Chapter 847: Ancient Cosmic History

Xu Zhi did not directly enter this mysterious cosmic manor. Instead, he landed on a distant planet.

He penetrated the atmosphere, descending into the clouds in the sky, where he slowly came to a halt. His gaze seemed to pierce through the swirling mists, looking down at the cities across the entire land.

The magic core chip in his mind operated rapidly.

"Analyzing air structure...""Oxygen content 15%, nitrogen content 56%..."

Xu Zhi descended into a city.

These were small, snow-white humanoid creatures with tails, human-like faces, and cat-like markings on their cheeks. Surprisingly, they even had a certain aesthetic appeal. Of course, it wasn't a sense of conventional beauty, but rather a charming and delicate quality. Perhaps they resembled the cat-folk from Western legends, with every individual being strikingly handsome or beautiful.

They were bustling in the streets, calling out their wares, and chatting in groups, like lifelike statues standing in a nearly static, distant spacetime.

They could not perceive Xu Zhi, who was observing them from another dimension. He even tried to touch their muscles.

"Very elastic, like smooth fish meat."

"These are living extraterrestrial beings, not so different... In fact, the results are largely similar to the life forms I've evolved."

Xu Zhi analyzed calmly.

The evolutionary life sandbox he developed was inherently designed to evolve according to the universe's evolutionary rules. Naturally, what he saw outside was similar.

"Indeed, most higher life forms are humanoid... Because from the perspective of natural evolution, for a creature to develop civilization, it must learn to walk upright from a quadrupedal state, freeing its forelimbs. Only then can it learn to make tools and develop intelligent tribes and primitive civilizations..."

However, a humanoid form doesn't necessarily mean having only two legs and two arms. The primary goal of a humanoid form is to free up "hands" for work; it can still have multiple legs or multiple arms...

Just like what he saw before him.

Xu Zhi noticed that the tip of the cat-person's tail was fluffy and resembled a stubby cat paw.

"Is this their third leg? Or... a third hand? With three fingers, growing from behind their rear?" Xu Zhi was slightly startled as he touched the cat-paw-like tail of a passerby on the street.

It was soft and cute, like squeezing a kitten's plump paw.

"It was likely used as a hand at some point, but with the development of modern civilization and accompanying evolution, it has degenerated into something very short, similar to how Earth humans gradually lost their tails..."

"At the same time, this era is like the Middle Ages, with religious theological systems, schools, various nations, and true gods. However, it can be seen that there might have been a highly developed civilization in prehistoric times. Although this race is currently primitive, they have no genetic defects or diseases, and are all exceedingly beautiful. It's highly probable that, like the Ishudars, they underwent a massive genetic revolution and a 'lesser human' elimination plan in ancient times..."

Xu Zhi slowly walked along the street, calmly stating:

"Caroline did something similar back then: various appeasement policies, brain surgery immediately after birth to compensate for magic core genetic defects... all to make the Ishudars 'gods'."

The extraterrestrial beings on the street were like statues, frozen in high-dimensional spacetime, none of them able to sense his presence. Even the Tier 8 gods on this planet, who could enter high-dimensional spacetime, were utterly unable to sense Xu Zhi's arrival.

"Looking at these static beings, from a different dimension, isn't very interesting... I should stick to my main objective: visit the library and research that massive manor standing in the universe."

Xu Zhi looked up. Even from the surface of this planet, he could faintly see the distant ruins of the ancient manor, as if gazing at a colossal cosmic edifice.

His divine sense enveloped the entire bustling city. In the city's central lighthouse stood a tall, black octopus statue. Beside it was a giant made of black crystal, with a blurry face and spiraled, pointed horns.

"Perhaps, as I truly suspected, the giant octopus is a pet, and its master is the being depicted by that statue...""However, many of the only gods on this planet belong to the giant octopus race... They should be descendants."

He entered the library.

All the books in the library were deep blue, hundreds of thousands of them. They floated out from the shelves and opened in mid-air, an extraordinarily magnificent sight.

"Analyzing language.""Analysis complete. Reviewing civilization data..."

Xu Zhi sat on a library chair and gently stroked the head of a small, motionless cat-girl nearby. She appeared to be a wealthy student, dressed in noble attire, and felt pleasantly plump to the touch."Too bad, if I were Tier 9, it wouldn't be this troublesome. I could distort laws like Caroline, changing the appearance and essence of living and non-living things, and directly see inside the book pages without having to pull them out."

Xu Zhi paused and began to continuously analyze and synthesize all the historical data.

"Two hundred and thirty thousand years ago, Renimansga descended from the outer cosmos and spread divine blood. Only three percent of the chosen ones survived. It taught these chosen children on the ground how to cultivate, to comprehend their own [cosmic view], and to forge their own [spiritual field universe]. It also used means to distort the entire planet's orbit, detaching it from its star system... After three millennia of flight, it arrived at this land and saw the center of the True God's abode: the Cosmic Manor."

A rogue planet?

Xu Zhi was stunned. Indeed, just as he had suspected, many of the life-bearing planets here had been collected by this Tier 9 being during its cosmic travels.

"An ordinary planet might catch the attention of a Tier 8 god... but for a Tier 9, it should be of no consequence, perhaps even ignored... This is probably a collector, like an ordinary person filling a room with shoes."

Xu Zhi merely murmured this upon seeing it.

Moving a planet through space, even a Tier 9 would likely be unwilling to expend such immense magical power. After all, once weakened, one could easily become the target of other beings, close to death!

Therefore, modifying the planet's parameters to intensely accelerate its original orbit, using the star system's gravitational slingshot, would allow it to fly out at an extremely high speed. Enabling a planet to travel through space at high speed is a clever manipulation of "laws," requiring negligible power to achieve such a miracle.

"It could be described as using a small force to move a great weight."

Xu Zhi looked at this, deep in thought. "So that's how it is? The essence of Tier 9 is the distortion of laws, an existence that transcends cosmic rules. Therefore, at this realm, the most suitable method is to use the lever of distortion to pry open unimaginable behemoths."

"The natural universe is unconquerable. What life must do is to cleverly leverage it, not brute force it."
