Chapter 4771: Wang Changsheng Leaves the Gate (No More for Today)

Time flowed, and five million years went by.

Chaos Continent, Azure Lotus Immortal Island.

On Azure Lotus Peak, the door to a secret chamber opened, and Wang Changsheng stepped out.

More than ten million years had passed since the Immortal-Chaos War concluded. Wang Changsheng had cultivated in seclusion for over ten million years, and his Origin Power was now more abundant, allowing him to consider developing his third Origin Law.

Dao Ancestor Qihong had previously given Wang Changsheng a Tier-5 grand formation, the Five-Element Immortal Transformation Array. With this array, ordinary Dao Ancestors could develop their first five Origin Laws without difficulty. However, for a Dao Ancestor like Wang Changsheng, who had already developed two Supreme Origin Laws, this array wouldn't be enough to support him through all five. Nevertheless, it was sufficient for him to develop his third Origin Law.

According to Dao Ancestor Qihong, the relics or ruins of the ancient Immortal Court contained immortal formations even more potent than the Five-Element Immortal Transformation Array, capable of assisting Dao Ancestors in developing even more Origin Laws.

Wang Changsheng had long since instructed his clansmen to keep an eye out for any relics or ruins of the ancient Immortal Court.

He walked out and found Wang Ruyan chatting with Wang Qingbai in a stone pavilion.

Wang Qingbai had already condensed his Dao Foundation and was preparing to develop his second Origin Law.

“Father, you’ve come out of seclusion,” Wang Qingbai greeted him with a smile.

“You’ve condensed your Dao Foundation, haven’t you? Is there some good news?” Wang Changsheng asked casually, walking closer.

“Qingbai condensed his Dao Foundation a while ago and has been cultivating in seclusion, preparing to develop his second Origin Law. This time, he intends to develop the Origin Law of Time, so he came to consult me,” Wang Ruyan explained.

“Father, Yi’er and the others discovered a contingency left by Dao Ancestor Fuyue in the Celestial Firmament Immortal Realm. It included two mid-grade Dao artifacts, over ten low-grade Dao artifacts, two sets of Tier-5 immortal formations, over eight thousand pieces of Tier-5 immortal materials, ten Tier-5 immortal talismans, and five bottles of Tier-5 immortal pills,” Wang Qingbai said excitedly.

“Dao Ancestor Fuyue again? By my count, we’ve found three of her contingencies now, haven’t we?” Wang Changsheng said.

“More than that, it’s four now! Before this, Yi’er and the others also discovered one of Dao Ancestor Fuyue’s contingencies somewhere at the bottom of the Miro Immortal Realm sea, gaining over three thousand pieces of Tier-5 immortal materials. The Tier-5 immortal materials obtained from all four of Dao Ancestor Fuyue’s contingencies now total over ten thousand pieces. The most precious items are the two mid-grade Dao artifacts, one of which is a defensive Dao artifact.”

“Indeed! Speaking of which, Dao Ancestor Fuyue is truly our lucky star. I wonder if she has any more contingencies left,” Wang Qingbai added.

“Two mid-grade Dao artifacts! And a defensive Dao artifact.” Wang Changsheng’s face showed delight. With this, his chances of developing his third Origin Law increased significantly.

“How were those two contingencies of Dao Ancestor Fuyue discovered?” Wang Changsheng asked curiously.

He knew that many Dao Ancestors from the Chaos Era had left contingencies, attempting to live on in future lives. However, if Dao Ancestor Fuyue were to return in a future life and find out the Wang family had discovered all four of her contingencies, he wondered what she would think.

Wang Ruyan briefly explained the situation. The Wang family had currently discovered four of Dao Ancestor Fuyue’s contingencies, two of which were related to Murong Xuan.

Wang Yi’er had made huge gains on Celestial Firmament Island, and the Wang family heavily rewarded Murong Xuan. Murong Xuan had already advanced to the Grand Unity Golden Immortal stage and cultivated an immortal body.

“So that’s how it is. It seems Murong Xuan has pretty good luck,” Wang Changsheng said with a smile.

“That’s not all. The old ancestor of the Daoist Wu family sent someone to contact us and delivered over three thousand pieces of Tier-5 immortal materials, in gratitude for our family’s protection.”

“The Daoist Wu family? An old ancestor?” Wang Changsheng was utterly bewildered.

“Husband, do you remember Yang Feng?”

“I remember him. Is he the Wu family’s old ancestor?” Wang Changsheng asked.

