No one perceived it, but a coffin arrived from outside the Yang realm. Covered in verdigris and bearing the marks of time, it had seemingly drifted through unknown regions for countless years. Now, as if guided or perhaps steered, it slowly approached, appearing poised to crash onto the lands of the Yang realm!
“Why do I feel so uneasy? Is something else major going to happen today?!” the Dog Emperor wondered suspiciously, looking up at the sky, then towards the Soul River.
“Could it be that they’re really going to flatten the Soul River, completely wiping it out?” the Rotten Corpse whispered.
It was very possible. If that person truly returned, it would likely mean the complete destruction of this place. Back then, that person's achievements were too glorious; they advanced, sweeping aside all enemies. They couldn't help but wonder if this would be the battle to decide everything, crushing the source of the strangeness.
Looking from afar, a line of golden footprints was remarkably distinct in the void above the Soul River. Imprinted there, they were indestructible, with sacred light rain falling in sheets, bringing tranquility to the mind.
“That person is truly too powerful! Even a pair of footprints can be like this, bringing a sense of peace. I wish I could have lived in the same era as them, to look up to their presence!” the bald man sighed.
“Let’s continue to retreat and get away from here!” Jiudao Yi said.
The Dog Emperor said, “Actually, it won’t make much difference. If that person succeeds, the ultimate strange source will be annihilated. If not, the Supremes will likely retaliate, and there won’t be anywhere safe for us to hide.”
At that moment, they prayed in their hearts that that person would definitely suppress and kill several Supreme beings.
“It’s not their true body after all; otherwise, we wouldn’t feel so uncertain,” the Rotten Corpse stated.
They were somewhat nervous, watching the Soul River and awaiting the final outcome.
Some matters, they had heard about. At the very least, Jiudao Yi knew part of the truth. Several epochs ago, that person, alone, dared to excavate the ancient Samsara Road, intending to unearth the ancient Underworld, and even tried to fill in the Soul River! Unfortunately, they ultimately failed to achieve their wish. A sudden change occurred during that period, and they left too quickly. No one knew why, but they were never seen in the world again. Even Jiudao Yi didn't understand, and each time he recalled it, he felt disheartened. That person's expression was very unusual when they left back then.
Jiudao Yi worried that something might have happened to that person. Some said that a shocking and unimaginably terrifying event had occurred above the Heavens, and that person had to rush there. Others said that the ancient Underworld and the Soul River actually shared a common origin, a similar background, and required a great sacrifice at the end of each epoch. Some even suggested that the original source that person sought was not in the myriad realms or among the heavens; there was simply no specific time or space that could be reached.
“Old Skin, you must have heard many rumors. Tell us some and let’s see which one is more reliable,” the Rotten Corpse said.
Jiudao Yi’s gaze deepened again, and he indeed spoke. “Rumor has it that in order to approach an… original source, they intended to simultaneously rotate the Samsara of the Heavens and the Underworld, allowing both heaven and earth and themselves to enter Samsara. This… is very disturbing and difficult to comprehend. The being who spread this rumor died in the Chaotic Ancient Era.”
This news was astonishing: there was also Samsara above the Heavens?!
“Of course, there are also those who say they were too powerful, and beings from an indescribable place feared them, having to pay a huge price, using themselves as bait to lure them above the Heavens.”
Clearly, there was an unfathomable power above the Heavens that might pose a threat to that person!
The Dog Emperor and the Rotten Corpse gasped. What had happened in the past? It felt like the waters were too deep, enough to engulf the sea of myriad realms.
“Recalling the past, I believe I was once brothers with that person, perhaps even buried by them, but now I’ve forgotten everything,” the Rotten Corpse sighed.
