Chapter 1222: Evolutionary Universe Blueprint

Centuries passed in the blink of an eye.

The Heavenly Sound Sect was situated on this planet. As eras intertwined in high-dimensional space-time, talents emerged continuously, and the mortals across the entire planet developed their own unique civilization. From elderly street vendors to affluent families, everyone knew at least some musical diagrams and pathways, fostering a widespread reverence for "sound and music." Even children in private schools began studying the Grand Dao musical scores from a young age, researching calculations, striving to distinguish themselves, hoping to pass the "imperial examinations" later, be noticed by immortals, and be admitted into the immortal sect. This meant that a system mature enough for beginners to learn was gradually taking shape.

Li Shengyin, who was the lead disciple back then, remained powerful. However, many changes had occurred with the development over the years; the disciples within the sect had married, had children, and built their own lives. Surprisingly, Li Shengyin was pursued by Zhao Wen Emperor, who was only a mid-tier disciple, and they became Dao companions. This event caused a significant stir among the disciples.

"She was originally a rural farmer, ugly and stocky, appearing masculine with thick leg hair, yet she married an enlightened ruler of his generation?"

"That Zhao Wen Emperor is also a refined and charming person, yet he resorted to such tactics. I often saw him lingering near her house; he clearly had malicious intentions."

"I'm from the neighboring village. If I had known, I would have made my move first."

Xu Zhi was in his lab conducting research when he learned of this, and he felt a little speechless. "This works too?" Zhao Wen Emperor was indeed a clever person, possessing this unexpected skill. Despite lacking in aptitude, he could elevate his influence within the sect through other means.

But Xu Zhi didn't bother to interfere. Over countless years, the disciples had gradually developed a more human touch. They were originally born as mortals. Without the strictures of cultivators and unaware of cultivation realms, they naturally continued to live lives like ordinary mortals. Their lives were simple and plain, and in Xu Zhi's eyes, their hearts were extremely pure, much like those simple seekers of the Dao. Such minds were most likely to achieve success in specific areas. "For example, what's before me now is no small achievement."

Xu Zhi looked at the nebula clusters in glass bottles, dotted with stars, forming magnificent vortices. "Their single seed, splitting into countless Grand Dao trees of rules, has actually produced quite a few..." Previously, Xu Zhi had only evolved seven, but now there were over thirty. This brought Xu Zhi many insights. These were viable bloodline universes, and they also provided a collection of the Grand Dao diagrams for these bloodline universes, showing how this great tree split.

"It's a pity, though, this is still only the first step in a long march." Xu Zhi knew clearly that he was limited by the framework of only being able to evolve "bloodline-type" universes. "These bloodline universes are all rather mediocre, appearing unremarkable, no different from the greater universe, lacking any unique characteristics!" Originally, among billions of possibilities, leaning towards forming a bloodline universe to survive was already a rare top prize. And the more he wanted this bloodline universe to exhibit more unique possibilities, the more remote the probability became. But Xu Zhi also hoped to evolve bloodline universes with potential for him to research and find a spark of life.

"This feeling is like evolving species; it's already rare for an evolved species to survive, but they are all ordinary surviving species. Extraordinary species with potential are even rarer." Xu Zhi shook his head, a hint of helplessness on his face. "Among thousands or tens of thousands, there might not be a single special or outstanding one."

"However, I have also officially ascended." Xu Zhi's expression grew strange. "Previously, as a creator god, I had to appear detached, conforming to the forms of heaven and earth's rules, acting as the unseen Dao, playing the role of natural phenomena... But now, I have truly ascended and become a creator god."

While Xu Zhi felt helpless, over these years, Nu Yi had fallen into complete shock. She had been confined to a small room and had not yet emerged. "Heavens! This marble is actually a Big Bang of the universe, capable of evolving into countless possibilities!!" She sat in the laboratory, her eyes shining brightly, as if she had discovered a new world.

"Wait, this isn't infinite possibility. The Grand Dao Singularity has some kind of defect... It can only evolve bloodline universes, and everything else is deathly still?" Being incredibly intelligent, she quickly discovered this and found the reason. "Perhaps the Grand Dao Singularity became incomplete... This is the reason for this ancient being's birth of consciousness, so it needs to mend the Grand Dao Singularity?"

"Then, I can only evolve bloodline-type universes!" Several more years passed, and Nu Yi evolved several bloodline universes, precisely identical to the current simulated Dao universe. She frowned. A few more years passed, and she continued to evolve. Although differences appeared, they were still minor.

