The Pseudo-Dao Universe?
Xu Zhi heard this term and felt it was very fitting.
But he felt quite uneasy, and couldn't help but ask, "Does that mean the Zerg Sub-Brain can't shield my real-world coordinates either?"
Xu Zhi naturally knew that the commotion was significant. During the previous battle in the Cosmic Garden, Medusa's great explosion was terrifyingly vast, yet it was still shielded from the outside by the Zerg's protective barrier. But now, it can't be done?
"As long as there's enough power, the Zerg Sub-Brain can still shield real-world coordinates..." the Zerg Sub-Brain replied. "However, for certain ancient beings of the multiverse, they don't need real-world coordinates to descend into that universe... It's like traversing parallel universes. If you create a Pseudo-Dao Universe, it's akin to a miniature parallel universe, like a series of cosmic bubbles. To them, it's obvious... they will try every means to descend and find a way to enter."
Xu Zhi understood. Although the Zerg Sub-Brain could provide shielding, these beings could sense his existence, and they might try to find him. Honestly, that single sentence contained a lot of information.
"Beyond this universe, there are parallel universes?" Xu Zhi sensed a crucial element. So, the parallel universe theory is true? If they are parallel universes, then the laws of other parallel universes would be different from this one? Would the powerful beings from our universe truly become mortals if they went to other universes?
A mechanical voice responded: "What is the Ultimate? Once one merges with the Dao, they subconsciously know all the truths of the universe; that is the Ultimate. What lies beyond the universe is naturally known to such beings. Aren't parallel universes obvious? Any Tenth-Tier Ultimate being, standing at the apex of the universe, can sense this. There are universes beyond the universe, but it's not a big deal. To them, it's like a division of territories, similar to another continent across an ocean. Some civilizations call it 'Heavens Beyond Heaven,' some call it the multiverse, and some call it barbarian territory... It's just that the host has never possessed universal laws and cannot cross the cosmic barrier."
Xu Zhi: "....."
Damn it, normal Tenth-Tier Ultimate beings can do that? Subconsciously sense and traverse outside the universe? I really am a fake! Xu Zhi felt terrible. He felt helpless; others had that subconscious perception, but he didn't. Indeed, others merge with the "Heaven," becoming part of the universe, and can know many truths about cosmic rules, while he cannot. Thankfully, the Zerg Sub-Brain compensates him for this lack of knowledge.
"Most Tenth-Tier Ultimates, including the previous Nine-Headed Ancient Mother, primarily reside outside the universe to reduce the universe's assimilation of them," the Zerg Sub-Brain said. No wonder the previous Nine-Headed Ancient Mother arrived so slowly. So that's where they live! Xu Zhi had been wondering where such powerful beings lived before.
The Sub-Brain said, "Mother Emperor, please don't overcomplicate the concept of parallel universes. Universes are diverse yet unified. Numerous parallel universes together are referred to as the Macro-Universe, and they share a unified lifespan... The laws of other parallel universes are different, but largely similar... Beings who descend into a parallel universe will indeed experience a decline in combat power. If that universe doesn't contain even a trace of the Great Dao law they cultivated, the highest probability is that they will indeed become mortals."
Xu Zhi quickly grasped the Zerg Sub-Brain's meaning. If the entire Macro-Universe were compared to Earth, then the multiverse would be like the continents and countries on Earth—America, Asia, Australia. The customs, or laws, of each "country" are different but generally similar, as they all belong to the Macro-Universe within this cosmic epoch. The multiverse belongs to the entire Macro-Universe, just as countless continents belong to Earth. If Earth were destroyed, could the continents on it escape? If the Macro-Universe is destroyed, no one in the multiverse can escape.
"Does that mean Pseudo-Dao Universes aren't unique?" Xu Zhi suddenly asked.
The Zerg Sub-Brain explained, "Just as Ninth-Tier beings can create small worlds by covering a piece of land with their high-dimensional spacetime laws... some Tenth-Tier Ultimates, powerful enough to transcend the ultimate, can create Pseudo-Dao Worlds, which are like isolated small islands outside continents... Because they are incomplete and fragmented, they are called Pseudo-Dao Universes. But only truly powerful and ancient great beings, who have mastered over 49 of the universe's rules, can form a Pseudo-Dao Universe... Most Tenth-Tier Ultimates live in small-world planes outside the universe, not Pseudo-Dao Universes, as the laws they themselves contain are far from sufficient to form a small universe."
