Chapter 1470: Completion Remarks

Some might say that the final section of "Historical Records" yesterday could have perfectly concluded the story. Indeed, all plot threads and hidden clues had already been resolved.

However, before the story ended, I still wanted to write about new hope.

Therefore, I added three more chapters, symbolizing new hope, and chose to conclude the story on November 1st.

From our perspective, the story truly has ended, with all plot points resolved. For me, it was a conclusive ending without any unforeseen changes; everything had been predetermined.

But for the characters within the story, their world is still a new beginning. If everything becomes clear, it implies stagnation and a lack of ambition. People ultimately need new goals, new dreams, and must continue to pursue new things. Therefore, I added some new future plans, serving as a fresh start and a new beginning.

I have many thoughts and feelings, but there's not much more to say.

I'll just ramble a bit.

The story describes the evolution of an extraordinary cosmic sandbox, historical trends, the advancement of extraordinary systems through the ages, and an era of mighty currents and dramatic changes.

It merely revolves around destiny, overarching trends, and the struggles of historical figures.

Almin, Medusa, Dao Changsheng, Caroline, Yimang, Tuxin, and even the Lord of the Immortal Realm hidden behind the scenes, all put in their utmost effort, using every means at their disposal to fulfill their desired dreams.

They seem to have won, succeeded, and given their all, but did they truly defy fate? Did they escape the universe's overarching trends and change their destiny?

Not at all.

If there were no Yimang, there would be an Ether.

If there were no Zhizhu, there would be someone else.

All the heroes throughout history, with their magnificent epic sagas and their determination to face death, were merely slaves to the overarching trends.

They thought they had changed things, but nothing truly changed.

Even Xu Zhi himself seemed to have escaped... but did he truly escape?

It's just that dark.

It's just that fatalistic.

In the final realm, at the eleventh order—the individual human limit where one masters truths equivalent to the universe and exists on the same level—they might sadly discover that they haven't escaped the overarching trend at all. This is because they horrifyingly realize that they themselves are merely the next unconscious, vast universe!

Existing on the same level means one will eventually become the "evil dragon," a cosmic prison, the next natural order, the next great universe.

Why is it so malicious?

Am I trying to "make weep" those eleventh-order beings who pursue the dream of ultimate truth in the end?

What profound meaning am I trying to convey?

None, it's not some grand concept, just a twisted sense of humor.

Before, when reading so many books, they all preached that humanity could conquer nature, constantly defying heaven, and the great universe was always being beaten up. The universe was too miserable; who did it ever offend?

This became very uninteresting, so I wanted to do the opposite.

Is the Heavenly Dao strong?

No, I deliberately make it not strong.

It's still an unconscious force of nature; the universe still has no self-will, but no one can defy its overarching trends. No one can conquer nature.

You and I are both dust in the great current.

After all, every time I watch astronomy videos on Bilibili, I exclaim in awe at how vast and immense the universe is. Just looking at the size and scale of Earth makes us feel truly insignificant.

I always feel there must be other life beyond the universe.

The second soul-searching question arises: What am I trying to express?

Humanity is being nurtured, not by Xu Zhi, but by the unconscious universe.

It's probably that everyone is a part of the historical current, and you and I are no exception.

Even Jack Ma is no exception.

Yes, this is how I always comfort myself. Even today, as I bought discounted items in advance for Singles' Day, I kept telling myself: "To the universe, we are all equal specks of dust. To the universe, we are all poor."

To all working people, let's persevere together!

Alright, I've rambled enough. This concludes it.

As for a new book, I'll take a break for a few weeks to a month or two before starting to research the outline and system for it. I'll also write some things I truly want to write.

After all, I'm too tired. Writing this book of over four million words, I didn't take a single day off. Towards the end, some readers noticed that many parts started to suffer in quality; in reality, my writing state was poor.

If all goes well, the new book might start this month.

I wish all my readers happiness and good health. May we have the fortune to meet again.
