Chapter 816: Black God War, Bloodstained Universe

With a boom, the three swiftly engaged in battle, clashing wildly as matter at the center of their confrontation was annihilated.

Only Xu Zhi remained, seated high above, his expression serene. After all, he was an observer of the era, not one to interfere excessively, but rather a witness to history.

“This is the optimal approach. While the main bodies clash, portions will be severed to slaughter living beings. It simply comes down to who can kill faster…”

While the main bodies fought, their avatars also battled on various planets, plundering energy. This created two distinct battlefronts.

Across the entire universe, a true divine war erupted. The moment it began, it became a fight to the death, reaching its absolute peak.

Avatars of the three terrifying beings clashed wildly, plunging the entire universe into utter chaos. Invisible particle rays, light, gravity, and spacetime were all twisted into grotesque forms at the center of the conflict.

Meanwhile, various avatars slaughtered on the planets. It was an unimaginable war.

Planet after planet was destroyed. Countless beings wailed in agony. Blood flowed everywhere as avatars encountering each other began clashing across the starry skies. Those not yet engaged descended upon planets, bringing destruction and shattering countless life-sustaining worlds.

In another universe, a divine official intercepted the Three Pillar Gods, tearing through the void as a terrifying battle erupted.

However, minutes later, the divine official was decapitated, his head carried away as the victor proceeded into the distance.

“It’s useless. Aside from the two strongest—the Super Saiyan God and that gifted creature—even 5% of their power is more than you can withstand.”

On Stone Star.

A terrifying entity descended, an avatar of Emperor Qi.

Emperor Qi's gaze was cold. Before arriving, he had already passed through and destroyed a planet.

With a mere lift of his hand, the entire planet shattered, billions of living beings exploded, and with an open mouth, he inhaled, drawing out wisps of their immense life energy.

“I can sense that this planet is one of the cosmic centers, home to countless powerful beings, and rich in life energy.”

Emperor Qi's majestic body was wreathed in mist, his long hair flowing freely. He exuded an empty detachment, devoid of joy or sorrow, like an ancient azure sky suspended high above, gazing down upon the beautiful planet.

In the void, Frieza already stood silently at a high vantage point. “This planet is beyond your reach,” he declared.

Emperor Qi turned around.

“I just saw you. And now you’ve returned to protect this planet? Even 5% of my power is more than you can withstand.” Emperor Qi's expression was calm as he sent out a palm strike. “Your individual combat power is far inferior to that of the Super Saiyan God, who harnesses the strength of countless of his kin.”

A terrifying battle erupted.

Emperor Qi's voice was calm. “You shouldn’t have stopped me. Dying by my hand is far preferable to dying by the Three Pillar Gods’.”

“I don’t truly intend to kill them, though to me, they are indeed mere blades of grass. They possess a far more perfect utilitarian value. After all, most of a living being’s energy resides in their flesh and blood; the soul is only a small part. I will leave their souls behind, to become part of my Blood Soul Realm, to live in the world of the dead. Even in the Underworld of our Seven Realms, Ermine needs this vital force to populate her world.”

“After consuming their flesh and blood, their souls will remain, just as when I destroyed the Nine Revolutions Civilization within me, transforming them into soul entities,” Emperor Qi said with a smile.

Indeed, souls possessed significant long-term utilitarian value.

After all, soul entities could cultivate, training in the Underworld to become stronger. When they eventually died of old age and their souls shattered, even more energy could be harvested.

As civilization had developed to this point, the methods of these celestial titans had become quite ‘gentle’ and sophisticated. Soul entities could live a second life for cultivation; the deceased were happy, and the rulers were also pleased.

Powerful soul entities might become ghost gods and join their ranks. Weaker soul entities, upon cultivating and dying, would disperse more energy, making it a guaranteed profitable endeavor.

The beings appeared to continue living, experiencing a second life in the world of the dead, yet they were like laborers, using their remaining existence to generate energy for their masters.

“You’re seeking death!”

Frieza roared.

His opponent’s gaze remained cold as a punch came crashing down. Emperor Qi was truly too powerful; even against a mere energy avatar, Frieza found it difficult to resist. Yet, he continued to fight, protecting his home planet.

The entire atmosphere shattered.

