Chapter 1317: Vast Amount of Information

Whoosh—An indescribable aura, a pervasive presence, spread out.

To others, in the instant that figure turned its head, it was as if the universe itself had been destroyed, and all things in heaven and earth withered. Its profound, star-like eyes contained the endless Big Bangs and Great Crunches of the cosmos, spanning countless eons and vast expanses.

This was a figure that shocked all eternity, making both Zhi Ji and Rong Cheng feel an indescribable wonder. That aura seemed to encompass the entirety of the cosmos, including the heavens, rivers, and even the very matter of their own beings.

“What is this?” Rong Cheng felt his heart pound with dread, sitting within the myriad heavens of this deep-sea universe. “Is this the mysterious entity that doesn’t belong to our current universe?”

He hadn't believed it at first, but now… he was starting to.

This aura was incredibly mysterious, encompassing nearly the entire cosmos. It vaguely made him perceive hints of the great singularity, as if an ancient, hidden Eleventh-Tier being stood before him.

Only an Eleventh-Tier being could survive the collapse and explosion of the universe, never losing power amidst the differing rules of each new universe that exploded into existence, able to master everything.

The Tenth-Tier represented the apex of the universe, beings living within it, false entities whose cultivation of pseudo-paths was restricted.

Only the Eleventh-Tier could cultivate the ultimate “Truth,” having transcended the limitations of individual universes to fully embrace eternity, becoming magnificent eagles soaring above the cosmos.

“It seems this person didn’t lie to me.” He looked at the Ancient God, pondering, “This could indeed originate from this universe, but from a certain mysterious and unique point in its history, containing too many incredible ancient mysteries.”

“Is this the cosmic leader of these meteor showers? The Mother of the Cosmos?”

Meanwhile, Zhi Ji secretly gritted her teeth. Without the Ancient God’s prompting, she knew even less than Rong Cheng. She merely wondered, “But why is it called the God of Destruction?”

This was only natural.

If it were the God of Creation, they would immediately understand, as that meaning is superficial.

But the term ‘God of Destruction’ covers many aspects; after all, destruction is a power imbued with numerous factors. They naturally wouldn’t consider that the ultimate goal of destruction is the hidden concept of annihilating the universe.

As the two were startled, they dared not utter a sound.

Emperor Qi, Caroline, and the others, by contrast, were familiar with the situation. After all, it wasn’t their first time meeting a God of Creation; although the one before them was the God of Destruction, it was also the ancient God of Creation…

Gurgle.

In the surrounding azure waters, bubbles rose to the surface.

Everyone else watched in silence. After a long moment, Emperor Qi thought for a bit, then finally stepped out from the sidelines and asked, “Are you appearing in this era to evolve the future of the universe?”

The God of Destruction turned around and quietly gazed at them, seemingly contemplating for a moment before suddenly saying, “Long time no see. Countless eons have passed…”

Zhi Ji was stunned, and Rong Cheng was also in a daze, secretly pondering the meaning.

Emperor Qi, however, smiled and replied, “To one as great as you, we are merely a fleeting ripple from countless eons ago. Yet for us, we just met you a short while ago.”

“What you saw, that was not I.”

Though the God of Destruction was answering, its hands continued their work, evolving future life. “I still possess consciousness and have awakened my spirit. You need not be constrained; simply treat me as a living being. If you align with my faction, there is no need for excessive formality… As for this moment, I am also acting on personal desire, to reveal some of the future in this present time, hoping to twist certain events.”

Faction?

Twist certain predetermined events?

Seeing that Emperor Qi and the others seemed to know the reason, Rong Cheng, who had no idea why, couldn’t help but feel a little anxious.

But the conversation that followed remained utterly incomprehensible to him.

“Are you evolving a predetermined future?” Caroline asked at this point, looking at the beings being born in the primordial sea.

“There is no such thing as predetermined; everything is subject to will.”

