Chapter 903: New Martial Arts

Everyone wore an expression as if they had seen a ghost; it was utterly bizarre.

He was on this grassland from the very beginning? It was simply that no one had observed him; he was indeterminate. Only after he made a sound did people perceive him, causing his "wave function to collapse" and become a definite reality.

"Quantum mechanics... My goodness! The law he cultivates is a quantum law!" Someone finally reacted, exclaiming in terror.

Schrödinger's Cat.

He was that cat in the box! He had previously been in a superposition of states, both alive and not alive, and only observation by others caused him to collapse into a definite reality!

Every supreme god who had embarked on the path to the Ninth Order cultivated and specialized in certain cosmic laws, manipulating them to their will. Yet, none of them had ever witnessed someone cultivate... quantum mechanics!

They again wore expressions as if they had seen a ghost.

"Do you call it... quantum indeterminacy? 'Quantum' is certainly a strange term. We refer to this as 'Hunyuan,' and in some places, it's called the 'Great Dao of Chaos.'"

The white-robed scholar smiled, "But we are similar. We call the multiverse we inhabit the Spiritual Universe, or the Mind-Image Universe. Places we haven't observed are chaotic, entangled, and singular—possessing intense uncertainty and not truly existing. Only when perceived do they divide into Yin and Yang and manifest as reality. Naturally, martial arts traditions vary from world to world. In my martial arts theory, to investigate things is to understand truth, and outside of investigating things, there is no truth."

Martial arts? That most primitive form of combat?

They actually called this 'martial arts'? Where could such terrifying martial arts possibly come from! They were so terrified they were on the verge of a mental breakdown.

"By the way, is this your divine artifact's internal data?" The white-robed scholar made a grasping motion in the air, seizing an intelligent AI storage device. Under their bewildered gazes, he instantly bypassed various security measures and absorbed all the knowledge and data stored within.

"This martial art, which allows for the rapid reading of vast texts and piercing through superficial defenses, is considered a high-grade legacy within my disciples' teachings, named 'God-Ghost Scrutiny.' It seems you still can't quite grasp it. If I were to explain it using your own theories..."

The white-robed scholar seemed to grow puzzled again. After a few seconds of contemplation, he said, "Perhaps, it could be called... quantum fluctuation speed-reading." He was applying the quantum theory he had just learned, on the spot.

"'Quantum fluctuation speed-reading?'" Everyone's scalps tingled. The principle was indeed quite difficult to grasp. This civilization was terrifyingly advanced, having pushed the application of quantum mechanics to its absolute limit. They were well aware that the moment they entered, they had been detected by some terrifying entity. But now, all they could do was let nature take its course; struggling would be futile.

"You claim that what you cultivate... is martial arts?"

The Thirteenth Prince shivered, unable to help but ask, "Is it the martial dao? The kind that relies purely on physical training, enhancing the body to elevate one's life level... the kind that uses ordinary punches and kicks to generate force?"

"Martial arts? We certainly cultivate martial arts, and it does rely on physics. However, it's not the traditional martial arts you envision – relying on pure punches and kicks for vector strikes, or on gravitational acceleration, nuclear fission, nuclear fusion, and various physical reactions. That pertains to the classical physics of the macroscopic universe, or rather, I suppose you might call it 'classical martial arts,' correct?"

He called classical physics... "classical martial arts"? A profound silence fell upon everyone.

The martial dao, perhaps, could indeed be termed "classical martial arts." It truly relies on "physical mechanics" for combat. Their weight was astonishing, their mass immense, allowing them to deliver blows with punches and kicks; they could be called humanoid nuclear bombs.

The white-robed scholar continued, "In your terms, while what we cultivate is also martial arts, it's not classical physics, but quantum physics. Oh, perhaps you could call my practice 'non-classical martial arts.' In essence, all our martial arts schools derive from physics, yet they differ."

The white-robed scholar continued, attempting to explain in a simple, understandable way: "Nonetheless, we still call it—martial arts. It's also derived from ancient, lower-level combat skills like fist, foot, saber, and sword. Those also utilized physical mechanics; we are of the same origin... So that's probably why this name was chosen, wouldn't you say? Perhaps?"

The white-robed scholar then fell back into contemplation, pondering whether his explanation was truly rigorous enough.

Everyone's minds reeled! Their thoughts churned like a tempest. Was this the core of a higher, transcendent universe? Indeed.

The martial dao, purely relying on physical blows, aligns with the classical physics of the macroscopic universe. How then could there not be the other side: the quantum physics of the microscopic universe? Such a system must surely exist! It was simply that they were too low-level to have ever perceived it.

"By the way, I'll take you out of here. It's too dangerous; if others discover my existence, they might try to kill me." He turned, adding, "I'll take you to my cave dwelling and sect."

"We're leaving, but how?" the crowd finally couldn't help but ask again.

"Oh, this is a martial art that transcends light, far more advanced than mere spatial displacement. I call it 'Xiaoyao You'—'Free Roaming'—capable of soaring through the entire boundless multiverse, traversing three thousand seven hundred world-sects." As he explained, seeing their utterly bewildered faces, he paused, then suddenly chuckled: "So, tell me, do you understand quantum entanglement?"

Meanwhile, online, the entire community erupted.

"Holy cow, quantum fluctuation speed-reading actually exists!"

"No way!"

Everyone was utterly stunned. Indeed, only the ignorant would doubt quantum fluctuation speed-reading; higher civilizations had long since achieved it.

"So, classical martial arts rely on physics—macroscopic classical mechanics... and non-classical martial arts also rely on physics, but microscopic quantum mechanics?"

"I am absolutely dumbfounded!"

"Newton just popped open his coffin lid, then promptly lay back down, muttering, 'Oh, your martial arts are still within the realm of physics? Well, that's alright then.'"

"Truly, master mathematics, physics, and chemistry, and you'll fear nothing anywhere in the world!"

"The end of science is theology!"

They were all astonished; physics was indeed the fundamental mechanical theory of the universe, underlying many cosmic rules.

"We've now gathered some information. This civilization undoubtedly cultivates quantum mechanics, as they possess parallel universes, and the very concept of parallel universes arises from the uncertainty principle of quantum mechanics! Therefore, they must have embarked on the study of quantum to explore parallel universes...."

"Perhaps through accumulation over time, they developed a unique cultivation system—Quantum Martial Arts!"

"I'm completely lost. Quantum... I don't understand it at all! What now?"

"Ask the white-robed scholar! After all, when in doubt, quantum mechanics!"

"Their martial arts cultivate quantum force!"

"As a physics dunce, I'm completely baffled."

"There's no way; this is beyond the scope of nine years of compulsory education (sobs)."

"Perhaps Pan Xuexian, the pioneer of muscle-based martial arts, has returned to her heaven and can now transition from classical martial arts to non-classical martial arts!"

"But with her intelligence, could she even comprehend quantum physics?"

"Even with quantum fluctuation speed-reading, her intelligence might not be enough to grasp it." Many felt her intelligence was truly concerning; she was a combat-focused player. If it were someone like Cute Girl, Akina Mountain Speed, or Alchemy Emperor—academic, non-combat-oriented players—it would be no problem.

Simultaneously, the players were utterly astounded. This was their first encounter with such an extraordinarily bizarre and unimaginably vast super-civilization. Its system bore little resemblance to any previous civilizations, leaving them, despite being saints on average, utterly bewildered and clueless.
