Chapter 1402: Step into the Emperor's Path

Even the stone jar moved, which was quite rare. It was humming and vibrating slightly, displaying such an unusual reaction.

Chu Feng realized that something big and truly terrifying was about to happen.

He held his breath, concentrating intensely. His eyes blazed with fiery light, and golden symbols shone brightly. He dared not miss the slightest movement, fixating on the bottom of the stone furnace ahead.

Flames surged like a sea, and immortal light billowed. The entire stone furnace resonated with the divine sound of the Great Dao, as symbols of order shimmered.

Furthermore, suns, moons, and stars appeared within the furnace. One by one, crimson and deep purple planets rumbled and spun, their deafening roar echoing.

"It's coming out!" Chu Feng's pupils constricted as he stared ahead. With a rustling sound, two ethereal orbs of light emerged simultaneously, intertwining and devouring each other. The sight was utterly terrifying.

One orb of light disintegrated space and melted the heavens and earth, as if intent on splitting the entire world apart, crushing it into fragments, and dividing it into nine heavens and ten earths.

The other orb of light was accompanied by a rain of light, representing the accumulation of time, the power of eons dancing, seemingly capable of burning down the long river of eternal time.

What kind of strange light orbs were these? The two orbs intertwined, appearing to be opposing yet two sides of the same coin, originally a single entity separated.

"Is this the supreme fire from beyond the thirty-three heavens?" Chu Feng wondered with surprise, his gaze fixed on the front.

He held the stone jar, his body tensed, on high alert.

Legend had it that the fire light fell from beyond the heavens, creating the entire geographical formation of the Grand Supreme Bagua Furnace. Was what he saw now the so-called ultimate source?

However, this fire source was too small; even intertwined, the two orbs were only the size of a baby's fist, appearing somewhat "weak."

Yet, Chu Feng would never underestimate it, nor dared to. How could something that made the stone jar hum softly be an ordinary object?

"Could it... could it be those two legendary flames?!" Chu Feng frowned, genuinely nervous. This was like encountering a "true god," witnessing the origin of a great catastrophe!

The two orbs of fire light, together less than the size of a baby's fist, suddenly pulsed violently at the bottom of the stone furnace, threatening to collapse the heavens and earth. Space and time fragments danced together, then abruptly transformed into a shower of light and surged towards him.

Chu Feng felt overwhelmed and immediately entered the stone jar, certain he couldn't possibly contend with this.

If it was indeed the hypothesized fire source, not only he but even powerful beings would be reduced to ashes. It could incinerate star seas, obliterate all living things, and scorch the heavens and earth.

The moment the stone jar closed, the fiery light instantly rushed forward, forming a thin layer that enveloped the jar, burning intensely!

The heavens and earth thundered. The crimson and deep purple planets that had appeared nearby, along with the rules of the Great Dao, all trembled and then disintegrated. Nothing could withstand such intense fire. Even the other flames originally in the stone furnace were extinguished by the impact, and the chaotic lightning withered and vanished.

The stone jar vibrated, emitting dazzling light, a result of the two fiery orbs merging and entwining upon its surface.

The stone jar hummed, and Chu Feng inside felt a violent tremor. Then he perceived a searing energy burning his body, causing him sharp pain.

How was this possible? He was still inside the stone jar, yet already experiencing this!

Then, Chu Feng saw the truth: one side of the stone jar had been burned so clear and translucent that it was nearly transparent. He could see the fiery light adhering to that surface.

The stone jar itself was glowing and emitting intense energy fluctuations, which destabilized its interior and caused the temperature to rise continuously.

Chu Feng wiped away a cold sweat, realizing it wasn't the fire light burning its way in, but rather the stone jar itself emitting waves, its energy circulation causing internal changes.

However, for the stone jar to react this way, it was clear that the two merged orbs of fire light were unimaginable, extraordinarily terrifying, and absolutely defied all natural laws.

Such matter and energy, capable of causing such profound changes in the stone jar, were exceedingly rare.

As the fiery light burned, spatial fragments, like blades of the Heavenly Dao, continuously slashed, causing sparks to fly from the stone jar. Furthermore, the power of time emerged, transforming into grinding stones and sharp blades, powerfully crushing and causing the stone jar to tremble violently.

Chu Feng was dumbfounded. This was the power of space and time, one of the most potent energy combinations within the Dao. If it truly struck a living being, it would undoubtedly turn them into nothingness for all eternity!

And now, the Dao of space and the supreme energy of time had all struck the stone jar!

No wonder the stone jar autonomously generated unique hot waves, something unprecedented; it was because it was under attack from that special fiery light.

"As expected of the supreme fire from beyond the thirty-three heavens!" Chu Feng sighed.

He already knew what kind of fire it was; the evidence was too clear, his conjecture had come true.

"The Flame of Great Void and the Fire of Primordial Eons!"

Chu Feng's expression was complex. Through the translucent stone wall, he saw a layer of fire light and was certain it was those two supreme substances. Apart from them, no other flame could compare or shake the stone jar!

"Those whom heaven cannot bury, interred amidst the floating dust of the four poles, gather yin and yang as fuel, summon the Flame of Great Void, absorb the Fire of Primordial Eons, and burn them!"

Chu Feng would never forget these words; they had profoundly shocked him at the time.

At the Immortal Heavenfall Waterfall, the Time Furnace, a unique ancient artifact sold by the Western Heaven Organization, had once displayed an ominous phenomenon.

Back then, Chu Feng, holding soil obtained from the ultimate land of the Samsara Seed, heard that strange, demonic sound from within the ancient, fist-high furnace. At the same time, when he reached in, it felt as if a black hand had grabbed him, leaving a terrifying black imprint.