The God of Destruction calmly stated, “From the moment I descended, the trajectory of the universe completely changed, and major, violent variables appeared. There is no talk of predestination, yet fate has not truly been escaped; even I may not have the ability to escape it.”

Fate!

Upon hearing this, Rong Cheng fell into complete silence. He began to understand somewhat; after all, how intelligent was he? He could discern part of their conversation’s meaning from mere hints.

So, it and these universes descended, and thus the destined trajectory of the universe changed?

The implication was that the cosmic meteor shower before them was an unprecedented variable for this universe, rather than a destined nodal era for the cosmos?

The original primordial sea era—had it not arrived?

This was too horrifying.

And utterly terrifying.

Even though he had come from over ten billion years ago, having endured a vast upheaval and emerged victorious from bloody battlefields, he still felt an undercurrent of fear, his heart trembling.

“It seems that clandestinely crossing from the Realm of Immortality into this era, awaiting the arrival of the final Age of Dharma Decline to attain enlightenment, is also far from simple—much more troublesome and dangerous than we imagined… even such variables have arisen.”

Rong Cheng thought to himself that this second half of the battle would be harder than imagined.

His thoughts surged, but he quickly regained his calm. “However, this seems possible! This cosmic meteor shower in the primordial sea doesn’t appear to be a predetermined scenario or trend. The descent of these universes seems like an accident…”

To be honest, he had been suspicious before. What cosmic rain? What Buddhist and Taoist civilizations? Wasn’t it likely that there was a hidden mastermind, a factor of human planning?

Now, he completely questioned it.

This was indeed not a naturally destined era!

Because this suddenly appearing meteor shower was not inevitable. To expect a meteor that could fall at any moment, yet might never land, to determine the next era?

Isn’t that ridiculous?

If it never descended throughout the entire cosmic period, wouldn’t everything be doomed?

It wasn't inevitable; it was coincidental. Thus, it was not predetermined fate, merely that.

He thought a great deal, and his breathing gradually quickened. “But if this speculation is true, and the universe has deviated from its destiny, producing variables, then that’s too terrifying… After all, variables mean the unknown, and the unknown means immense horror!”

“And perhaps these variables are the truth behind this cosmic meteor shower. Changing the major trend of a universe without external force is impossible.”

“And an entity that doesn’t belong to this cosmic era could indeed achieve it!”

As a mad wizard, Rong Cheng had conducted too many experiments. He understood the rules and truths of the universe better than anyone, and he continued to ponder.

In this world, an entity capable of deceiving his perception did not yet exist!

Only with sufficient erudition and extensive knowledge could no one deceive him.

As an ancient being who had traversed countless ages, he clearly understood that so-called deception was merely built upon ignorance. Currently, he was one of the most knowledgeable beings in the cosmos; it was impossible for anyone to deceive him.

However, he sensed that this situation was profoundly complex.

He pressed his forehead and secretly organized his thoughts. “According to the current trend, the present era of the myriad heavens and the primordial sea is not fated; it’s a variable… So, what then was the destined primordial sea era like?”

He stared at the beings within that primordial sea.

They were both dead and alive…

This was likely the next primordial sea era.

He furiously deduced, his mind rapidly turning, with endless data flashing through. He suddenly opened his eyes, having glimpsed a corner of a future era, and abruptly looked at the beings gestating within the primordial sea.

“In other words, with the perfecting of the universe’s rules, the primordial sea becomes clear, beginning to gestate life, and this life is the destined opportunity for the era.”

He had seen a corner of the Realm of Immortality’s future back then; how could he not see a corner of this era’s future now?

Although he had passed his youth, he was still in his prime. With the facts laid bare before him, for him to fail to deduce it would be a joke.

He suddenly looked at the entity before him, named the God of Destruction, feeling deeply shocked. “And this entity, an ancient being from an unknown age, is actually, by its own power, pre-clearing a localized part of the primordial sea here, evolving the environment for the next great trend of the future!”