Regarding the Rotten Corpse, it was indeed an exceptionally unique existence. Its strength had always fluctuated greatly; they had experienced several epochs, living for an incredibly long time. There were some issues with them, mainly that they had “fault lines” through many eras. The so-called fault lines meant that they had been “buried” all along; in a sense, they might have died long ago. This was their unique characteristic: their soul light had been extinguished, so strictly speaking, they had indeed died. However, their physical body had endured, remaining unchanged from ancient times to the present. Although buried more than once, their physical body had revived multiple times, nurturing new soul light and forming a new self. Therefore, they were very unusual and special; their physical body had too many things etched onto it, and activating some of these imprints would lead to strange occurrences.
When they said this, even the Dog Emperor was staring at them, eyes glowing green. As for Jiudao Yi, it went without saying that they must have had interactions with them in the most ancient era.
The Rotten Corpse glared, saying, “What are you staring at? Haven’t you seen such a vigorous, handsome young man before?”
Hearing this, the Dog Emperor grinned broadly and laughed, “You old cured meat, you’re rotten and stinking; how dare you say such things?” Its mouth full of broken fangs, its grin stretched to its ears when it laughed.
The Rotten Corpse’s face instantly darkened. For countless eras, this dog had always antagonized them. Soon, they frowned again, worried about certain things.
“There’s likely something wrong with this body of mine. You see, all my cultivation is here. I’m different from others; being buried is like sleeping, accumulating many imprints on my body. It shouldn’t be like this.”
The Rotten Corpse was worried; this was a very serious problem. In a sense, their physical body was more important than their soul light. The accumulation of countless years was unimaginable; calling their body defying heaven would not be an exaggeration. However, their physical body had decayed, which made it serious.
“Even inauspicious matter shouldn’t be able to corrode me like this. Is this even my physical body anymore?” the Rotten Corpse suspected, feeling a sense of unease.
Unfortunately, someone who didn't understand their past always suspected that the Rotten Corpse, even if not their own son, was related to their son! That’s right, it was Chu Feng who harbored this suspicion. If the Rotten Corpse knew this, they would either die of anger or vomit blood.
From beneath the abyss, violent energy fluctuations emanated. Had it not been for the Soul River’s obstruction, destructive shockwaves would likely have formed, shaking the foundations of all heavens and myriad realms. Fortunately, that area was isolated from the outside world. Even so, the Dog Emperor, Jiudao Yi, and others still looked solemn, anticipating the gravity of the situation. Would everything come to an end today?
“Retreat further!” They quickly pulled back.
In fact, the situation was more terrifying than they imagined. Beneath the abyss was chaos, extending through the past, a blurred realm transcendent of the mundane world. The powerhouses of the ancient Underworld and the monsters from the Heavenly Emperor Burial Pit were now all coughing up large amounts of blood, nearly exploding themselves. The Eight-Headed Supreme’s face was even paler. This was… too terrifying!
“I told you, don’t overthink it, don’t have reckless thoughts, or something big will happen!” a stern voice came from the cocoon, which now had several cracks.
In the distance, those two feet remained, ignoring them. The golden footprints left in the void grew increasingly sacred and peaceful. As for this blurred realm, it had actually collapsed by more than half! It was all because the Eight-Headed Supreme and the old monster from the Heavenly Emperor Burial Pit couldn’t resist. They wanted to launch an attack, using this blurred realm to ambush that person. They were truly afraid; it seemed as if that person’s form above the ankles was also condensing, about to truly reappear, and in a daze, a sigh seemed to emanate. Most critically, the two feet finally stopped, not entering the so-called sacrificial ground, nor attempting any so-called suicidal breakthroughs. They worried that if this person remained here, they would gradually solidify and truly emerge, which would be terrifying. This blurred realm was extraordinarily transcendent, possessing unimaginable power, inscribed with supreme killing fields, said to be able to strangle all invading enemies.
However, they failed! When the field here was quickly activated, runes filled the sky, killing intent was like a sea, and all kinds of supreme offensive techniques from ancient times to the present were unleashed, fully manifesting and erupting. But what did they see? Those two feet seemed to walk through the ages, strolling upon the river of time, becoming light particles with one thought, and then transforming back into that person’s feet with another, invulnerable to any law, technique, or Dao! Moreover, when those two feet suddenly glowed and forcefully stepped down, the field, reputed to be the most powerful here, shattered and disintegrated, causing the Supreme beings to suffer backlash. This was extremely daunting. Those feet shattered the place, remaining unharmed themselves, and even the golden footprints left in the void were still sacred, with brilliant, indestructible light rain.