A moment later, surprise flickered across Emperor Qi’s face.

He saw Frieza, covered in blood before him. Though clearly on the verge of collapsing at any moment, Frieza still stood tall and unyielding, his eyes hollow and fixed on the space ahead.

“Very well. I’ve taken too long and wasted too much time. This avatar might even be destroyed by you in a desperate mutual strike. Time is of the essence; I’ll go to other planets where the gains will be far greater.”

This avatar of Emperor Qi departed.

Frieza remained standing motionless, atop the planet’s highest peak, gazing at the sky, like a steadfast statue of a war god.

After a while.

Spluttering and gurgling! Frieza’s body burst open violently, spewing out copious amounts of blood. His tall, slender physique withered, shriveling into a gaunt, shriveled wreck, like a dead tree trunk.

Wails erupted across Stone Star. “King Frieza!” they cried, sobbing.

Some powerful individuals rushed to him. Everyone gazed at his figure, standing tall on the planet’s peak, a guardian for all its inhabitants.

“Teacher Zak…” a disciple from his Martial Arts Palace sobbed, calling Frieza by his true name. They could see no hope left.

They had resisted this time, but what if the next harbinger of destruction descended again?

“I… Zak?” Frieza gasped for air, leaning slowly against a large tree beneath the cliff. He recalled distant memories.

His younger, frenzied self, the young white dwarf from countless parallel universes — in that moment, he seemed to return to the distant past, seeing those initial glorious years.

On the streets, red beetles gave speeches, and birds flew freely.

“I have a dream! Our children will live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin or their race, but by the content of their character!”

“We will be able to work together, pray together, struggle together, go to jail together, stand up for freedom together, and fight against the apocalypse together!”

Inside the Martial Arts Palace.

A white dwarf looked at the sunlight in the sky, as if trying to grasp it. The youth’s eyes shimmered with iridescent light, filled with dreams and hope.

“We are not lowly slaves. We, the white dwarfs, possess the mighty bloodline of the legendary Frost Demon race…”

“From this day forward, every palace master of the Martial Arts Palace shall be known as Frieza.”

He paused slightly; half an hour had already passed. Suddenly, he turned his head and saw a terrifying entity descending through the atmosphere. It was the Three Pillar Gods.

“Already… another one?” Frieza forced himself to his feet, gazing defiantly at the sky, his fighting spirit blazing. “Miracles of destiny are forged in blood.”

“I have a dream!”

“No matter what happens to the entire universe, no matter how many times we fail, no matter how many corpses pile up,” Frieza stood up and roared towards the heavens,

“Monster! Get off my most beloved planet!!!”

In the vast, dark depths of the universe, everything was utterly silent. There was no sound, not even light, as if all the light in the universe had been drawn away by a distant war.

At that moment, Emperor Qi, wounded from his recent battle with Frieza, was heading towards another planet.

Suddenly, a figure appeared beside him: a green-skinned, grotesque yet beautiful beetle-like creature.

“I’ve seen you before.”

Emperor Qi stopped and smiled. “Do you intend to take advantage of my injuries and strike while the iron is hot? Do you also wish to stop me?”

Cell, slender and handsome, revealed a sinister smile. “Yes, I am that shameless. Killing you should bring me great rewards.”

“I believe you should rather head to Stone Star behind us, as it is far more dangerous,” Emperor Qi said.

“Help the beings of a planet? Help Frieza? Ridiculous. I am Lord Cell, a monster whose instinct is slaughter! If he was killed by an avatar of the Three Pillar Gods, he deserved it. I would merely lament that there’s one less enemy and opponent in the world…”

Emperor Qi’s smile faded. “The energy of a powerful being is comparable to an entire planet. You’re not fleeing, but actively offering yourself?”

Cell immediately attacked, and a terrifying battle erupted.

Terrifying bloodbaths erupted across the entire universe as powerful beings on various planets fought back desperately.

A native deity of a planet fled rapidly, shedding tears of blood.

“It’s no use, it’s no use… The cosmic calamity is upon us. This is a great annihilation. No one can become an eagle soaring through the universe’s destruction, surviving into the next epoch.”

Ultimately, this powerful deity could not escape. A figure slowly emerged, wreathed in cold radiance, and swiftly slaughtered the deity.
