Chapter 842: Terrifying Mysterious Civilization (Extra Chapter for Alliance Leader Lin Yushen)

"Archaic God," Caroline said, bowing slightly.

Beside her, many players also bowed respectfully, not daring to utter a sound. No one dared to court disaster.

They were shaken internally. It turned out that this great being had been observing them all along, which, in retrospect, was only natural. It would have been strange if the Archaic God had not been paying attention to Caroline and the mini-universe.

"Do you have any doubts regarding the dimension of time?" the Archaic God asked softly.

Caroline nodded, ignoring the colossal super-organism on the nearby experimental platform. "Indeed," she whispered. "We seem to be different from the beings outside our civilization."

*Swish!* Caroline lightly grasped something. Amidst the white brainworm god's screams and terror, she abruptly pulled out one of its internal spaces, opening a spatial gate.

*Whoosh.* Space-time twisted slightly. Inside was a city with a unique style. Black, circular stone buildings dotted the landscape, and humanoid beings, soft like tofu and resembling brainworms, walked, communicated, and spoke in the streets. These were the brainworm's portable offspring.

However, these beings gave off a strange sense of incongruity, as if they existed in a different temporal dimension. The inhabitants of this entire world moved so slowly they were almost as still as statues. It was as if two different rates of time flow were at play. Clearly, the extremely slow time flow of their city and their thoughts was considered normal.

"They must be the normal beings in the myriad heavens, while we are vastly, vastly faster than them," Caroline stated.

"Precisely," the Archaic God replied.

Xu Zhi's sudden arrival was unexpected even for him. Although he had long anticipated that upon encountering true cosmic civilizations in the outer universe, they would eventually discover their own anomaly. Without comparison, discovery was impossible. But once compared with the outside world, it was bound to be revealed!

Originally, one day was equivalent to one unit of time. But now, it was a hundredfold, meaning a single day equated to a century. In this terrifying accelerated state, a god-level being could only live for about three months!

"What are your thoughts on this?" the Archaic God asked with a smile.

Caroline paused for a moment before candidly replying, "The difference in the flow of time is only relative. We have, in truth, genuinely lived such long lives."

The Archaic God asked, "What advantages do you see in this?"

Caroline collected her thoughts. "In this situation, civilization develops at an unimaginable speed. It iterates rapidly, with generations living and dying quickly. The pace of a world's civilization advancing is terrifyingly fast!"

The Archaic God then inquired, "And what disadvantages do you perceive?"

Disadvantages? Caroline paused again, considering for a moment. "If I had to name a disadvantage, there isn't truly one, because we genuinely live for such extended periods. But if I *must* point one out... it would be how others perceive us. In their eyes, we are indeed like mayflies, born in the morning and dying in the evening, which is quite tragic."

After all, a civilization that experiences tens of thousands of years of development only exists for a few actual years. That is indeed quite pitiable.

The Archaic God chuckled. "Our civilization is a cursed race, or perhaps, a blessed one. My fellow Daoist and I once made a wish to an unnameable existence, paying an unimaginable price to acquire this 'curse'."

As these words fell, everything changed! The brainworm god was terrified! How could such a horrifying cosmic taboo existence be real? Forcibly fixing a race in higher-dimensional space-time to accelerate them...

"My heavens! This accelerates individual races, not just a patch of space!!!" the brainworm screamed internally.

It knew a great deal; its inherited memories contained records of certain forbidden Ninth-Tier existences. Such beings rarely bothered with the galactic conflicts of their subordinates.

Cosmic overlords of this caliber could create a segment of space, twisting it into a higher-dimensional space-time to achieve extreme speeds, like a hundred years per day. Within this accelerated world, they could conduct experiments to complete certain research. Forcibly twisting space-time to allow even ordinary life within that space to develop the Eighth-Tier thought path of a god was utterly exaggerated! To achieve this, even among Ninth-Tier beings, would be considered an unimaginably terrifying feat for a colossal entity.

However, those feats involved accelerating an entire segment of space. What was happening here... was far more terrifying! It wasn't space being accelerated, but the acceleration was applied individually to each living being.

What did this imply? It meant they didn't have to stay confined to a high-dimensional accelerated space; they could go out into the wider universe and retain this acceleration wherever they went!

"I'm dead! I'm definitely dead! This is even more terrifying than I imagined, not just a great Ninth-Tier enlightened being who transcends the universe, but likely a higher cosmic secret...!!"

He knew he was surely doomed.

What a terrifying and mysterious high-dimensional civilization this was.

Caroline, upon hearing this, was also inwardly shaken. "You communicated with a certain existence in ancient times to permanently twist our race into higher-dimensional space-time?"

Could it be the God of Creation? According to ancient history, the God of Creation could be communicated with. It was, in essence, the materialization of obscure cosmic laws, symbolizing some unseen equivalent exchange.

The previous Demon God Medusa, through an equivalent exchange, gained an opportunity to enter the Land of All Origins, but paid a sufficiently enormous price, ultimately disappearing into an unknown space-time. No one knew if she was alive or dead.

The players were also completely astonished. "Could it really be the God of Creation?" "If not, could it be a Tenth-Tier entity?"

The players had similar conjectures. "Could it be Emperor Lord's father? That ultimate Tenth-Tier cosmic existence?"

All ancient mythical history was hidden deeper than they had imagined! They didn't have time to ponder further.

At this point, the Archaic God merely revealed the origin briefly before smiling. "Our race has long resided in higher-dimensional space-time, transcending endless cosmic civilizations and standing above all things. If you wish to communicate with the lower-dimensional civilizations outside, you must ultimately de-dimension yourselves and become beings of lower-thought space-time to interact with them."

*Click!* The Archaic God gently held an ancient longsword and thrust it into the ground. "This is the Sword of Breaking Blessings. This factor was considered when the wish was made. Possessing it allows you to regulate your thought speed for a short time and enter the lower dimension!"

"It's like humans occasionally wanting to pause and carefully observe the ridiculous ants on the ground, listening to their conversations," the Archaic God stated calmly.

Caroline took hold of the sword. It felt ordinary, without any discernible properties. Even when she extended her divine sense to a particle level, examining every metal particle, she detected nothing unusual.

However, she suddenly realized she could regulate the speed of her thought-space-time. This was an Eighth-Tier Path ability that Eighth-Tier gods possessed. Yet, she had not perceived it back then; only now, after completing the Ninth-Tier Path, did she truly sense the existence of the Eighth-Tier Path.

*Whoosh!* She rapidly de-dimensioned herself, lowering her perception to the most normal flow of time, identical to Earth's regular speed.

She watched the brainworm's city, which now moved rapidly, its changes unfolding like a whirlwind of transformation over vast stretches of time.

"You can amuse yourselves in lower-dimensional civilizations, observing their customs and traditions," the Archaic God said with a smile. "Not that these civilizations lack powerful beings, nor are they overly primitive... but ultimately, our war against the enemy universe is the true priority."

"Yes," Caroline promptly affirmed.
