Chapter 1634: Lost World

In this foreign land, over a thousand years have passed. Many geniuses have risen, and many beauties have aged; generations have come and gone in this world, yet few have managed to leave a lasting mark.

As for Chu Feng and the other outsiders, they remained very low-key, constantly engaged in arduous cultivation in quiet seclusion. The native inhabitants had long since ceased their attacks, having already experienced their formidable power.

Chu Feng put down the ancient scroll, its surface bearing the marks of time, and rose from beneath an ancient tree. Time had left no trace on his face; he remained youthful, but his eyes had become far more profound. Over the years, he primarily focused on comprehending secret arts, perusing imperial scriptures, studying breathing techniques, and researching various profound and enigmatic ancient texts. Most importantly, he was nurturing his body and spirit, allowing his body, fatigued from evolution, to rest and letting the surging life forces cool down to reach their most ideal state, in preparation for his next advancement.

The mountain peak he resided on was relatively quiet, with few disturbances. However, as he descended the mountain, he noticed a valley in the distance shaking as if an earthquake had struck, with boulders rolling and the mountain cracking. In the valley, a massive, jet-black, shiny ox was performing its breathing exercises. Each breath caused the valley to rumble, and with just a slight exertion of its power, it would crack the valley floor.

The Great Black Ox had truly lived up to its name; it was impossibly colossal. When it revealed its true form, it resembled a dark mountain, filling most of the valley. Chu Feng walked over, took off the Vajra bangle from his wrist, and with a flick of his hand, tossed it onto the Great Black Ox. Divine runes circulated, causing the ox to bellow loudly. Even its mountain-like black body began to tremble, barely able to withstand the pressure.

“It's too heavy!” the Great Black Ox cried. “You're already a quasi-Cosmic level being, and you're putting your nascent Dao artifact on me. Are you trying to turn me into a beef patty in a roundabout way?” Its true form's hide was glossy black, thick as a waterfall, white mist billowed from its nostrils, and its bones crackled all over.

“To make you stronger, I must be strict,” Chu Feng said. “Besides, I haven't applied any quasi-Cosmic level power.” Chu Feng then left.

Soon after, he arrived near a pond where Ouyang Da Long was sprawled like a toad by the water's edge, sleeping soundly. Chu Feng picked him up and directly tossed him into a nearby abyss where chilly winds howled and ghostly wails echoed.

“Damn it! Even in a dream, I'm back in the Nine Netherworld, naturally formed by heaven and earth, starting cultivation again? Argh, it's not a dream! Who threw me down here? Help!” Ouyang the Toad shrieked.

Soon after, Chu Feng went to see the six-eared macaque siblings. They were sitting cross-legged, cultivating within the essence of solar fire, quite diligently. After Chu Feng walked over, he looked them over carefully. Finally, he made his move on the monkey, Mi Tian, not wanting to bother his sister. He took out the Time Furnace, leaving it open without activating its flames, and threw the monkey inside.

“Aargh!” The monkey instantly bristled