What state was he in? Even the Eight-Headed Supreme felt a chill. Strong as they were, even united, they couldn’t destroy a pair of feet? The only consolation was that those two feet weren’t targeting them. After a brief stop, they began moving forward again. Did they still intend to go to the main sacrificial ground?
“He didn’t see us?” the monster from the Heavenly Emperor Burial Pit showed a strange expression.
“There’s indeed a problem. I now have a certain suspicion!”
The powerhouse of the ancient Underworld had eerie eyes, emitting wisps of black matter, like thick smoke or black fire. Staring at those two feet, they formed a conjecture. “After so many years, there has been no news of him, which is somewhat abnormal. I suspect he might have died in that terrifying place beyond the heavens. I believe he might no longer be in the world; his current state is very wrong.” In fact, they believed the reason there were only two feet was that that person might have died in battle! In the end, only two feet remained undestroyed, lost beyond the heavens. Therefore, ultimately, only two feet manifested, forming golden footprints in the void.
The others gasped upon hearing this, then their eyes deepened. They felt considerably relieved. If that were the case, it would be for the best.
A voice came from the cocoon: “Is he dead? I always found his state very strange. How could he simply fade from our minds? Even we have blurred perceptions of his past. If not for some ancient artifacts and traces as proof, perhaps everything about him would cease to exist, with no memory left.”
This was terrifying. What kind of beings were they? All were Supremes! Yet, they couldn’t even retain a single person’s memory, which seemed strange and extremely abnormal.
“Thinking about it now, their cultivation method was special, their origin strange, and most importantly, they… might already be dead!” the Eight-Headed Supreme whispered. As he finished, his eyes gleamed, and he became increasingly confident. “That’s right, they might have been killed by indescribable beings, and most traces of them erased, forcibly removed from all heavens and realms, so they can never reappear, truly dead.”
The heavens and earth fell silent. The Supreme beings became increasingly convinced that something had happened to that person! That person had most likely truly died.
The monster from the Heavenly Emperor Burial Pit spoke, saying, “Even the greatest beings must die. To think that someone hailed as invincible throughout history might have perished long ago. The realm above the Heavens is indeed terrifying!”
However, just as they whispered and secretly rejoiced, a rumble came from the distance. To their horror, this blurred realm was cracking, disintegrating, and about to explode! What were those two feet doing? How strong had they become? They had completely stepped through this unreal time-space, intending to cross afar.
“They’re still going to the main sacrificial ground?!”
To their surprise, those two feet were ridiculously powerful; their strength could no longer be calculated by the Great Dao; it was simply too terrifying. Most critically, those two feet were constantly enlarging. In an instant, they covered the entire blurred realm, leaving them no time to react, engulfing everyone beneath them. Was this meant to kill all of them?! They ignored them earlier, but now they wanted to wipe them all out?
“Quick, activate the sacrificial ground runes in your blood!” someone shouted. Otherwise, no one knew what would happen. Those two feet were too terrifying; their energy level was difficult to accurately estimate. The Great Dao itself dimmed beneath them, consumed by the golden footprints.
Boom!
Those two feet descended, and several figures dimmed and vanished, leaving behind several pools of blood in the void, all from Supreme beings. Those two feet pierced through the blurred realm and disappeared! Only a line of golden footprints remained here, scattering sacred light rain. Beyond the blurred realm, beyond the scope of space-time, in that unknown place, faint golden footprints still moved away!
This was terrifying. Just as the Supreme beings said, that person charged towards the main sacrificial ground, going alone to an unfathomable place—a suicidal breakthrough. Heaven and earth fell silent; there was no sound here. The blurred realm was shattered beyond recognition.
