Phoenix, the first to encounter the Nine-Tier Path and leave the Primordial World, had done so thousands of years ago. At this point, she had only completed her Nine-Tier Path a few hundred years ago, reaching the weak ninth tier and capable of advancing to the full ninth tier at any time. Being just over ten thousand years old, her progress was steady, if not exceptional. After all, deities rarely lived beyond ten thousand years, and top-tier geniuses typically completed the Nine-Tier Path within that timeframe, lest they succumb to old age. Phoenix, currently only at the weak ninth tier, was indeed a bit slow.

Emperor Qi, Caroline, and others had all taken shortcuts. Emperor Qi achieved enlightenment by cultivating three bodies simultaneously, and Caroline by achieving enlightenment in her dreams. Phoenix, however, took no shortcuts; she broke through the path by sheer force, which explained her slower pace. Furthermore, her information and cultivation methods were too ancient and isolated, having no contact with the outside world, thus failing to keep up with the times.

Yet, even as a weak ninth-tier being on the verge of breakthrough, and once the supreme Dao Lord of the Primordial World, she felt an unimaginable instability in her Dao Heart and a profound shock to her spirit. It was clear how immense this impact on her Dao Heart was. She had believed her life was one of freedom, only to discover it was merely a calculation! She had always lived within the enemy's camp, embracing a thief as her father! Even the most powerful being would experience a moment of spiritual instability, for the entire journey of her ten-thousand-year life had been utterly overturned!

She looked at the gentle, harmonious, and mysterious fifteen- or sixteen-year-old boy before her. Even after becoming a great enlightened being who transcended cosmic laws, she suddenly felt her own insignificance when confronted with the covert struggles of certain truly powerful, forbidden entities behind the scenes—as insignificant as an ant.

"I..." Phoenix's voice suddenly became unsteady.

Moon God Ji smiled and slowly approached. "Your talent is not bad, but you were reaching the end of your lifespan, nearing decrepitude. Why did the exalted beings of the Land of Gods never appear? Never help you?" Moon God Ji revealed a gentle smile. "Because you were merely a pawn in his transitional bloodline; your life or death meant nothing to him. Although his localized elemental bloodline wasn't entirely successful, it greatly diluted the elemental lineage and still produced a group of powerful innate ancient clans, such as Emperor Qi..."

Phoenix's heart buzzed once more.

"He plundered our bloodline, and I plundered his... This is a mutual war." Moon God Ji looked at her gently. "But you are one of our lost clansmen. Therefore, in the ethereal realm, I prayed to the ultimate conceptual existence of the universe, paying an immense price for an equivalent exchange to bring you back... and to let you open up another world. This world is... the Four Elemental Plane."

"The Four Elemental Plane!" Upon hearing this, Phoenix was utterly shaken. It was as if the mist had completely lifted, and the truth was finally revealed! So, the reason she could see the Creator God at the very end of her decrepit life wasn't because her devout pursuit of the Dao moved the universe, but because this ethereal being before her had prayed for her...

"I should have known..." Phoenix recalled that scene from thousands of years ago, suddenly feeling a surge of realization. "How many devout enlightened beings are there in the world? Why did the Great Dao descend only upon me, favoring me alone, and taking me away just before my demise? And why was I given such an astonishing opportunity to open up a new world for a second time?"

This was an equivalent exchange. The first time was an equivalent exchange from the enemy, a payment made with the hope of materializing her clan's bloodline, which was why she could see the Creator God. And the first descent, the scene that appeared, was this "Moon God Ji" before her, who had appeared to summon her back. She felt as if her life was being slowly stirred by two pairs of unfathomably deep, mysterious, and forbidden hands, engaged in a game centered around her.

"The ethereal... ultimate conceptual existence?" Beside them, the elemental remnants were slightly bewildered and confused upon hearing this. This term had been mentioned several times throughout their continuous history... always related to opening a new world, equivalent exchange, and summoning an ethereal existence...

"The ultimate conceptual existence of the universe?""What is that?""Could it be that there are cosmic mysteries not covered by our ancient inherited knowledge?"

In the various elemental caves far away, there was a bustling commotion. The leader and Al, among others, whispered to each other, discussing in secret. They found it incredible, but too many bizarre things had already happened, leaving them completely bewildered now.

"It might be difficult for you to accept this now, but that is the truth." Moon God Ji smiled and said, "We placed you in the Four Elemental Plane for thousands of years and never interfered because we believed you shouldn't know the truth while on the Nine-Tier Path, to avoid destabilizing your Dao Heart. Now that you have completed the Nine-Tier Path and are ready for a breakthrough... we are revealing the truth to you."

"At the same time, as you are on the Nine-Tier Path, facing your final breakthrough... we called you here to tell you one more thing: perfect your genetic path before making the breakthrough. Only then can you have a future."

Phoenix silently collected her thoughts. Four perfect genes? In reality, although she resided in the Sea of Consciousness and had previously taken over a human woman, she was also cultivating her true form's abilities. All three of her inherent flame energy genes had been cultivated. However, it was all self-exploration and self-cultivation. In fact, relying on her infinitely long lifespan, and even without knowing the limitations of breakthrough, she was indeed polishing her four genes; such was her slow nature. After all, she was never in a hurry to break through, and there were no enemies urging her to do so.

"You should still have one last gene, 'Phoenix Rebirth,' left uncultivated, correct?" Xu Zhi's expression was calm; he was well aware of her progress. "You are a mutated descendant of two races, and I cannot directly teach you... However, the energy and elemental system here should be of significant reference value. There are many ancient texts on elemental application here, accumulated over tens of thousands of years. You can examine them and refine your understanding, as fundamentally, there isn't much difference."

Phoenix nodded, now beginning to believe this. Xu Zhi, for his part, remained very calm. After all, he saw that Phoenix was about to break through and knew he had to intervene; otherwise, a breakthrough with imperfect genes would make it difficult for her to have a true future. And as a unique, special life form, without a common cultivation system, she could only rely on herself to explore the corresponding transcendent systems for all four of her genes. "Sometimes, the four innate genes, seemingly powerful... are also a disadvantage. The speed is slower than others at the same level," Xu Zhi thought, shaking his head inwardly. After all, there was no one to help deduce the transcendent system for her. Self-deduction would certainly be imperfect and carry certain disadvantages, but it was unavoidable.

"The Mother River Civilization?" At this point, Phoenix's expression became complex as she looked at the young Ji before her. "Then, what should I call you?"

"Well, by lineage, I am your grandfather," Moon God Ji replied with a smile. As he spoke, he looked out at the entire elemental tomb cavern and said, "You, and the Mother River Civilization... now develop separately, with her leading you into the future."

The entire populace cheered and rejoiced. Soon, they began to organize themselves, intending to integrate into the bloodline. Because this semi-elemental bloodline was very special, existing between two types, their elemental lives could also integrate into it.

"Are you ready? Have you truly decided?" Ji Yi looked at them and smiled, saying, "You should be aware that once you integrate this bloodline, you will no longer be pure elemental beings and will gain a fatal flaw."

"No problem!""We are doing this for the Mother River Civilization, for an elemental civilization that surpasses our ancestors'!" They cheered.

Meanwhile, Phoenix whispered softly to Moon God Ji, "I sense a stronger presence. Could it be more powerful members of our clan?"

"No," Moon God Ji said, his gaze distant and profound, devoid of joy or sorrow. "It is your descendants from back then, who have arrived in this ancient ruin."