She finally understood why mortals who fundamentally didn't understand the universe or its laws were needed. "As a Saint, my understanding and perception of the universe's rules are already deeply ingrained... etched into my soul, influencing my every word and action... Therefore, the universes I evolve are limited!" While the bloodline universes she evolved were indeed intricate and precise, now merely copies of the existing bloodline universe, they had lost other possibilities. Fixed mindsets are a terrible thing.

"Could it be that we can only rely on those mortals?" She frowned, "Not knowing the rules of the universe, not engaging in cultivation—are these the fish that escape the universe's rules, capable of creating a glimmer of hope?" It wasn't that she hadn't tried to develop one of the exploded universes, but it was too minuscule. It was merely a virtual Big Bang experiment, containing too little matter to truly sustain development and give rise to another era of Mang and Chaotic Fiendgod sculptures. Although she knew this was possible, what was lacking was merely matter!

"This is only a virtual experiment. If it were the Creator God... then these universes could be created at any time," Nu Yi mused, feeling the immense grandeur within.

Just then, an ethereal figure approached. "Unseen Will of the Universe, Your Highness the Creator God," the aged Nu Yi quickly rose and said.

"No need for formalities. I am no longer merely the Creator God; I have become selfish, developing emotions and self-awareness. You could say a mineral, once without intelligence, has gained wisdom, or a planet has developed self-consciousness..." The figure merely smiled. "These universes you've evolved are very good." The universes in the glass bottles before them were indeed exquisitely precise, even perfect replicas.

Nu Yi heard this and gave a wry smile. "How could these be good? They are all existing rules of the universe, without any innovation. Clearly, they don't meet your requirements." Although she didn't know what the Creator God intended, it was clear that such imitations were useless. There had to be novelty for them to serve any purpose.

"The Grand Dao is incomplete, and my wisdom comes from all beings. I can only borrow the wisdom of sentient beings to find a sliver of opportunity to pass through this calamity," Xu Zhi said, his hands clasped behind his back. "Everything depends on you all, while I can do nothing..."

Nu Yi's heart trembled. So that was it. The Creator God also sought to use the wisdom of all beings to evolve. After all, in a universe, sentient beings are the darlings of heaven and earth, possessing their own intelligence and capable of opening up infinite possibilities.

"Nor should you underestimate yourself," Xu Zhi calmly stated. "Every Saint becomes a part of the universe's rules and is naturally limited by their perceptions. This is due to the constant influence from birth until tens of thousands of years ago, and it's difficult to change... Yet, as a Saint, you have accomplished many things that are inherently incredible." The universes Nu Yi evolved were conventional. Although Xu Zhi was somewhat disappointed, it was within his expectations.

"But I am useless, not even as good as a mortal," Nu Yi said, feeling a little despondent. Back then, she had assisted her master, Mang, in achieving the Dao of life because she possessed talent in this area, having researched life structures and selected the most perfect spiral genetic structure for information carriage, which facilitated the birth of life. But now, she felt useless, unable to display her abilities.

"Do not underestimate yourself," the figure said. How could she be useless? In Xu Zhi's view, though she couldn't evolve new universes, Nu Yi's powerful strength as a Saint, her perfect control, and her ability to replicate such universes... inherently made her the strongest "tool" in the universe. Now, although Xu Zhi had successful experiments with those virtual universes, they were only in the laboratory. To truly manifest them, they would have to be re-enacted. And relying on the current Grand Dao diagrams and existing cosmic blueprints to perfectly re-enact the Big Bang once more, Xu Zhi's control simply wasn't sufficient. Perfect replication and inducing random occurrences were fundamentally different concepts! For replication, the level of detail required was terrifying. Only Nu Yi, the strongest Saint in this universe, could achieve this level.

With a wave of his hand, a glass bottle appeared before Xu Zhi, nebulae swirling within. "Most of the bloodline universes they've evolved are mediocre, but this one has a slight novelty. You can work with me to evolve a small universe and observe its development."

Nu Yi was stunned and couldn't help but nod. She took the cosmic blueprint and examined it carefully. "To break it at any time is very simple, but to make it exactly the same... that's a very arduous and complex task for me." She studied it very seriously. In her view, this was special treatment from the Creator God. After all, for such an existence, this was their inherent duty, effortlessly capable of real evolution. Allowing her to experience it firsthand was no less than a tremendous opportunity.

A few days later, she vaguely grasped a sliver of the essence, fully comprehended the Grand Dao blueprint, and began directly cloning and evolving that bloodline universe.

Boom!

In the silent, dark void, a dazzling Big Bang came into being, the origin of all things instantly scattering into countless particles: rules, matter, energy, space-time...

Xu Zhi stood quietly in the distance, watching this scene. "This combat power is indeed strong. If it were outside, it would have long swept through a universe... But it's a pity. They are miniature figures living in a bottle; the universe's singularity is fake, so they are also illusions."
