Pampas said, a faint smile on his face as he slowly floated from his throne. "I will keep you by my side. You are the first person in years, besides the Three Heavenly Venerates, who isn't afraid of me."

Nearby, the enlightened beings' expressions changed dramatically. Pampas truly was a madman. He intended to keep this being—a creature born from the dark emotions of all sentient life—by his side? To chat with him, to be a toy?

"I am invincible," Pampas said softly, spinning a planet. "I was born with the ability to destroy a planet. For a weak ninth-rank deity like me, it's incredibly simple; I merely interfere with its orbit and rotation, and the planet self-destructs. For a ninth-rank being, moving a planet is a massive undertaking, and even for a normal weak tenth-rank, spinning or lifting a planet's mass requires significant energy. But for me, the consumption is almost nonexistent; I use finesse—rotation and revolution."

With a whoosh, the entire planet suddenly floated up and circled around him, as naturally as Earth orbits the Sun, without any external interference. His power allowed him to effortlessly carry a planet around like a toy at any time. "Living beings I look upon are compressed into a vortex by my gaze; no one but my parents could speak to me. Centuries later, a nightmare of mine reduced an entire solar system to dust, twisting and scattering like a junkyard. Even my parents were churned to pieces by my breath in that nightmare."

Everyone listened in silence. Such a monster was feared by the entire galaxy and even the ancient cosmic civilizations, all trying every method to kill him. But for Pampas, who commanded the vortex laws of force, any such attempt was laughable. Opponents' spiritual attacks would be drawn in and transformed into energy vortices, and their bodies would be churned into pulp by the vortex's power before they could even get close. Any force approaching him would be spun, spiraled, and completely nullified by the terrifying inertial force of his vortex. Everyone knew Pampas was invincible.

"Holy cow, he's truly invincible!""He's insane!""There are monsters like this in the universe?"Even the players were completely stunned. This was the first bloodline they had encountered with such pure, heaven-defying destructive power. Even the Nine Revolutions Mysterious Art, renowned for its defense, could be torn apart and strangled alive within it. This bloodline seemed just as invincible and nearly unsolvable as the Nine Revolutions Mysterious Art.

Although Yusa's "God" transformation and evolution bloodline seemed capable of restraining this power, evolving into a natural predator for such a vortex bloodline, his energy reserves for these "three strikes" would likely last only a minute. Like his fight with Emperor Qi, he would probably deplete his strength quickly. His frenzied transformation and genetic sequence recombination required enormous physical exertion. Pampas, despite not having a high energy level and being of normal build like Yusa, found the vortex power very energy-efficient. Once a vortex was initially formed, very little energy was needed to maintain its rotational inertia, so his endurance was certainly superior to Yusa's.

The players began to discuss animatedly."It seems that for equally heaven-defying invincible bloodlines, it comes down to whose energy level is higher!""Yes, who has greater endurance!""Right, Yusa's 'God' bloodline is theoretically invincible. Who can withstand it when it can evolve a bloodline specifically against yours? The Nine Revolutions Mysterious Art was just beaten to tears! No opponent!""But isn't this vortex bloodline also invincible? It's also theoretically an invincible bloodline.""The universe is too vast. When invincible meets invincible, doesn't that become a contradiction? So, it then becomes a competition of energy levels: who has better endurance, who has lower power consumption. A 'three-strike' type like Yusa, which consumes energy too intensely, definitely can't compare to a low-consumption bloodline like this vortex one."

After all, they all had the perspective of armchair strategists. In their view, the Nine Revolutions Mysterious Art was truly invincible because its endurance was unparalleled."Hahahaha, the one who lasts the longest is the ultimate winner!""Exactly! The Nine Revolutions Mysterious Art's endurance—once it breaks through to a Great Dao bloodline and integrates a wildly consuming, heaven-defying bloodline like Yusa's or Pampas's—with infinite mana and infinite health, that's true invincibility!"The players were excited, feeling that the future was bright. The Nine Revolutions Mysterious Art was like an engine; installed in an airplane, tank, or high-speed train, it could perfectly unleash their full potential.