Now, he was actually witnessing with his own eyes those two flames, which had been unseen throughout history and of which few had even heard legends!

"The Time Furnace is an ominous artifact. All beings who obtained it throughout history died mysteriously, even the notorious Black Hand Li of old vanished without a trace."

"I heard that the Martial Lunatic accidentally acquired a wisp of the Flame of Great Void, cherishing it as his life. Yet here today, both are complete, with the two supreme fires intertwined!"

Clang! Clang!

The power of space, like a heavenly blade, furiously hacked, causing the stone jar to tremble violently. Meanwhile, the wheel of time rotated, grinding the heavens and earth into twisted collapse. It adhered to the stone jar, launching a frenzied assault.

Cold sweat ran down Chu Feng's back. Had he not possessed the stone jar, how could he possibly have survived? This so-called main furnace was a place of certain death!

Even terrifying existences surpassing mighty beings would have to suffer defeat here; there was no doubt. This was the most absolute of deadly grounds!

"Boom!"

Another violent tremor resounded, like the resounding of a grand bell shaking three thousand worlds, as if boundless darkness was torn apart, and light shone through all eternity!

Sparks flew from the stone jar, symbols of the Great Dao scattered, and divine chains of order intertwined and then melted away. The scene was horrifying.

Chu Feng frowned, worried about damage to the stone jar.

However, moments later, his brow quickly relaxed. The so-called sparks and shattered Dao symbols were all originating from the fiery light, not the stone jar itself.

He carefully observed the translucent jar wall with his Super Fiery Golden Eyes, discovering it was undamaged, robust, imperishable, and indestructible throughout history.

Nevertheless, it also underwent a change: patterns appeared on its crystalline, transparent side. These were vast geological formations, all legendary supreme ominous lands from throughout heaven and earth.

Chu Feng had seen them before, but never with such clarity, as if he were truly there, transported into magnificent landscapes, one after another.

These formations included the Grand Supreme Bagua Furnace formation, and naturally, other terrains that were no weaker, and even stronger, than the Grand Supreme formation!

For example, the Head-Severing Peak of the Immortal Master, the Great Rift Valley of Nine Heavens Collapse, and the True Spirit-Nurturing Land of Chaos, as recorded in prehistoric texts!

These formations clearly emerged, as if one had traveled to prehistoric times, to that special era. They contained immense danger and harbored secrets that had remained unsolved for eons.

Chu Feng frowned. He had once believed these formations were all supreme death zones of the Yang Realm, but now he had a feeling they originated from various heavens and realms.

For instance, the Grand Supreme formation resulted from something falling from beyond the thirty-three heavens!

"Huh?!"

The next moment, Chu Feng was horrified. He saw that all the formations were bathed in a faint crimson glow, then became bloody—the true blood of unfathomable beings.

Various supreme formations were bathed in extraordinary blood!

"What is this?!"

Chu Feng's Fiery Golden Eyes constricted. Deeply shocked, he saw glimpses of past events, ancient occurrences that took place within those terrifying mountains.

"Emperors!"

As Chu Feng's eyes opened and closed, golden light shone like a rainbow, and flames scorched the sky. He saw figure after figure appearing within their respective supreme ominous mountain and river formations.

These were unimaginable beings; it was impossible to discern which ancient era or epoch they belonged to, making verification impossible.

However, the aura they emitted and the ripples they cast now reflected the past, present, and future, traversing through countless epochs. It was utterly terrifying.

What other beings could they be, if not supreme ultimate evolutionaries?

Within the Yang Realm, in this ancient history, ultimate evolutionaries were always unseen, unable to appear. Yet, each of the mountain and river formations depicted on this stone jar had once harbored one!

"Is this truly a condensation of special terrains from various heavens and realms, or is it meant to display the most powerful beings of all eras?"

Chu Feng was both shocked and bewildered, his mind reeling with turbulent thoughts.

This stone jar was too mysterious. It traversed countless epochs, etching the figures of ultimate beings from various realms, yet it seemed... they were all dead!

The so-called crimson glow and the blood bathing the mountains were all theirs!

Ninety percent of them had never met each other, belonging to different epochs, yet all had once been supreme ultimate beings.

"It's him!"

Suddenly, Chu Feng saw a "familiar face."

More precisely, it was a being he had once seen across time and space: the owner of the black behemoth, the terrifying expert whose corpse lay on the broken bell. Indeed, he too had bled in one of the great ominous mountain formations.

Chu Feng's breathing grew shallow. He eagerly observed, wanting to see if there were others—the owner of the bronze coffin floating in the starry sky, and that other mysterious person whom Number Nine had worshipped, who had severed eternity with a single sword stroke.

However, at that moment, the blood-bathed mountains blurred again, preventing him from seeing them clearly.

Yet, as he stared at a particular mountain range, he felt a certain sensation!

"That is..."

He randomly fixed his gaze on a spot and heard a voice: "I was born before the Immortal Ancient Era; the true netherworld had already taken shape..."

Unfortunately, Chu Feng only heard the beginning before it ceased.

Before the Immortal Ancient Era, what period was that? He vaguely recalled Number Nine mentioning it casually—an exceptionally ancient epoch.

The voice stopped because the evolutionary in question seemed to have been attacked, suffering an unexpected and sudden death in that mountain range!

Cold sweat drenched Chu Feng's body. So many formations, each standing with a supreme expert, mostly from different epochs—were they all dead? Recorded by the stone jar?!

He found it hard to believe. What was this stone jar? It recorded ultimate supreme beings from all eras, spanning through the epochs of emperors. Had it witnessed the bloody scenes of their demise?

"I want to see the truth!" Chu Feng growled.

Was the stone jar a witness? Recording emperors, traversing ancient and modern times, walking through blood!
