Chapter 773: Sun Bumian

Orange-yellow light shone from the gaps in the train door.

As the door opened, the orange-yellow light, as if affected by the Grey Realm, transformed into a streak of white. Immediately after, a young man in a Tang suit slowly emerged.

Jian Changsheng, who had been speeding along, froze at the sight.

His eyes were filled with bewilderment.

Before he could react, the man gently pulled down his small, round sunglasses. A pair of mysterious black and red rings, like the pupils of a waking lion, nested and appeared in his eyes!

"Whether you're from the Scarlet Sky Cult or the Fusion Faction, picking this train was your bad luck," the young man stated calmly.

Jian Changsheng: "?"

"Wait, who are you..." Before Jian Changsheng could finish his question, the young man lifted his foot and kicked, seemingly through the air, at the incoming streak of blood-red light!

The next moment, the young man's sideburns, like the fur of a waking lion, turned into burning gold and red, then were stained black and white by the Grey Realm. An indescribable aura of mystery swept forth!

In the void, a spectral image of a waking lion, dozens of times larger than the train, roared down. Its paw, like a colossal pillar, suddenly slammed down from the grey clouds!

*Boom!*

Jian Changsheng, now a blur of blood-red, was instantly slammed into the cracked earth!

Rising dust obscured the sky and earth. The figure in the Tang suit stood calmly at the rear of the train, watching the scene, the rings in his eyes slowly fading from sight.

He put his small, round sunglasses back on. After a deep glance at the cracked earth, he turned and walked back into the train car.

*Click—*

As the metal door at the rear of the train closed, the interior space was once again isolated from the Grey Realm. Orange-yellow light filtered through the small porthole, silently spreading a glow in the darkness.

The train rumbled away into the distance.

After an unknown amount of time, Jian Changsheng slowly struggled to his feet from the ruined earth.

Covered in blood, he glared in the direction the train had departed, veins bulging on his neck. Although not severely injured, that single kick had completely shattered any chance he had of catching the train. From now on, he would have to proceed on foot.

"Damn it... damn it!!!" The more Jian Changsheng thought about it, the angrier he became. The image of that annoying young man's face clearly appeared in his mind, fueling his rage.

"You'd better hope I never see you again... otherwise, I'll stomp your head in!!"

Jian Changsheng spat, then grumbling, he hoisted Chen Ling onto his back again and dutifully walked along the railway tracks towards the horizon.

The outline of a massive domain was taking shape not far away.

The Domain Train slowly pulled into the station.

With a whistle, the train doors opened, and a few scattered passengers exited the cars. After everyone else had disembarked, the young man, still in his Tang suit and now carrying a lion dance head, leisurely stepped out.

"Sir, on behalf of all the crew, I thank you," a crew member said respectfully, waiting at the train car door.

"No problem at all, no problem~" the young man chuckled.

He was about to turn and leave, then seemed to remember something and walked back, step by step.

"Oh, by the way, I wanted to ask something."

"Please, sir."

"If I want to go to the Boundless Domain, how do I get there now?"

"The Boundless Domain?" Hearing those four words, all the crew members looked startled, their faces turning grim. They exchanged glances but offered no answer, as if the place had become a taboo subject.

"Yes, that's right."

"Sir... what do you want to do in the Boundless Domain?"

"Nothing special, I just heard it's quite interesting there, so I want to take a look."

"Sir, you really shouldn't go... The Boundless Domain is not a good place right now," the crew member said nervously. "It's very dangerous there, like an unstable ticking time bomb. No one knows what might happen."

"Didn't they say some sort of Adjudication Proxy Group went there? How is it still dangerous?"

"The Adjudication Proxy Group... regarding that, you'll know if you check this morning's newspaper after you exit the station. You've been on the Domain Train this whole time, so you might not be fully aware of some news."

"Oh, I see. So what if I insist on going?"

The crew member hadn't expected the man to be so stubborn, so he simply stated, "Sir, there's no way. All trains to the Boundless Domain are currently inoperable. Unless you cross the Grey Realm yourself, you won't be able to get there."

"...Alright then."

The young man sighed deeply and, with some regret, walked towards the exit.

As he reached the station exit, his steps suddenly halted. He looked back at the railway track that stretched into the Grey Realm, and a thought inexplicably popped into his mind.

Crossing the Grey Realm... Speaking of which, that strange person on the road earlier wouldn't have just walked all the way here, would they?

Hmm...

Never mind, even if they did come, what business is it of mine?

He was just an ordinary passerby who helped when he saw injustice... People from the Scarlet Sky Cult and the Fusion Faction probably wouldn't dare to be too rampant in the Celestial Pivot Domain.

The young man exited the platform, determined his direction, and headed straight for the nearby street.

"Newspapers for sale, newspapers!"

"The Boundless Domain is in turmoil again! What is the fate of the Adjudication Proxy Group?!"

"Absolutely major! Absolutely shocking firsthand news! Only two yuan! Only two yuan..."

A child carrying newspapers on his back rode a bicycle down the street, heading towards him.

Seeing him, the young man stopped the child directly. "Hey kid, give me one."

"Two yuan!"

"...It's already noon. This isn't breaking news anymore; you should give me a discount!"

Ignoring the child's odd look, the young man painstakingly gathered one yuan from his pockets and handed it to the child, pained. "I only have one yuan on me, no more!"

"..." The child rolled his eyes.

At first glance, the man's attire seemed quite good—stylish and sophisticated. But in the end, after rummaging around for a while, he only had one yuan.

After muttering "What a poseur" to himself, he disdainfully pulled out a newspaper, shoved it into the young man's hand, and turned to walk away.

The young man, wearing sunglasses, seemed unfazed by the child's disdainful look. He opened the newspaper, scanned the enlarged and bolded headline, and his expression immediately became extremely animated!

"...Indeed, it's major news... Now, things have gotten even more interesting."

After reading the newspaper once, the young man rolled it up and continued walking towards the street corner.

About a few minutes later, he arrived in front of a seemingly unassuming general store. After glancing at the shop name above, he walked straight inside.

The general store was located in a very secluded spot, with few customers on regular days. The young man stopped in front of the owner, who casually glanced at him.

"What do you want to buy?"

"...A glimmer of hope."

The owner's eyes narrowed. "Show me your identification."

The young man took off his small, round sunglasses, pulled a playing card from his pocket, and placed it on the table.

—The Six of Diamonds.

"I am Sun Bumian," the young man stated calmly.