After an unknown period, a cocoon appeared, covered in cracks and even oozing wisps of Supreme true blood. It emerged from an unknown place. Subsequently, the Eight-Headed Supreme also struggled out, covered in blood and looking disheveled. Not far away, the other monsters also returned, all wounded and bloody. Or rather, old wounds had flared up, and the injuries from the great battle of yesteryear had fully erupted.
“They weren’t trying to massacre us; they seemed to lack that awareness. They just wanted to enter the main sacrificial ground.”
“Were our conjectures wrong? If a person was killed, leaving only two feet, how could they be so strong and so intent on forcing their way into the main sacrificial ground?”
“Then what state are they in now? Part of their true body?!”
The few of them were extremely serious; the matter was of great importance. Had they not activated the sacrificial ground runes in their blood, allowing them to temporarily detach from the heavens and transcend for a moment, they wouldn’t have known what might have happened just now. At this moment, different substances were emerging from their bodies. Some had dense gray matter on their bodies, outlining mysterious patterns. Other Supreme beings had black blood-like substances spreading over their bodies, resembling ancient sacrificial texts. Even the cocoon had silver patterns, which appeared somewhat brilliant but gave off an extremely ominous and chilling sensation. These were the strange substances they had accumulated, corresponding to their different terrifying backgrounds and representing different ominous sources!
“It wasn’t their true body!” a voice came from the cocoon.
“But why was it so strong?” the Eight-Headed Supreme questioned. What exactly was it?
“They were originally very powerful back then, beyond comprehension. Coupled with their unique cultivation method, they were truly difficult to contend with,” the cocoon said.
The monster from the Heavenly Emperor Burial Pit also spoke at this point, blood foam dripping from its mouth. It was even more terrifying than the unnamable, and it made a guess. “Before they left back then, their battle power was unmatched. They once sought the source of the Soul River, excavated the ancient Underworld, and then traversed time and space, appearing in various eras. These are the energy particles they left behind then, traces of their Great Dao, which are now converging.”
This judgment made them gasp. The sacred particles left by that person, the matter remaining in various time-spaces, could be like this; it was truly horrifying. Even the Supremes were moved, their expressions changing drastically.
“Those two feet had no consciousness. Everything was from ancient instincts. Today, our luck was truly terrible; we encountered it unexpectedly activated!” All the Supreme beings present looked grim. That person was searching for the original source, wanting to go to the main sacrificial ground! Everyone’s pupils contracted. Even as Supremes, they were extremely wary, unwilling to mention or even think much about that place.
After a long time, the monster from the ancient Underworld finally spoke, saying, “Let them go. It’s destined to be suicide. It has always been this way through the ages; no being has ever succeeded.”
“Indeed, I believe there were beings of that level who tried to explore it back then and met a tragic end,” the Eight-Headed Supreme nodded.
“Precisely. Didn’t someone like that exist beyond the world’s oceans in the past? They died terribly.” A cold wind blew, and ashes floated everywhere, filling the sky. Unnoticed, another horrifying being appeared in the field, oozing ominous substances and covered in a special type of soil. It came from beneath the Four Poles’ Floating Earth; generally, beings from there rarely emerge, but today was an exception!
However, what awaited it was a reprimand!
“Silence!”
“Do not mention that old matter again!”
Undoubtedly, too much had happened back then. Some things could not be spoken of, or mentioned carelessly, otherwise, they would involve the main sacrificial ground. The area grew quiet, with no further sound.
The blurred realm was very special, healing itself, because it was not originally a real time-space, but a small area of the main sacrificial ground reflected down! The Supreme beings were all staring at the end of the blurred realm. Beyond that, the golden footprints left by the departing feet were fading, even on the verge of disappearing.
“Did they suffer a calamity?!” Someone’s pupils shot out sharp light, instantly becoming excited.
“Prepare yourselves. The new epoch will begin. All heavens will cease to exist, myriad realms will wither, and the great sacrifice is about to commence!” the Supreme being from the ancient Underworld said indifferently.
