Chapter 1138: This Primordial Pictured Scene of Creation

The star-filled cosmos rolled back, and the universe dimmed into oblivion. Everything, vast and mighty like a cosmic torrent, flowed backward in reverse.

This nascent, crude universe, having just undergone a Big Bang without yet fully expanding, rapidly reversed its flow, reforming into a singularity of the Great Dao.

That singularity of the Great Dao was gestating. Like an embryo, it contained the primordial mysteries of the cosmos, preparing for its next eruption.

Soon, the singularity of the Great Dao re-contracted to a certain point where time and space seemed to vanish. In the vast chaos, perhaps only a second, or possibly hundreds of millions of years, passed before it ushered in the next Big Bang.

Brilliant primordial particles shot forth in all directions, exploding with a thunderous roar.

Countless overtures of the Great Dao chimed again, crisp and melodious, like heavenly music. Even the most exquisite notes in the world could not describe a ten-thousandth of their beauty.

“This universe still does not align with the Great Dao; I do not want it!”

The empty, majestic voice echoed once more, and the universe surprisingly experienced its second great collapse and regression.

Xu Zhi stood high above, directly over the dimensional courtyard, his expression perfectly calm. He had already anticipated this scene.

He knew it was impossible for the ideal universe he needed to manifest immediately. Although he had taken steps to steer the general direction and approximate the main universe, Genesis still relied on probability.

“It must largely adhere to the rules of the main universe; otherwise, my power simply cannot withstand its assimilation.”

He clearly understood that a universe with rules entirely different from the main universe was unrealistic; only minor variations were possible. Otherwise, it would be impossible to resist such overwhelming assimilation. At least, not yet.

“The previous universe carried a sacred aura, appearing profoundly mysterious and holding immense potential. However, the disparity in rules between the two universes was too vast; I simply couldn't withstand the assimilation of the greater cosmos.”

A hint of regret flickered across Xu Zhi’s face. He knew his own limitations well; attempting to evolve such a universe would be an act of suicide. What he aimed to do was to evolve a “cancer cell”—a universe that appeared largely indistinguishable from the main universe, thus deceiving most of its immune mechanisms. He would then allow this “cancer cell” to grow and establish itself as a “tumor” rooted within the greater cosmos.

Cosmic collapses and Big Bangs occurred repeatedly.

“This feels akin to evolving the origin of life itself—a spore with infinite possibilities and an infinite future…”

Xu Zhi gazed at the cosmic singularity and suddenly sighed with emotion. He realized that this singularity was, in a way, another form of spore, giving birth to a myriad of diverse and strange universes.

With each iteration, the Great Dao resonated, a constant baptism. Amidst countless collapses and explosions, the endless reverberations of the Dao utterly overwhelmed the minds of Caroline and the others, leaving them blank.

“This…”

“This is an unprecedented opportunity.”

“Indeed, this might be the greatest opportunity in the entire universe since its birth over a hundred billion years ago.”

They stood before the dimensional courtyard, their gaze fixed on the ancient, immense figure in the sky, their eyes burning with the fervor of pilgrims.

Previously, a single evolution by Medusa, a mere true sound of the Great Dao, was already a supreme principle that they needed to ponder deeply. But now? How many true sounds of the Great Dao were resonating before them! The Big Bangs and Great Collapses alone had been re-enacted countless times, with the overtures of the Great Dao resounding ceaselessly.

It was as if they were attending a grand symphony concert, seated and listening to various unparalleled divine melodies they had never dared to imagine before, so thrilled that they wished they had a dozen more pairs of ears. Shock and bewilderment were gone, replaced by a desperate absorption of this immense opportunity.

“This is like attending a sermon on the Great Dao of creation; we are all listening to the discourse of this ancient, unseen will of the Dao!” Emperor Qi’s eyes sparkled.

“All cosmic truths are mere illusions, and all true sounds of the Great Dao are the universe’s ‘lip-syncing’!… Even if it’s an illusion, we must still learn from it. Whatever is happening, it’s always right to absorb it first.” Caroline smiled, gazing at the sky. Even the most beautiful natural landscapes in the universe paled in comparison to this sight.

Meanwhile, Medusa’s face was resolute, tinged with a hint of fanaticism. “The cosmic overtures we hear are all the universe’s ‘lip-syncing’! Every universe has different rules. Only the Singularity, the ultimate source of all truths, is real… But if we don’t understand these ‘false truths,’ how can we trace them back to their origin and truly perceive the heavens of truth?”

All diverging branches of rules were considered the universe’s “false truths.” Only the river’s source was real, but without knowing the rivers of “false truth,” they could not follow them upstream to discover the ultimate truth.

Caroline, Medusa, Emperor Qi, the Three Pillar Gods, and everyone else desperately tried to record every detail. Yet, even for beings as powerful as them, it was nearly impossible to capture the complete score. Because in every instant, tens of thousands of Great Daos splintered, and an unimaginable number of syllables collided. How immense was the informational content of the entire universe?

Everyone remained calm, looking up at the sky.

“This… what in the world is this?!”

Only Yuanlan Tianzun remained oblivious to the full scope of what was happening. He knew nothing of the God of Creation or the God of Destruction. He only felt that this scene was both inexplicably shocking and terrifying, an unprecedented opportunity.

“I must seize this,” he thought, and began frantically noting everything down. At the same time, wild conjectures began to form in his mind.

This scene was too real. Could it be that an ancient, prehistoric cosmic entity, using unknown mystical means, had survived to the very end of a universe and recorded its final moments? Was all this truly ancient footage?

He still couldn't conceive that this was happening in real-time, believing it to be a remnant of ancient ruins, documenting incredible mysteries from an ancient universe.

“So, this scene is real, taking place in the prehistory of an ancient universe? Is there an entity that collapsed an entire universe, caused it to return, and then initiated its Genesis?” For him, the idea of an unseen, indescribable entity holding the universe, orchestrating its birth and destruction, was something that completely shattered his worldview.

“And simultaneously, in order to deduce the next suitable cosmic era, this entity constantly reshapes, enduring countless cosmic rebirths and restarts, adjusting until the desired universe is formed?” He gasped, sensing a profound terror within this revelation. The more he pondered, the more terrifying it seemed.

Each birth and destruction of a universe, seemingly an instantaneous collapse and restart, actually involved countless regressions and great collapses, only after which the fundamental rules of the next universe were determined, allowing a new universe to formally appear?

“Impossible… impossible… This scene must have another explanation…” He found the truth he had deduced too profoundly unsettling; he himself dared not, nor was he willing to believe it! How could there be an ancient entity controlling an entire universe, continually gestating and restarting it countless times?

“This scene, it shouldn’t be from prehistory,” he murmured. No sooner had that thought crossed his mind than he witnessed another incredible sight.

In the sky, after several days of grand collapses and restarts, the singularity of the greater cosmos finally stabilized.

“This kind of universe, however, aligns with my will!”

A nascent universe began to emerge. It carried a magnificent, ancient aura, seemingly born from fresh blood, imbuing a strange sense of ancient familiarity.

“This familiar aura, a universe where extraordinary abilities are cultivated through bloodlines… This is precisely our cosmic era!”

“And this entity evolved countless universes, yet it chose to stop precisely now!” His breathing became violently rapid, his face flushed, and his mind felt like a muddled mess. “So it truly is as I suspected! This is precisely the scene left behind from the prehistoric creation over 14 billion years ago. Our universe was born from this!”

“This is the origin scene of our universe’s birth.”
