Chapter 1282: The Response of the Immortal Path Palace

Urban Reality

"Ah? A Creator God?" Zhi Ji mumbled. "My husband is right; if such a being truly exists, perhaps that is indeed the name it should be called." After all, the title "Creator God" frequently appears in the indigenous myths of many ancient, savage, and undeveloped planetary civilizations.

However, as civilizations advance and become more enlightened, belief in the supernatural and chaotic gods diminishes. What are called gods, in the eyes of higher-dimensional civilizations, are merely powerful life forms. And from the perspective of certain tenth-tier technological civilizations that completely disbelieve in deities, the so-called tenth-tier Sages are nothing more than super individual life forms, created by accumulating resources from entire star systems and galaxies—a crystallization of their technological civilization's ultimate achievement. Such a being can interact with cosmic rules, manipulate antimatter, distort laws, and become a "technological cosmic phenomenon weapon" embodying parts of the universe's rules. They do not believe in gods, and naturally, they do not believe in a Creator God.

"A Creator God, huh." Zhi Ji scratched her head. With no outsiders present, she didn't bother maintaining her image, eating fruit and rocking her crossed leg, appearing somewhat endearingly naive. "Now, I'm a bit confused myself. After all, this incomplete algae universe truly did give birth to its own unseen Cosmic Will..."

"Zhi Ji, let's just assume for a moment, what if there is one?" Xu Zhi said, offering her another cup of tea. He patiently guided her, aiming to make her accept the world view of a Creator God. After all, as the Emperor, he belonged to the lineage of ancient deities, and she, having married him, should naturally adapt to his ways.

"If there is one..." Zhi Ji followed Xu Zhi's line of thought and pondered seriously. "It must be an existence without self-awareness! Some kind of natural cosmic law... After all, we've seen that even if it exists, the rules of this universe, the so-called Cosmic Will, cannot give rise to intelligence."

"That is indeed the case," Xu Zhi nodded. Zhi Ji was as knowledgeable as expected, and her logic was the most reasonable. However, he didn't need Zhi Ji to believe immediately. It was impossible to instantly deceive a Sage who knew all of the universe's history; he would simply have to subtly influence her over time. Even if something is false, if it is repeated enough, it will gradually sow a seed of doubt.

Moreover, Xu Zhi wasn't worried. When the "Myriad Worlds"—the 129,600 universes—eventually all develop their own unseen "Cosmic Will," the Sages of this era will inevitably begin to wonder: "Since the 129,600 Myriad Worlds each have their own Cosmic Will, do these nine central cosmic continents also possess their own will?"

The Sages of this era did not know the full history. They were beings of an era limited by its currents, unaware of the true historical texts from over ten billion years ago, isolated from information, and "superficially knowledgeable," making them easy to mislead. And if the Sages of this era believed it, it would mean that ninety-nine percent of the Sages in the entire universe would believe it. What then of the ancient beings in the Longevity Realm, looking out at the world? Wouldn't they be utterly bewildered? A Creator God? They would probably begin to doubt themselves.

"Let's continue our journey." In the following days, Xu Zhi leisurely continued to sail with Zhi Ji. The Chaos Sea was vast and boundless, unimaginably desolate. Yet, it had long since become a universe, one of the Myriad Worlds. After several great cosmic migrations, it had also taken in a multitude of beings to live within it. As a vast transcendent world, this universe had fully developed.

However, it seemed somewhat decayed and stagnant. Xu Zhi observed the skillful methods of the Sages, their various ways of exploiting the populace, truly befitting seasoned Sages. Xu Zhi was slightly surprised, thinking that such forced growth and excessive exploitation wouldn't produce any true prodigies, but he didn't bother to interfere.

At the Longevity Dao Palace, wisps of chaotic energy lingered, and sacred Grand Dao rules cascaded down.

"Zhi Ji has chosen to fully re-enter the mortal world, found a Dao companion, and entered the realm of mortals." An entity opened its eyes, giving off a heart-stopping sensation.

"She had to enter the mortal world," a deep male voice replied from nearby. "Only by breaking through can she re-establish herself and gain an opportunity to contend with us, to seize a sliver of fate amidst the vast populace."

All the entities knew this was Zhi Ji's only choice. In the Longevity Dao Palace, besides the elusive Lord, there were nine entities in total, each possessing earth-shattering talent and power. Zhi Ji, though one of them, was not known for her combat prowess. Her special bloodline, easy to detect, had contributed significantly in the past, but direct combat strength remained her weakness. Zhi Ji was naturally suited for venturing into the mortal world, and thus, she often bore the mission of handling external affairs for them.

However, this was not an easy task. There was too much dirty and tiring work. Zhi Ji might seem to have been active in the mortal world for hundreds of thousands of years... But in reality, the concentrated intensity of that period was terrifying. Each time she emerged, for a few decades, she could suppress a generation of Zerg Mother Queens, observe an era, and traverse through it... These countless decades and centuries, compressed, amounted to those hundreds of thousands of years, far exceeding her previous six million years of life. How could she not be aged and weary? Her hundreds of thousands of years had been incredibly "spectacular." It could be said that she had traversed almost all historical cosmic nodes over ten billion years, personally witnessing the vicissitudes and changes of eras.

"Her heart has grown old," one being commented.

"She has long harbored a desire for seclusion."

"You must understand, in our era, there were too many geniuses in the nine universes—trillions of prodigies, interacting across various universes. Our minds were pure, unblemished, and transparent, single-mindedly seeking the Dao. We did not concern ourselves with emotions, did not marry, did not seek partners, forging ahead against the current to reach where we are today... Too many trivial external affairs and mundane matters easily affect our Dao heart, leading to distracting thoughts," an ancient, sacred being said with a cold voice.

What defines a Dao seeker? A Dao seeker with a pure heart aims for transcendence, to become a supreme Sage among mortals, which requires abandoning many things. They all possessed hearts as pure and clear as glass, like Dao Changsheng, free of distracting thoughts, which enabled them to usher in an era.

"Indeed, over billions of years, Zhi Ji emerged time and again, and her mortal heart was stirred on many occasions. She took a liking to outstanding figures from countless eras, but she always suppressed it. She knew she was long-lived and eternal, while mortals of the era would eventually decay. When they died, she would return to the Longevity Realm with infinite lifespan, only adding to her worries, which is why she suppressed her feelings. But now..."

"She has completely fallen into the mortal world."

"She married down to a mortal."

"Knowing that her own life might not be long, she chose to degenerate directly."

A woman with a cold voice sneered, "A dignified Heavenly God of the primordial era, with eternal life, to descend into the mortal realm and marry a pathetic ant!"

*Whoosh.*

An image appeared before them: the Emperor, drinking tea and eating fruit on the deck.