“Let’s wait a little longer, to see if that person completely dissipates!” the cocoon said. Although those two feet were sacred particles left by that person in the past, a condensation of their aura and Dao traces, manifesting through observation of ancient and modern times, still, they regarded them with extreme importance! Appearing from the river of time, scattered throughout various eras, observing past, present, and future—that person made even the Supreme beings somewhat incomprehensible, instilling fear in their hearts.
Sure enough, outside the blurred realm, in the gray area leading to the main sacrificial ground, that line of golden footprints was fading, disappearing, indeed about to completely scatter!
“Excellent. Let’s get ready. We’ll write the sacrificial texts soon, and the curtain for the new epoch will rise!” the powerhouse of the ancient Underworld spoke, their voice cold and utterly merciless. Soon, they would be on the move!
Outside, the atmosphere was also tense. Today, all heavenly domains felt an inexplicable oppression, especially the powerhouses, who sensed the approach of doomsday. Some families that had existed for ages and remained undying were now preparing, in full swing, taking various actions to seek refuge! For example, the Buddhist clan, which had survived from the previous epoch. The Buddhist clan had Heaven-Opening elders who originated from the last epoch. At the beginning of this epoch, they broke open the ancient temple that preserved the sparks of life, saw the light of day, allowing the Buddhist clan to revive and once again walk the world. But such clans were extremely rare. Even if the sparks of life could be preserved, they would have to start anew in the next epoch. Moreover, even if they could avoid the great calamity of one epoch, how could they guarantee to escape the great calamity of the next? Searching all heavens, there were no perpetually immortal orthodoxies, no families that could remain safe in every epoch, unless… they were servant clans of the strange source! Otherwise, enduring for two or three epochs was the limit. This was the result even when looking across the entire river of time, including the strongest races from all eras. It should be known that even the Heavenly Court had fallen. What orthodoxy in this world could compare to the Heavenly Court of yesteryear?
At this moment, the Dog Emperor and Jiudao Yi were also very nervous, awaiting the final outcome.
“If we win, there will be peace for ten thousand generations, and our great revenge, along with the sorrow of the Heavenly Court, will be avenged!” the bald man said solemnly.
The Rotten Corpse sighed, “If we lose, all methods will be void, all Daos will collapse, the heavens will cease to exist, and you and I will naturally turn to ashes, completely unable to fight back, without a shred of hope, only able to await successors from epochs unknown.” But where would they be then? Long since turned to cosmic dust. No one would know their names, nor their past. All ages would be empty.
Hearing this, Chu Feng felt an emptiness, and even the sky seemed to dim. He didn’t want to die yet. After arriving in the Yang realm, there were many people he hadn’t found or met. He didn’t want to perish with this world, carrying regrets. Therefore, the next moment he fixed his gaze on the Rotten Corpse. No matter how he looked at it, its soul light resembled his son, the little Daoist. Then, Chu Feng’s gaze changed, becoming somewhat fervent and also somewhat affectionate.
“What the… what are you looking at?” The Rotten Corpse felt a chill down its spine. What kind of person were they? Their senses were too keen; they immediately detected the anomaly, feeling that strange gaze, and became uncomfortable all over. “Confucius says, what kind of look is that? So kindly, you… sicko!” the Rotten Corpse grumbled inwardly, feeling uneasy under the gaze. This powerful figure in the great mist had helped them immensely today, and they hadn’t even properly thanked him yet. But why were they looking at them like that? The Rotten Corpse found it increasingly strange, finally getting a bit bristly.
“What do you want to do? What’s wrong with you?!” they cautiously retreated a few steps, speaking very seriously.
“This epoch might be sinking. Before doomsday arrives, I want to clarify some things,” Chu Feng said, walking towards them.
“Yes, some things should be clarified. May I ask, who exactly are you?” the Rotten Corpse asked. Who was this master, after all? In their view, there were only a limited number of such powerful beings in heaven and earth. Supremes were not something one could casually encounter; apart from those at the strange source, they were almost never seen. They were very solemn, with a touch of reverence, thinking that this figure in the great mist must be a peerless hero of all time.
