Urban Reality
In the midst of the cosmos, a massive, ancient gate shone with a sacred, aged radiance. The radiance pierced through galaxies, dazzling like a miniature supernova. Formed from the Great Dao, it was the ancient ultimate Gate to the World.
Inside the gate, as if a cosmic mirror, their faces were reflected. Yet, only their gaze pierced through the Dao Gate, revealing the ultimate end of the universe's Great Dao, the origin of all.
It was a dense cluster of branching offshoots, converging into an ancient, resplendent inverted pyramid tree. They became a part of these offshoots, eternally imprinted upon it.
"With this, we achieve enlightenment, our lives coeval with heaven and earth, our brilliance matching the sun and moon."
Within the minds of the Three Heavenly Venerates and Stone-Man Disc, as they gazed at the ancient tree, a profound realization suddenly dawned upon them.
Although they had long foreseen this, they had never truly reached this stage. Everything they experienced before their eyes was mysterious.
Now, an unprecedented clarity emerged within them. In the ethereal depths of their minds, a feeling of profound enlightenment arose. Their Dao Heart, from this moment, became utterly transparent and brilliant.
They had become one of the supreme ancient gods of this universe, ethereally embodying and representing a specific part of its laws.
“This is…”
Emperor Qi's pupils suddenly dilated, as if sensing an ethereal tremor within the heavens and earth.
“The very laws of the entire universe, at the instant of their breakthrough, underwent subtle changes. New Great Dao rules emerged. It was as if certain temporal laws were perfected, and the universe's rules were completed...”
“The parameters of absolute zero have changed…”
“Some of the operational parameters of time have been completed…”
This sensation was profound and subtle. It was as if a few grains of sand were added to an already complete giant mountain, making it even more perfect. Yet, because the resulting impact was so minute, it seemed as if nothing had changed at all.
Had they not been so close, this sensation would have been almost imperceptible.
For even more distant beings, it might seem as though nothing had changed, as if these new, subordinate branch rules had been present since the very beginning of the universe's creation, existing throughout all time.
And what are the universe's branch rules?
The melting point of metals. The boiling point of water. The maximum density of matter. The maximum speed of light.
These are all nearly fixed numerical thresholds...
“This is the Tenth Order Dao Culmination, the ultimate existence of the universe.”
Caroline stared blankly at the earth-shattering sight. The ancient beings stood in the cosmos, declaring in awe: “They have integrated their lifelong knowledge, solidifying their own Dao Culmination! And this culmination will ultimately become a part of the universe, existing eternally in the void. They now symbolize... eternal infinity!”
This is the Tenth Order; this is the ultimate.
A newly hatched infant, in the embrace of the Phoenix, gazed at the splendid cosmic spectacle.
“Everything is repeating itself.”
This five-gene elemental infant still remembered what its mother had told it, and the scenes from back then.
“Someone once said that water droplets were not originally round; they were like water droplet clouds, irregularly shaped, falling onto the earth one by one. Even planets were irregular, angular lumps of soil, like chaotic mounds.”
“Water droplets were like mist, planets like mounds of dirt, and the entire world was as chaotic and unkempt as uncultivated wilderness. Do you think that’s possible?”
“I think it is.”
A similar scene occurred back then: when the Ranimansgar Cosmic Garden broke through, its mother opened her eyes from within the ancient ruins, speaking the exact same words. The world initially was an extremely rudimentary tree, a crude embryo after the Big Bang, with only the main trunks of laws. It was perfected by subsequent beings who added lush branches, allowing it to grow into a towering, verdant tree.
The mother at that time believed the Ranimansgar Cosmic Garden still held hope, but never imagined it would still be destroyed.
“Right now, do they know the truth? In fact, not knowing is better; ultimately, they will embrace death happily,” this being from the ancient Abyssal Blue Divine Realm said calmly.
“Lord Moon God Ji, also a Weak Tenth Order, will find a way to intervene,” the Phoenix said earnestly.
“Will they?” It merely shook its head and smiled. Everything was destroyed; that future was not something a newly broken-through Weak Tenth Order could resist.
Listening to their nostalgic conversation.
In the orchard, Xu Zhi sat by the living room window, closing the book that chronicled the history of the sand table.
“Fortunately, we were quick to retreat, our army withdrawing. As long as we hide within the Zerg protective shield, nothing that happens will disturb us... I just don't know how things will develop; this battle situation is highly uncertain.” He looked at the magnificent meteor shower sky outside Earth, finally softly murmuring a string of numbers, “Weak Ninth Order Path 100.”
It was complete.
But for him, time was still too pressing.
After all, although he could already break through to the Ninth Order, there were still Low-Tier Ninth Order and Mid-Tier Ninth Order. Only upon reaching High-Tier Ninth Order could he step onto the Tenth Order path. However, he had no Tenth Order path; he would directly ascend to the weakest of the Weak Tenth Order.
Stone-Man Disc stood with hands clasped behind his back, ignoring Emperor Qi and the others beside him. He gazed at the Three Heavenly Venerates before him, as if they were his ultimate opponents.
