Caroline felt an unknown chill down her spine. The aura of a 4.5-gene life form suggested the possible presence of a Tenth-Tier being. A Tenth-Tier civilization? This star system was rumored to contain ultimate Tenth-Tier cosmic entities. Reflecting on it now, that nomadic civilization was simply too bizarre! Bizarre to the point of being terrifying!

She lowered her head, looking at the ordinary life-bearing planet. Its civilization level was very common, clearly just an ordinary civilization. "Is that nomadic civilization truly hidden in the nearby void? If so, why would they linger near a planet with such a low-level civilization? No occupation, no action whatsoever." Caroline carefully backed away, unnerved, saying, "And the previous Teal civilization seemed to receive similar treatment: no occupation, no actions. In fact, they even communicated with and stayed for a period among the relatively low-level Teal civilization back then."

According to records, those mysterious extraterrestrial beings disembarked from some kind of vessel. The Teal civilization no longer remembered their appearance, only a deep, blue impression. A strange sense of eternity. "And I, knowing that the Teal civilization had secretly tracked them for a while, assumed they were a civilization not far superior to us." After all, how powerful could they be if the Teal civilization could secretly track and follow them for a period?

But now, thinking about it, ignoring the tracking could actually have two possibilities. The first: their technological civilization was too primitive to detect the pursuers. The second: the tracking party was too weak, the disparity between them too vast, so they bothered not with a "little ant" civilization curious about them. Now, she suspected it was the second.

She retreated further, becoming completely solemn, and finally departed. "It seems I need to thoroughly examine the memory data and images left by the Teal civilization from that time." She returned cautiously, quickly searching through Emperor Teal's inherited memories within her spiritual universe. The Teal Empire's succession was very unique. As a powerful technological cosmic civilization, they would also pass on the memories of the Great Emperor along with the imperial throne. "I didn't pay much attention back then, but now it seems I need to carefully observe that conversation," Caroline murmured, her gaze lowered. "It's time to reconstruct those memory scenes." She closed her eyes.

It was as if, through generations of inherited memories, she vaguely saw an unknown, hazy disc hovering above the planet, its shape utterly indistinguishable. That was the memory of that generation's Emperor Teal. "They" descended from the disc, and it was as if all life on the planet paused. The impression, though unclear in detail, was distinctly blue. Even Caroline couldn't discern effective information from the memory. The memory was too distant, as if deliberately blurred. "But it conveyed a peculiar sensation, as if the moment they were seen, time itself was frozen, solidified into eternity." It was this strange feeling.

Yet, the Emperor Teal of that era didn't seem surprised, even overlooking their strangeness. Instead, he asked where that civilization came from and if they had hostile intentions. The other party appeared amicable, and the two sides kindly exchanged some information before the visitors departed in their spaceship. It was that simple.

"Still no discernible information..." Caroline took a deep breath. "That blue, though, instilled an absolute sense of terror, as if time itself had been frozen and solidified... I need to consult the Supra-Ancient Deity." With a turn, Caroline vanished completely.

Xu Zhi sat on the sofa in front of the television, utterly bewildered. What the hell is all this?! You ask me? How would I know? The previous Teal civilization was extremely weak; even a few Super Saiyan-like beings, the weakest disabled Ninth-Tiers, could wipe them out. And now, something so exaggerated appears out of nowhere?

"This is completely out of character," Xu Zhi felt as if he'd been doused in cold water, his previously hazy, relaxed expression instantly turning serious. "A bizarre and terrifying unknown civilization, one that even Caroline, a breakthrough Ninth-Tier Daoist, sensed a strong crisis from." But reality doesn't always play by the rules. This civilization is still very bizarre! But how could it not be bizarre? Which true super Daoist cosmic civilization isn't mysterious and inconceivably powerful?

"Sub-brain, what's the situation?" Xu Zhi asked. The intelligent sub-brain replied: "This aura is similar to that of a Tenth-Tier five-gene life form, but it's not strictly the same. In a strict sense, this is the aura of a 4.5-gene life form." 4.5 genes? Xu Zhi immediately realized: a weak Tenth-Tier, one who has embarked on the path to the Tenth Tier! How does one walk the path to the Tenth Tier? By condensing the fifth gene... halfway through condensing, wouldn't that be 0.5 of a gene?