Xu Zhi understood completely. Beings like the Nine-Headed Ancient Mother, he realized, probably used their own laws to construct a small world outside the universe, a Dao field plane belonging to their Great Dao, serving as their 'Heavens Beyond Heaven' residence!
"Tenth-Tier Ultimates are somewhat like the Primordial Saints in ancient myths: they merge with the Dao, control the order of heaven and earth, and reside in the chaos of 'Heavens Beyond Heaven'." Xu Zhi rubbed his nose, "No wonder Tenth-Tier Ultimates are rarely seen in this land. It's because they are beings of another dimension, living on a different plane than you... Only newly ascended Tenth-Tiers like those from the Abyssal Blue Divine Domain, who lack the ability to create extra-cosmic law planes, would remain within the universe, associating with lower civilizations, still moving through the vast, endless, exhausting, and boring starry void of suns, stars, and ancient ruins. The ancient ruins of Tenth-Tiers are mostly traces left by those like Abyssal Blue Heavenly Venerate, who were killed shortly after breaking through, before they had a chance to create their own 'Heavens Beyond Heaven'."
Ninth-Tier achieves Dao, distorts laws, and covers a small world with high-dimensional spacetime. Tenth-Tier Ultimate creates laws, and outside the universe, uses their own laws to create a small universe. Xu Zhi fully understood his awkward predicament. Even if his combat power could defy the heavens, without 'Dao', he was still a fake Tenth-Tier without Tenth-Tier authority. This is also why Tenth-Tier offspring are generally unwelcome, as there's almost no real possibility for them to achieve the ultimate Great Dao.
"But most Tenth-Tier Ultimates can only create an extra-cosmic small world, not a universe. Only beings who have mastered over 49 of the universe's rules can barely create a self-sustaining Pseudo-Dao Universe... No... not everyone is Medusa!" Xu Zhi suddenly felt a chill down his spine. Medusa was able to master so many laws only because of her unique characteristics. How do other Tenth-Tier Ultimate beings achieve this? After all, an ultimate being with a Great Dao bloodline, even if they seize the Great Dao of others, can only cultivate a limited number of Great Daos! Who could cultivate over 49 of the universe's laws? Wouldn't that require thousands or tens of thousands of gene slots to succeed? To create a Pseudo-Dao Universe with that? Can one person have that many gene slots? Could it be that the mysterious beings capable of creating "Pseudo-Dao Universes" are even stronger than Tenth-Tier Ultimates? Are there Eleventh-Tiers? But Tenth-Tier is already the ultimate achievement of the Great Dao... The more Xu Zhi stood at the Tenth-Tier Ultimate level, discerning all the root secrets of the universe, the more he felt a chill.
The Zerg Mother Emperor said, "One point to note is that the opponent's Pseudo-Dao Universe is a replica of the universe they reside in; the laws are identical, copied over..."
Copied? Only now did Xu Zhi realize. They cultivate universal laws, so the small universes they create must also use the universal rules they've already mastered. They can't escape that framework; they are essentially replicas of a main universe.
"I, however, am different... I, through Medusa's cosmic big bang, directly deduced the creation of other universes... My kind, an unprecedented alien law, with rules different from the main universe I reside in, can be called an 'Outer Dao Universe,' and it will naturally be rejected by the Macro-Universe! Moreover, Pseudo-Dao Universes typically created by other beings are outside the universe, in the gaps of the multiverse, whereas mine is established within the universe, which is unprecedented."
Xu Zhi suddenly understood why the Zerg Sub-Brain was so talkative. He also wanted to enjoy the pleasures of being powerful in the 'Heavens Beyond Heaven' outside the universe, but since he wasn't a true Great Dao Ultimate, he couldn't jump out of the universe, so he naturally had to mess around within it.
"After all that, I realize I'm not the first to create a universe, but theirs aren't true universes; they're merely small replicated planes, cloned as their residences." Xu Zhi felt he was unknowledgeable; powerful Tenth-Tiers could essentially all build them, just with varying degrees of completeness. "But my universe will be rejected by the Macro-Universe. It's extremely evil and strange, truly unprecedented... fitting the face of a God of Destruction!"
Xu Zhi's determination wasn't completely gone. Normal Tenth-Tier Ultimates, after creating their Great Dao laws, use them to establish their own Dao fields, their 'Heavens Beyond Heaven' residences. And he was, to some extent, also a Tenth-Tier Ultimate. Although he was limited and couldn't leave the universe, couldn't he establish his own Dao field within the universe?