Wang Ruyan nodded and said, “The Wu family was a Daoist family in the Chaos Era. After the Great Dao War, they retreated from the world. The history of the Chaos Era compiled by Qiuting mentions the Wu family, stating that at its peak, it had over ten Dao Ancestors, making them one of the super forces of the Chaos Era. Wu Santong was the Wu family’s old ancestor and died in the Great Dao War. Yang Feng is his reincarnation. Thanks to our protection, he was able to cultivate smoothly to the Grand Unity Golden Immortal stage. He has now recovered his cultivation, but his exact whereabouts are unknown.”

“So that’s how it is,” Wang Changsheng mused. “I wonder if there are any other Dao Ancestors from the Chaos Era who have returned to life, especially within our family’s territory!”

“We can’t rule out that possibility,” Wang Ruyan replied. “Our family’s territory is too vast, so it wouldn’t be surprising if there were. By the way, husband, now that you’re out of seclusion, are you going to develop your third Origin Law?”

Wang Changsheng nodded and said, “That’s precisely my intention.” By his count, he had been a Dao Ancestor for over thirty million years.

Wang Ruyan took out a blue storage bracelet, handed it to Wang Changsheng, and said, “These are the good things Yi’er and the others found on Celestial Firmament Island. The defensive mid-grade Dao artifact is inside. The other mid-grade Dao artifact is a talisman brush, which I can use to improve my success rate when creating talismans.”

Dao Ancestor Fuyue was an immortal talisman master, so it was not surprising that she possessed a high-grade talisman brush. This worked out perfectly for Wang Ruyan.

“Among the more than ten low-grade Dao artifacts, there’s an alchemy cauldron,” Wang Qingbai added. “I’ve been using it for alchemy, and my success rate has already improved.”

Wang Changsheng nodded and said, “This is good news. It would be even better if we could find more contingencies left by Dao Ancestor Fuyue.”

“The Treasure Hunting Hall has been expanded,” Wang Ruyan mentioned. “A large number of personnel have been dispatched to various immortal realms. Perhaps they can find more of Dao Ancestor Fuyue’s contingencies.”

After chatting for over half an hour, Wang Qingbai took his leave. Wang Changsheng then sought a suitable location to attempt to develop his third Origin Law.

A secluded manor, adorned with pavilions, towers, and a garden of exotic stones.

Wang Yixin and Wang Lingyin were conversing. Wang Lingyin was currently at the late Grand Unity Golden Immortal stage.

She had been stuck at a bottleneck for several million years and had yet to overcome it.

“In a while, the old ancestor of the Dugu Immortal Clan will celebrate a grand birthday and hold a celebration. You should lead a team to attend. Many Grand Unity Golden Immortals will be there; it might be your chance to break through your bottleneck.”

“Yes, Old Ancestor Yixin,” Wang Lingyin agreed. She then thought of something and asked curiously, “Old Ancestor Yixin, it’s been over ten million years since the Immortal-Chaos War ended. Are we going to initiate another Immortal-Chaos War?”

“I’m not sure,” Wang Yixin replied. “This is something only the Old Ancestors can decide. If there is an Immortal-Chaos War, fighting Chaos Beasts of the same realm might also help you overcome your bottleneck. If an Immortal-Chaos War truly begins, I will definitely send you to battle.”

Wang Lingyin nodded. Just as she was about to say something, Wang Yixin took out a golden, shimmering Dharma disk, injected a magic incantation into it, and with a delighted expression, exclaimed, “Another contingency of Dao Ancestor Fuyue has been discovered?”

“Old Ancestor Yixin, I heard Old Ancestor Yi’er and the others mention that our family has already discovered four of Dao Ancestor Fuyue’s contingencies, haven’t we? How could there be a fifth one? This is too much of a coincidence!” Wang Lingyin asked doubtfully.

Others might not know, but she was the reincarnation of Dao Ancestor Fuyue. All the contingencies she had left behind had already been discovered; the Wang family alone had found four. Where would a fifth one come from?

“I’m not sure,” Wang Yixin replied. “The intelligence report says so, but what you said makes sense too. We must be cautious.”

“I’m stuck at a bottleneck. Let me make this trip,” Wang Lingyin volunteered. “Perhaps I can use this opportunity to break through my bottleneck.”

“Alright then,” Wang Yixin agreed. “I’ll have Dingyang, Xinghai, and the others go with you.” She used a communication disk to contact Wang Dingyang, Wang Xinghai, and others, asking them to accompany Wang Lingyin to the Purple Profound Immortal Realm. The Wang family had in-laws and peripheral organizations there that could assist.

Upon arriving at Azure Lotus Peak, Wang Yixin learned from Wang Tun Tian that Wang Changsheng had gone to develop his third Origin Law. She then led them to a secret chamber and used the Ruyi Gate to transport them to the Purple Profound Immortal Realm.