"You are indeed very powerful," Caroline said, looking at Pampas. His power was comparable to a Profound Blue Heavenly Venerate, meaning she was fighting one of the highest-level beings. "But no power is invincible. You should know there is a type of law that is not subject to this universe's fundamental forces."

"What?" Pampas asked.

"External force, external laws," Caroline stated, walking forward step by step. Her body seemed isolated in some void. With a light leap, she bypassed Pampas's protective vortex power, showing no signs of being pulled, and landed a fierce punch squarely on his nose. Pampas's head instantly exploded, his eyes flying out like meteors, streaking through the void, filled with disbelief.

Pampas's entire being was suffused with a malevolent cosmic law, which rapidly corroded his body and spread wildly over him. Pampas began murmuring unknown words, his body growing hair, his flesh deforming into strange shapes."Great being, He will return!" Pampas shrieked, collapsing into a grotesque, joyful smile. But in the next second, the law only corroded him for a moment before automatically vanishing. Pampas reformed his body, gasping for breath.

What was that? He had just inexplicably chanted strange words, as if, in a haze, he had glimpsed an unspeakable entity watching him from a dark, evil, mysterious universe, causing him to deform. It was a hazy vision of another universe that filled him with profound terror. The surrounding enlightened beings, witnessing this malevolent aura that didn't belong to the real universe for the second time, felt a sense of dread. What had Pampas been muttering? It was as if he had been defiled, turning into an amorphous mass of flesh.

"This is the first time I've been injured in years!" Pampas's eyes flashed coldly. He swiftly regenerated his head, then raised the rapidly spinning planet in his hand, now shrunken to the size of a basketball, and hurled it forward with explosive force.Caroline was instantly sent flying. The basketball-sized planet struck Caroline's abdomen like a spiraling orb, spinning at high speed and expanding with an unimaginable vortex. It quickly transformed into a giant planet, its rotational force grinding Caroline into pulp like a mill.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!Countless dense streams of light converged into vortices. Matter was compressed into shockwaves a thousand times denser than normal, evaporating every particle. The battle's turbulence affected over half the solar system, turning energy particles into complete chaos. With a rustle, Caroline stood up again. "It's no use. Your energy level can't keep up with mine, and your stamina is too low. The reason is simple: when you can't kill me, you've already lost.""I haven't lost!" Pampas gasped, feeling utterly restrained by his opponent's malevolent power, which defied the laws of this universe and needed not adhere to its rules.

His power was invincible. Yet, his opponent could ignore his power and strike his true body, almost as if specifically countering his abilities. But invincible power required immense stamina to sustain. In his previous battles, he had never used even a tenth of his strength; merely forming a vortex and maintaining its rotation with minimal energy was enough. However, in a true fight to the death, his stamina weakness quickly became apparent. His opponent was simply too shameless; she didn't need to defeat him—if he couldn't kill her, he lost!

"That's just brute force," Pampas cursed.

"It's not just me; even that Magical Girl could defeat you," Caroline said softly, pointing to Emperor Qi, who was sealed in the distance."Impossible!" Pampas retorted coldly. "Unless one possesses power from an external universe like you, it's virtually impossible for anyone to penetrate my defenses and reach the center of the vortex." He had seen the power of this second-generation Magical Girl; even with a perfect bloodline, capable of replicating some abilities, she couldn't defeat him."He wouldn't need to penetrate," Caroline chuckled. "He'd merely need to integrate into your vortex to approach your true body. Your power is indeed formidable, but only within this barren land."

Pampas's expression froze.Ignoring the gasping Pampas, Caroline looked up at the sky. There, at the zenith of the dark void, stood the most powerful cosmic overlords of the nearby star system: the Three Heavenly Venerates and the entity from the Fallen Civilization holding an infant. They gazed down impassively upon the entire final battlefield, their eyes devoid of joy or sorrow, like an eternal azure sky suspended above.

"Come down and fight," Caroline declared, her hands behind her back, her voice imbued with an ineffable dominance as she looked up and smiled. "No one can stay at the top forever."