Chu Feng sighed, took a few more steps forward, staring at them endlessly, saying, “No mistake. The soul light properties are consistent, the fluctuations are consistent, the imprints are consistent. It’s you.”
“Me? What’s going on? What do you want to say?” the Rotten Corpse was suspicious.
The others also showed strange expressions, somewhat puzzled.
“Do you want me to tell the truth?” Chu Feng asked.
“Of course, whatever it is, just say it!” the Rotten Corpse patted its chest, indicating it could accept anything. After all, they had a good impression of this man in the great mist; daring to act to save people in such circumstances was worthy of respect.
Chu Feng said, “Alright, I’ll say it then.”
“Go on,” the Rotten Corpse stood tall, back straight.
“I feel… you’re like my son,” Chu Feng whispered.
“Confucius says! Laozi says! What the hell, what the blazes, what in the absolute—!” the Rotten Corpse exploded, its face turning black, nearly bursting into curses. “I respected you as a figure, but you want to be my father? I’ll kill you!” They almost exploded on the spot. For so many years, across more than one epoch, no one had dared to take advantage of them. It should be known that they had called several Heavenly Emperors brothers. Now, some unknown person appeared, stared directly at them, pointed at their nose, and wanted to claim them as their son. This… was simply intolerable! The Rotten Corpse’s nose began to puff out white smoke, and eventually, even its ears started to emit thick smoke. They were about to catch fire; this was truly too much.
The Dog Emperor, Jiudao Yi, Li, and others were all dumbfounded. What sin had Brother Rotten Corpse committed to acquire a… father like this?!
The Rotten Corpse at this moment finally understood why the man in the great mist always looked at them with such a kind and loving expression; it wasn’t their imagination. Damn it, it was real! This person was genuinely looking at them with the eyes of a father!
The Rotten Corpse couldn’t take it anymore. They stomped their foot, pointing at Chu Feng, looking ready to fight to the death! Their face was black and green, almost dying from anger. If they didn’t feel they couldn’t beat the other party, they would have genuinely wanted to just kill them.
“Why are you glaring at me? I never lie in my life; you truly resemble my son. However, there might be complexities and other reasons behind this. Let’s discuss it,” Chu Feng said seriously. Of course, he also had a slip of the tongue; he meant “resembles” in terms of soul light, but the Rotten Corpse naturally assumed the person meant their physical body resembled their son.
At this moment, the Rotten Corpse suddenly thought of the past, of things too distant. They had been buried by others, their soul light changed several times, but only their physical body remained indestructible. A long time ago, they vaguely remembered a master, like an old father, who had predicted that their physical body would be indestructible and would eventually achieve enlightenment one day. Could it be him returning? Unlikely. In such an ancient era, they naturally had parents and relatives. The Rotten Corpse’s mood was complex; this figure in the great mist seemed to have suddenly leaped out of ancient history, their origin truly somewhat strange. Someone so strong couldn’t possibly be without roots. Could it be that this was an old fellow from the most ancient times, truly possibly having some blood relation to them? For a brief moment, the Rotten Corpse was lost in wild thoughts, simultaneously wanting to kill the man in front of them and suspecting that they might actually have such an old father who had been dormant in the most ancient period and was now revived and re-emerged?
“Pah!” They quickly shook their head, feeling a bit ashamed. What were they thinking? They were so old; where would a father come from? Even their powerful master from back then had turned into cosmic dust!
The Rotten Corpse, face dark, said, “I warn you, don’t provoke me, don’t take advantage of me, or beware of heavenly thunder!”
Then… *Crack!* Sure enough, they were struck by heavenly thunder! But it was *them*! Many lightning bolts, crackling and popping, descended. Even their powerful physical body almost shattered, smoking all over.
“Confucius says! Laozi says! What the hell… do I *really* have a father like this?!” The Rotten Corpse went berserk! What was going on? What was this? They had just said that, and they were struck by lightning in return?