“Is this the culmination of the Great Dao? We have all condensed our own Dao Culmination. Even if we perish, our Dao will eternally exist in this universe as part of its rules.”
Stone-Man Disc stepped forward, one step at a time.
“Throughout the vast expanse of ancient and modern times, countless Tenth Order civilizations have fallen. Their decline not only left behind civilizational relics as proof of their achievements, but their Dao also became part of the Great Dao's order, an eternal imprint, suspended in the sky, testifying to their past existence and achievements.”
“Looking back, their Great Dao still stretches vast like the stars, admired by us. Though one of us may fall today, we will not become unknown dust in history.”
The Three Heavenly Venerates also had calm expressions. Stepping into the ultimate Great Dao, their names would be etched in history across the entire grand universe, from ancient times to the present!
“Battle!”
They transformed into meteors, crashing down heavily across the land. Amidst flashing ice light and dense crashing sounds, they fully engaged in battle.
Emperor Qi and Caroline were instantly thrown back by the fierce storm.
Mengmei's Pangu True Form lost the protection of the Return-to-Void weapon. Its power plummeted, and it was instantly shattered into nothingness by the residual shockwaves.
Caroline and Emperor Qi stood far away. Witnessing the terrifying power that could crush everything, they felt a profound sense of dread, falling into complete silence.
Just moments ago, they had fought them back and forth, but now, those beings were no longer on the same dimension of existence.
In fact, they could have broken through long ago. They had merely accumulated power for countless millennia, deliberately suppressing their realms, preventing them from taking that final step.
“They are no longer beings of the same dimension.”
“Their Dao seeds still retain the appearance of the complete Great Dao genes of the previous 100 Weak Tenth Order, but their physical energy level is no longer in the same dimension.”
“They absorbed unimaginable energy reserves to break through. Their cells, flesh, and souls all underwent sublimation! Forming a terrifying, unimaginably transfigured ultimate species.”
The upper limit of energy stored in their cells, their resilience, defense, and regenerative power were no longer on the same level. If Ninth Order cells were Law Cells, then theirs were Great Dao Cells!
Every single cell contained the Great Dao of heaven and earth, embodying their self-culminated Dao!
This is the ultimate; the final form of life in the universe!
Caroline and Emperor Qi were, after all, still too young. They were only a little over ten thousand years old.
Moreover, they had only broken through to the Ninth Order about a millennium ago. Now, as Ninth Order Dao-achievers who had just stepped onto the Tenth Order path, compared to the accumulated foundations of these ancient beings, the disparity was immeasurable.
“This is beyond our ability to interfere with. We can only hope for the intervention of the Super Ancient Gods and others.”
Caroline whispered, her gaze distant and intensely solemn:
“Furthermore, this battle of theirs will likely conclude very soon... The Abyssal Blue Heavenly Venerates and Stone-Man Disc are fully aware that there's no more time to delay. They are now fully unleashing their power, striving to eliminate other beings and seize their Great Dao bloodlines... Thus, leaving one survivor to confront the terrifying ancient being that is about to descend!”
They have broken through, and that entity has likely begun to sense, pinpoint, and descend. The time taken will certainly not be long.
It might even descend the very next second.
Therefore, the Abyssal Blue Heavenly Venerates undoubtedly understand this better than anyone. They are, after all, of the same lineage; if they perish due to insufficient strength, it will also be to pave the way for the last of their kind to face that entity.
“Wuwuwuwu.”
Suddenly, they heard wailing.
Emperor Qi and Caroline turned around, following the sound. They found that in an extremely remote area, several quantum-life players were fussing over a small infant, muttering:
“Are you Stone-Man Disc’s spawn?”
“Hmph, it’s obvious at a glance that it’s like the Three Heavenly Venerates; another infant they cultivated, engaged in the shady business of bloodline mutation.”
“Let’s get some bloodline first.”
Several players, holding knives, scraped skin from the infant in the baby carriage.
“There’s no hope, everything is hopeless…” The infant continued to whimper.
“What are you doing?” Emperor Qi turned around.
A player seriously replied: “Oh, this infant has a concussion, probably went mad. It's been speaking nonsense and won't answer any questions. We felt something was wrong and, out of pity, we’re scraping its bones for healing, to see if it can be cured.”
Emperor Qi’s eyelids twitched slightly.
At such a critical, fate-deciding moment, were they still so frivolous?
Emperor Qi watched them in silence for a long time, before finally saying to the players, “Wait, share some of that bone-scraping material with me too.”
“Alright,” the players nodded, continuing their scraping.
The players were quite pragmatic.
At this final moment, whether their Huaxia Buddhist and Daoist civilization would be destroyed was not something they could decide. They could only do their best with what they could, such as stealing the bloodline of the Abyssal Blue race.
Emperor Qi looked at the infant and asked, “What hope are you speaking of?”
The infant glanced at Emperor Qi, as if seeing Stone-Man Disc in this young emperor. For some reason, it suddenly whimpered in reply, “Everything is destiny; everything is the beginning of a predetermined end.”