"Good, I thought I'd hit the jackpot, encountering the kind of ultimate Tenth-Tier being that normal civilizations wouldn't encounter even after hundreds of thousands of years of development," Xu Zhi sighed in relief. Such beings should be extremely rare, almost impossible to encounter. After all, if you're a low-level "little ant" fighting, the truly powerful might no longer even exist in the same space-time as you. But even if this isn't the ultimate grand prize, it's certainly a major one. A weak Tenth-Tier, what does that concept even mean? This is a super-monster that has perfectly completed four genes, then broken through to the Ninth Tier, and is now embarking on the path to the Tenth Tier! How difficult is it to perfectly complete four genes? It's unimaginable. There aren't many Ninth-Tiers in the universe to begin with, and most find it difficult to break through. Yet, now, the strongest, legendary top-tier Ninth-Tier civilization has appeared? A civilization with the potential to reach the Tenth Tier?

"I originally thought it was just an ordinary Ninth-Tier civilization, barely a match, something to put a little pressure on Caroline. Who knew something like *this* would show up?" Xu Zhi took a deep breath. "Sub-brain, what's the power gap?" "If they were to strike with lethal intent, our civilization would most likely be annihilated," the intelligent sub-brain replied. "Only a few individuals would be able to escape." Emperor Qi, Caroline, and the others, if they went head-on, would they all be killed? Could they only flee? Completely powerless to resist?

Xu Zhi's expression became completely calm. This is only normal. They are weak Tenth-Tiers, already on the path to the Tenth Tier. How can you fight that? It's like an Eighth-Tier God who has embarked on the Ninth-Tier path and can distort laws; if a normal Eighth-Tier God, unable to distort laws, confronts them, they're simply not beings of the same dimension! The fact that Caroline, Emperor Qi, and others could escape means they are exceptionally powerful.

"Then, it's better not to provoke them," Xu Zhi mused. "A direct confrontation isn't necessarily required. A weak Tenth-Tier cannot break through the current protective shield of the Zerg," the Zerg sub-brain replied. The Zerg sub-brain continued, "They cannot track our location by following the traces of laws, because we already possess several powerful Ninth-Tier Daoists, countless Ninth-Tier paths, and millions of gods and Heavenly Emperors."

Xu Zhi was stunned for a moment. He quickly understood what the Zerg sub-brain meant. It's like the Three Pillar Gods, utilizing the immense racial destiny gathered by living beings; the opponent isn't yet strong enough to, by themselves, completely break through the protective power accumulated by an entire race. "So, because my Zerg have vast numbers and high quality, even a weak Tenth-Tier cannot, by themselves, crush the combined destiny of the entire Zerg, break through the Zerg's protective shield, and track us?" Xu Zhi organized his thoughts. In that case, Xu Zhi found himself somewhat interested. Although his side couldn't win a direct fight, as long as they kept hiding, the opponent couldn't reach them or find their world's coordinates by following the laws. However, he first needed to observe the true nature of this civilization.

The Zerg sub-brain's voice came: "The inherited memory images of the contemporary Teal King have been restored. Do you wish to access them?" Xu Zhi was speechless. Truly a professional at taking advantage; reading the inherited memories of other civilizations and 'occupying the magpie's nest' was clearly second nature to it. "Access," Xu Zhi said softly.

The images Xu Zhi saw were clearer than what Caroline had perceived, but he still saw only hazy, blue, mysterious extraterrestrial beings. However, this time, the dialogue was very clear.

"Our appearance is the most acceptable form for you." The deep blue being opposite was a beautiful, slender, two-meter-plus tall deer-antlered beauty, pale blue in color, exuding an aura of tallness and sanctity. "Please do not be surprised; we are presenting ourselves in this form to minimize any repulsion you might feel towards us."

"Where do you come from? What is your objective? What do you intend to do with us?" That generation's Emperor Teal asked, highly wary, starting immediately with three very direct core questions.

"We come from the other end of the universe. Our objective is interstellar travel, to collect resources from civilizations, and incidentally to observe various cosmic civilizations. We have no hostile intent. We also serve as a cleaner civilization for the universe, eliminating some fallen advanced civilizations to protect the growth of your lower-tier civilizations."

"Cleaners?"

"Yes. When you reach the threshold of our civilization's level, you will witness the wars on our plane, which are very frequent. At this stage of civilization, most Ninth-Tier civilizations in the universe gradually evolve into degenerate advanced Daoist civilizations. Their knowledge levels can no longer break through. Empty, lonely, isolated, their civilizations can no longer advance, and they gradually initiate frequent wars, even self-destructing. We are here to prevent such occurrences."

"I don't understand what you're saying. Are you very powerful?"

"We understand, as your civilization has not yet reached this level. But we are indeed very powerful. We are one of the few advanced Daoist civilizations capable of continued breakthroughs. Unlike those fallen Ninth-Tier civilizations, we possess a broader future."

"Still don't understand."

"You will understand in time. We are quite curious about your spatial orbital cannons, as we naturally possess a similar ability."

"What ability?"

"Time."

"What?"

"Have you not realized? From the moment our conversation began until now, only 0.3 seconds have passed."