“Wake up, something’s happening!” The Dog Emperor slapped their head with a paw.
As for the others, they stood as if facing a great enemy, staring towards the Soul River. There, lightning flashed and thunder roared, with astonishing phenomena. Supreme beings walked out, carrying terrifying auras that struck fear into the world, making all heavens tremble and shiver.
The Rotten Corpse felt as if they had fallen into an ice cellar. Martial Emperor, Tai Yi, and others also felt chills throughout their bodies. In the end, the Supreme beings from beneath the abyss had emerged, but where was *that* person?! They were horrified, feeling that the end of the world had truly arrived!
“How is this possible?!” Jiudao Yi was shocked, trembling all over, not from fear, but from sorrow. Great grief filled his heart: that person personally descended into the abyss, yet couldn’t flatten the original source?! Or was that person temporarily trapped?!
The Dog Emperor, uncharacteristically, didn’t taunt but instead comforted Jiudao Yi, saying, “Don’t overthink it. Nothing will happen to that person. The enemies from the strange source can’t do anything to them. Besides, even if something does happen, it’s not their true body.”
“Right, it’s not their true body, no harm done!” Jiudao Yi calmed down.
In the distance, the gaze of a Supreme being swept over. The void exploded. With a clang, the Emperor Bell boomed, directly detonating. Had it not been for its protection, probably more than half of those present would have died! Chu Feng stepped forward, blocking at the very front, confronting the Supreme beings coldly and silently.
“What a pity that person didn’t kill those monsters!” the bald man sighed.
The Dog Emperor said grimly, “Don’t think too much about it. That person’s true body hasn’t returned. Ultimately, we have to rely on ourselves. Don’t expect such a pie in the sky; it’s simply unrealistic.”
At this moment, the Eight-Headed Supreme raised its eight hideous heads. Terrifying aura surged, sweeping towards the outer realms, knocking stars into dust and causing all heavens to rumble and shake, on the verge of collapse. It spoke, its voice shaking the heavens, saying, “Our premature revival means that many karmic ties have changed. Now, the new epoch has arrived, and the great sacrifice is about to begin!”
What did this mean? The undying families, the long-standing orthodoxies, all knew: the heavens would weep, blood would stain myriad realms, and everyone would die!
“Uncle-master, look!” the bald man nudged the Dog Emperor, secretly transmitting a message with his divine sense.
“Look at what?” The Dog Emperor wasn’t in the mood to entertain him.
“Something fell from the sky! It really might be a pie!” The bald man was exhilarated, trembling with excitement, because he recognized what it was.
All of this happened too quickly; someone used peerless magical power to conceal everything, blinding the Supreme beings’ divine senses. As the bald man transmitted his divine message, silently, an artifact reached the surface, then erupted with immeasurable divine light.
Puff! Puff! Puff…
Terrifying bloody light shot up! An artifact descended, beheading the Eight-Headed Supreme and simultaneously severing its eight heads, true blood soaring into the sky! At the same time, billions of sword qi erupted on the spot. The monster from the Heavenly Emperor Burial Pit and the Supreme powerhouses from the ancient Underworld all bled profusely, their bodies severed! Supreme true blood splattered everywhere!
“A giant flying sword, as wide as a coffin lid!” Li exclaimed.
“That’s right, it’s indeed as wide as a coffin lid!” the Rotten Corpse also cried out. At this moment, he forgot about being claimed as a son.
The Dog Emperor roared, “Isn’t that the bronze coffin lid?!”
“It’s really—the bronze coffin lid!” After a moment of daze, the Rotten Corpse was utterly shocked! A bronze coffin lid falling from the sky; after a brief recognition, how could they not know it? The Rotten Corpse’s lips trembled, their body shaking with excitement!
“Master!” the bald man roared, tears welling in his eyes. At this moment, he couldn’t help but kneel on the ground, looking up at the sky, his mighty roar shaking the heavens and earth, reverberating through the entire Yang realm!
